Robotkingdom has posted the latest details for MP 10 Masterpiece Convoy Version 2:
MP-10 comes with a human figure that can fit into the driver sit. It is a new mold, smaller figure/trailer than MP-04, but more Japan animate look! Could this new Masterpiece figure be in-scale with Human Alliance figures? Who could the driver be? Spike? Ginrai? Peter Cullen? Is there possibly a currently unrevealed gimmick for MP Convoy V2? |

With a new Transformers movie comes a new soundtrack score, and Dark of the Moon is no different. Coming 7 June 2011 is the Transformers Dark of the Moon Album, featuring songs from and inspired by Transformers Dark of the Moon. Also coming on 7 June 2011 is the Transformers Dark of the Moon Score, featuring the background music from Steve Jablonsky's score for many of the film's key scenes. Amazon is selling both at $16.69. No word on what the tracklists are yet, though, but this is confirmation that yes, the soundtrack CDs to accompany the film are in the works.

I’m sure almost all of you supported (and continue supporting) for the Petition to continue the Original Transformers Comic Book Series with Transformers Issue #81.
Newsarama published an article thanking the fans who are hard at work trying to bring back the series. “The closest thing to a public acknowledgement on the petition thus far from IDW was publisher and editor-in-chief Chris Ryall tweeting last week, “If you can get the petition to 10,000 signatures/pre-orders, I'll give you an exclusive cover for issue 81 ...” in response to a Twitter account associated with the fan movement. Sale figure-indexing site The Comics Chronicles reports that in January 2011, IDW’s Transformers #15 sold an estimated 10,159 copies.” “I think there’s lots of great stuff in G2, and I certainly don’t want to disregard it completely (I think there’s material there that could easily fold into whatever we might do with a G1 continuation), but given a straight choice, I’d opt for G1 #81 over G2 #13, just because that original run had a defining, epochal quality to it that just inspires me to see if it can be pushed to another level,” [Simon] Furman wrote. We've received reports that the Dark of the Moon Leader Class has leaked out ahead of the May 15 street date. 2005 Boards member unmc2001 picked up Sentinel Prime at a Target store in Sun Prairie WI near Madison Wisconsin. We've also had reports of a confirmed purchase of both Sentinel Prime and Leader Class Bumblebee in Illinois - with picture proof from Deceptigtar! This purchase was also made from a Target, in Chicago this time.
As these are ahead of their street date they might be sitting in many store's back rooms waiting for release - and if you see them there's no guarantee you'll be able to buy them! But if you do share the happy news in our Transformers Sightings forum. |

Comic Book Resources got a chance to interview IDW Lead Editor Andy Schmidt and get an exclusive look at the upcoming IDW series Transformers: Chaos (actually it’s more of a continuation + tie-in kind of a story).
"Chaos" will represent the convergence of the ongoing series with the more galactic events of "Infestation" and "Heart of Darkness" -- both written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning -- but readers who have only been following the core book will not have to play catch-up. "The ongoing series has been taking place for the most part on Earth, while Dan and Andy's two series are really going on in outer space. With 'Transformers' #20 and 'Heart of Darkness' #4, we've got one scene that overlaps both books, as they come out in the same month. So readers who have followed one series but not the other are perfectly fine going into the 'Chaos' event. And all is made clear. From that point, everything 'Transformers' is in the bi-weekly ongoing series from July all the way through December -- I told you big stuff is happening!" You can read more at CBR. |

The Transformers Collectors Club has released a pair of new images. The first is a new look at Generation 2 Ramjet in jet mode. The new image (down at the time of writing?) gives a better look at what the jet mode will look like but don't judge it too quickly - the Collector's Club tweeted the following:
Yeah, the lighting is a little dull on the alt pic. We rushed to get that up. Def sharper than that... The second is an amended robot mode image of Transtech Cheetor. Do you see the improvement to the face? Cheetor's lost the black paint around his eyes, giving him an altogether more pleasing look. Preorders for both are expected to go up at some point in the coming days. |

Friend and sponsor of TFW2005 Red leader of Kapow Toys has shared with us listings for the upcoming cases of Dark of the Moon Walmart and Target store exclusives. These listings bring us one extremely pleasing new toy in the shape of a Hunt for the Decepticons Terradive remold named Space Case! The mysterious semi-clear Bumblebee and Arcee with Cybertronian symbols are also a part of this Target Exclusive assortment along with a similar styled redeco of Jazz. Other revelations include the companion to the Target Exclusive Voyager Starscream - a Voyager Ratchet, described as a Revenge of the Fallen recolor (so that's where the 2007 Movie Voyager recolor got to...)
A big revelation though is that the Deluxe Class Dark of the Moon Optimus Prime will be a Wal Mart Exclusive. He'll be shipped in solid cases of 8, so he'll be plentiful at stores, but this is the first time a new mold has been store exclusive and not been part of a previous assortment of figures that was cancelled. Check out the full listings below. We also have some low resolution images of all the new exclusives, liberated from the Excel spreadsheet by 2005 Boards member Locustreign! Target Exclusive Deluxe Case - 2 of each - July 17th 1) Jazz with Cybertronian Tattoos ( black redeco ) 2) Arcee with Cybertronian Tattoos 3) Bumblebee with Cybertronian Tattoos 4) Space Case ( Terradive with new Headsculpt) Target Exclusive Voyager Case 1 - June 23rd 1) Starscream - ROTF Redeco 2) Ratchet - ROTF Redeco Wal-Mart Deluxe Solid Case x 8 - June 23rd 1) Deluxe Optimus Prime Wal-Mart Deluxe Case June 23rd 1) Bumblebee - Movie 1 Redeco x 5 2) Sideswipe - Nascar redeco x 3 Wal-Mart Exclusive Legends Three Pack - Bumblebee VS Soundwave with bonus Rodimus |

Transformers Generations 2011 Volume 1 has been released in Japan! The new book includes a whole host of Japanese Transformers Toyline articles, including:
Dark of the Moon Wave 1 Preview Revenge of the Fallen Retrospective Transformers United Introduction Animated Decepticon Illustration Gallery / Character List Part 2 Generation 1 Japanese catalogues Latest Kabaya items As well as a trio of interviews, one with Hideaki Yoke and Koujin Ono regarding the Transformers Hall of Fame, one regarding Transformers United & Generations, and one with the Kabaya staff. There's also some very cool ancilliary material. As posted by Guido Guidi on his Deviant Art Account yesterday, the book contains the complete Simon Furman / Guido Guidi Transformers Unite for the Universe story. The first four chapters were released with the Movie Masterpiece series but are presented here in unabridged form - the fifth and final, concluding chapter is also included in this book to wrap up the story. This article is accompanied by a look at the canceled Unite for the Universe Optimus Prime - a Movie Voyager Optimus Prime with add-on Jetfire armor for his power up mode. Last but not least is the image you can see to the left of this story, showing a Transformers Animated face-off - Optimus Prime VS Motormaster, and Sari VS Shattered Glass Sari, as designed by Derrick J Wyatt himself! Shattered Glass Sari might possibly be a look at the unmade Transformers Animated Season 4, which would have included a Shattered Glass episode - would this Sari have been a part of it? Maybe not, but it's still cool to see this "what if Sari was evil?" concept. |

Time for something a bit different. The Warner Archives have been releasing the classic Hanna-Barbera shows we all grew up with in the 80s, and amongst them, the Challenge of the GoBots! It's being released as a "manufacture on demand" according to TVShowsonDVD, and sold direct through the WBShop website. It's currently being set for a May release. No word on if it is the whole show or just a single season boxed set, but for those of us who remember the great 80s rival to Transformers in the early days, here's a chance to relive some of those good old Saturday morning memories.

iGear have updated their Facebook page with a teaser image of one of their upcoming partner products. This one is the MGT-6 Night-Bird, based on the robo-ninja Nightbird from the Generation 1 episode "Enter the Nightbird". iGear's Night-Bird is a non-transforming piece with what appears to be a decent level of articulation, and very small accessories in the form of sais, shurikans and a chain. Her chest is also removable - not like that! - to expose the mechanics inside. Overall, this appears to be a very well done and show-acurate version of Nightbird.
What might be also of interest is the reference number. MGT was also used for the Arcee "Delicate Warrior". So who are MGT-2 through 5? One might be the Firestar we saw once before, but who are the other three? Evidently there's something in store - or a deliberate decision to skip a few numbers to create a demand! |

We are less than a day away from the Transformers: Dark of the Moon Trailer launch (somewhere around 19 hours away by the time this news post went up). Scheduled to launch at 4PM Pacific Time on 28/04/2011.
Paramount Official Transformers Website had gone through an update. To see it you need to empty your Browser cache, otherwise you’ll still see the old black site. With the latest update you’ll also find links to order the Score and Soundtrack for Transformers 3. Speaking of which, rumors say that we’ll see Linkin Park’s DOTM Iridescent Music Video on May 17th. It is not confirmed yet. We are yet to receive the Exclusive Image #4 by Apple Trailers. According to Nelson; Administrator of Michael Bay Official Website, the image will be available at 9AM Pacific Time. TFW2005 will bring you the Transformers: Dark of the Moon Trailer on the very moment it hits the Internet. So be ready to discuss it with your fellow members. |
