TFW2005 Member Samus_Ng has posted to YouTube, a video clip featuring Transformers: Dark of the Moon Leader Class Sentinel Prime.
On this small clip, we get to listen to two new soundclips which we've never heard before. It seems as though Sentinel maybe speaking two dialogs from the movie itself. “Good to see you alive, Optimus!" "What has happened to the Allspark?" What a week for BotCon 2011.
On Monday, March 21st BotCon 2011 registration was opened. It hasn't been a full 48 hours since registration opened and the following items are sold out: - Wednesday Customizing Class (SOLD OUT) - Thursday Customizing Class (SOLD OUT) - Loose Figure Set (SOLD OUT) - Non-Attending Iacon Package (SOLD OUT) The only way that you can get yourself the BotCon 2011 Stunticon Toy Set is to register for the Primus Package. Or pay the high price of post-convention prices as this set is promising to be one of the most sought after BotCon sets ever created. The official BotCon Twitter also posted this update: Iacon packages sold out. Plz do not register as Primus and then ask to switch over to non-attending. Those will be cancelled... No cheating the system! Continue to discuss all things BotCon by discussing all the developments in our on-going discussion thread! BotCon employees are also predicting a complete toy set sell-out by the weekend based on sale trends. Let's see what happens! |

Here's something that almost got lost in the shuffle of new threads - a really cool Bumblebee cuddly toy! It's billed as a "talking soft toy" and is based on the live action movie series version of Bumblebee. He's due out in late July 2011 according to UK site Forbidden Planet where this listing originates from, with a price of £14.99. But wait, there's more! Forbidden Planet also lists two more, as yet unseen, talking plushie Transformers - a Movie Optimus Prime, and a third unknown character. Who could it be?

Happy news for Transformers: Prime Fans aaaaand… Transformers: Rescue Bots Fans.
Hasbro-Discovery Hub revealed their 2012 plans and while Transformers: Prime continues, a new TV Series based on Hasbro’s upcoming toyline; Transformers: Rescue Bots will hit TV screens. If you missed the TFW2005 Exclusive Transformers: Rescue Bots Concept Art news, you can click here and take a look at what you (and/or your kids) will get later this year. Many TFW2005 members expressed their happiness regarding the upcoming toyline and said Hasbro made a very smart move with a “really well conceived” concept. Official Description of the TV Series: “Rescue Bots” (Hub Original Series, working title) Inspired by the iconic “Transformers” brand, a group of Autobots, too young to protect humanity alongside Optimus Prime and his team, are partnered with a close-knit human family of first responders. Together, they learn teamwork and heroism alongside their new human friends in this animated series produced by Hasbro Studios. Plans for the “Post-Movie Era” is well underway it seems. |

Alex Irvine’s Transformers: Exiles official product description is now available at Amazon.
Product Description The epic battles between Optimus Prime and Megatron have long thrilled Transformers fans. But these two giants weren’t always great leaders and bitter foes. This new novel continues the electrifying saga that started with Transformers: Exodus, unveiling the origins of the conflict—the explosive events that unfolded before Optimus and Megatron arrived Earthside, forever altering the destiny of their kind. Once allies, Optimus and Megatron are now enemies in a civil war. To prevent Cybertron from falling into Megatron’s hands, Optimus jettisons the planet’s heart, the AllSpark, into space, then sets out to find it with Megatron hot on his heels. Optimus is determined to defeat Megatron, bring the AllSpark home, and restore Cybertron to its former glory. But a saboteur lurks aboard Optimus’s spaceship, and ahead lie lost colonies, some of them hostile. Optimus needs help of the highest caliber, but from whom? Heroes such as Solus, Nexus, and Vector Prime are just names from make-believe stories of long ago. Or are they? Maybe it’s time for Optimus Prime to find out. Maybe it’s the only chance he has to vanquish mighty Megatron. More info about the book, after the jump. |

Want to take your Transformers fandom to the next level? How about accomplishing that feat by owning a piece of the Movie franchise - and we're not talking about the sock Shia stuffed the Matrix dust into! Going under the hammer in a few days is one of the actual vehicles used in Transformers Revenge of the Fallen - specifically, one of the stunt motorcycles used for the Autobot Chromia. Check out the auction here.

This week's Botcon 2011 reveal is... the box artwork! Just posted on Botcon.com is a mock up of the box for this year's Animated Stunticons set. It's a cool and unique style that evokes more than a slight memory of Speed Racer with its checkered background, topped off with a nice big Decepticon symbol and mugshots of all five Stunticons around the outside. One important thing to note - Motormaster here is referred to as "The Motormaster", in line with his role as the ringleader of this Stunt Troop.
Check out the box set art at Botcon.com! If you like it and want to get it, there's only Primus packages remaining for this year's Botcon and they're heading toward a complete sell out FAST, so act now to avoid disappointment on what is sure to become one of the hottest Botcon sets since the 2006 Beast Wars or 2007 Seekers sets. Head over and pre-register your Primus package today! |

An era is ending. Masterpiece Convoy, also known as 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime, which back in 2003 we held a poll here to help Hasbro determine various details that you, the fans, wanted to see included in the toy, is being retired. The final use of the mold, Masterpiece Convoy Last Shot Edition, has been released in Japan, and Alfes2000 has shared a gallery (part 2 here) with the fandom at large. There are very few differences to earlier releases of the mold - the only changes documented so far are a sticker on the front of the box, the sound stage which is thought to give the identity of the next Masterpiece, and a remolded panel on the back which reads last shot (as documented here).

Alfes2000 has shared another gallery of a recently released Japanese Transformer - this time out it is the Decepticon demolitions team, Rumble and Frenzy. The twin Decepticons come in a two pack - as opposed to the single pack Scout Class releases planned for the US - and now turn into tanks rather than cassettes. They still feature their piledrivers, though, and have plenty of clip system weapon rails for even more firepower. Check out the full gallery by clicking on the link above, and join in the discussion on our 2005 Boards by clicking the discuss button.
And yes, red Rumble fans, Takara-Tomy's release does indeed make Rumble the red one. |

Amazon and E-Hobby have both updated their product pages for the upcoming Movie Universe Dual Model Kit Optimus Prime and Bumblebee with images showing off the resin hardcopy prototypes of the kits. Both are as expected supremely detailed and incredibly poseable with optional attachment parts (Optimus' swords are removeable and I assume Bumblebee's arm cannon will be interchangeable too - and check out Optimus' hands, he has articulated fingers!)
Check out the E-Hobby listings for Optimus here and Bumblebee here, and the Amazon Japan listing for Optimus here and Bumblebee here. |

2005 Boards member Masabon has shared with us some scans of the Transformers pages from this month's edition of Figure King! To no small surprise it is a Dark of the Moon (aka Darkside Moon in Japan) heavy issue, with Sentinel Prime, Optimus Prime (Voyager with Trailer) and Bumblebee getting full page spreads, plus call outs detailing the various Mech Tech features each toy comes with. There's also some small callouts of Ratchet and Ironhide's new toys.
Also covered in this issue is a page on the Dual Model Kit Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, showing artwork concepts of the skeletons underneath the toys which seem pretty true to the on-screen look of the Protoform Optimus Prime seen in the 2007 movie. Last but not least there is a page showing some comparisons between the Takara-Tomy Transformers United toys and their Generations / Reveal the Shield counterparts. This page also has some new images of the Kabaya Gaia Cross set. Read on to check out all of the images. |

Believe it or not Ken Jeong is a Doctor. Yep, it’s true. But he is famous for treating us with the best medicine in the world… “Laughter”. If you have enjoyed Hangover, then you know who this guy is. (Well actually you can’t take the image off your mind can you? It’s burned to your eyes).
Well, Ken Jeong is in the next Michael Bay Transformers Movie; Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Recently he spoke a little bit about his experience on the Transformers 3 set with CraveOnline. CraveOnline: Do you get a cool role in Transformers 3? Ken Jeong: Yeah, it’s a small role in Transformers but yeah. I had an out of body experience working on that one because I just couldn’t believe I was [there]. Still, that was not a thing where oh, I’m going to be a part of a blockbuster franchise like Transformers 3 or even now Hangover 2 for that matter. So I can’t believe I’m a part of these franchises in any way. It was amazing. Michael Bay is brilliant and it’ll blow your mind. CraveOnline: I’ve been on Michael Bay sets including Transformers 1. He keeps things so riled up, I see how it can be misconstrued, but it’s high energy. Ken Jeong: He doesn’t like things to wait and neither do I. You want to keep moving, you want to keep the pace, you want to keep the energy. That I respond to because Todd’s like that too. Because you want that comedic energy to stay fresh. Especially on movies when there’s huge budgets and huge effects, you worry about spontaneity being lost. Yeah, Michael Bay just kept everything going. Read the rest of the interview at Crave. |

Reports are coming in of a Transformers: Dark of the Moon trailer (previously unseen) being played before Zack Snyder’s Suckerpunch. Customizer frenzy_rumble informed us via News Tip that there is a reporting of a trailer running in certain theaters.
We are yet to confirm this information, till then treat it as a rumor only. Theaters may or may not play the trailer if we take previous situations (Announcement Trailer with Narnia) into account. If TFW2005 Members are going out to see the movie released today, let us in on whether the new trailer is live or not. Thanks and Have Fun! |

Great news! Over on the IDW comics forums, IDW editor Andy Schmidt teased at some big events looming in the future of the Transformers comics that have begun with Transformers Infestation and will continue to build - including, he confirms, in two issues of the ongoing series written by James Roberts!
The series does lead into CHAOS, and so do James Robert's two issues of the ongoing series coming up (did I just say that? WHAT?). yeah, just kidding. NOT. James IS writing TRANSFORMERS #s 22 and 23. Who says I don't listen? You may remember James Roberts as part of the team with Nick Roche who brought us The Last Stand of the Wreckers, five issues of the very best Transformers action around. With James writing the ongoing and promises of something big about to pay off in the next few months, the future is bright for Transformers in print! Read the original discussion thread on the IDW forums here. |

To reward stockholders at their annual shareholder meetings, Hasbro gave out RPMs Optimus Prime as a shareholder gift. Even though I am a Hasbro shareholder myself, I was not able to attend the meetings or even know if I qualify to begin with. It has a exclusive deco similar to the TakaraTomy Shareholder Gift as seen below with Choro Q trucks. Click above to view all images and to keep on reading the review. |

First of all, that is not the name, it’s not called Transformers: Dark of the Moon 3D (well, not yet anyway!).
Director Michal Bay spoke to USAToday regarding movies and 3D. It’s a hype some of us love while others tend to stay away. "The short answer is we did too much with technology that wasn't ready for prime time," says director Michael Bay, whose Transformers: Dark of the Moon was shot digitally, in 3-D and on traditional 35mm film. "Studios are turning everything they can into 3-D without considering whether it should be done at all," he says. "We're already wearing the experience out." Continue reading to findout what he said regarding Transformers 3 in 3D. Click here to read the rest of the article at USA Today. |
