Vehicle Modes of Transformers Dark of the Moon Bumblebee and Sideswipe (Chevrolet Camaro and Stingray Convertible respectively) appeared at Royal Oak, Mich for a charity event.

...Once again, Sideswipe is an evolution of Corvette's Stingray concept. This time it's a convertible/speedster. But designers didn't stop there as Sideswipe also sports completely new headlights and a slightly revised front fascia to go with them..."

Botcon have announced their eighth guest! Guest number 8 is Michael McConnohie, the voice of classic Generation 1 Autobots Tracks and Cosmos, plus Robots in Disguise Autobots Hot Shot and Ironhide. He is also the English voice of two of my favorite anime villains of all time, Big O's Schwarzwald and Code Geass' Emperor Charles zi Britannia. Michael joins the growing list of veteran Generation 1 voice actors to attend Botcon 2011 - so make sure you pack those Shout! Factory Generation 1 series DVD sets because this Botcon is ideal for getting them signed!

Here is an interesting little news nugget for you. IDW Publishing and Andy Schmidt, formerly the editor of GI Joe and Transformers, have parted ways. This is because according to reports, Hasbro have snapped up Andy Schmidt to work for them directly. There's no word on what he will be doing for Hasbro. IDW are now in the unenviable position of finding a senior editor to fill Andy's shoes. Whoever takes over, we wish you luck on looking after the comics of our favorite franchises - and we also wish Andy Schmidt luck in his new role with Hasbro.

This news comes to you by way of Bleeding Cool News.

Toys R Us Japan has updated with their official product listing for the upcoming Japan only release, Dark of the Moon Vortex. Vortex is a distinctly Classics looking toy, with very little in the way of Movie style aesthetics to him, making his MechTech weapon look rather out of place. Regardless, he is a rather good looking toy with a nice clean design to him which will look great on any shelf. Click on the link above to check out the images.

We found out about them this morning for the first time, and now we have our first images and reviews - from the one and only Ben Yee of BWTF who introduced so many of us, myself included, to the online Transformers fandom in the days of Beast Wars. Today, Ben reviews the brand new, only just announced Dark of the Moon Cyberverse Legion Roadbuster and Starscream Redeco. Roadbuster completes the team of the three Wreckers in the Cyberverse scale, and features his heavily armed "Stealth Force" style vehicle mode. The Starscream redeco is extremely cool - it is the same mold included in the Orbital Assault Carrier set, but where that version is based on Starscream's tattooed look from Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon, this toy utilizes the mold to give us a Legion Class Starscream in his original 2007 Transformers deco, without tattoos. Check out images of both and reviews by clicking on the links above.

Kicking off this newest section of the TFW2005 Galleries with me tonight is SydneyY, who has done some excellent work with Human Alliance Basic Backfire with Spike Witwicky, and MechTech Deluxe Autobot Roadbuster. On my side, I have put up a gallery of the MechTech Voyager Autobot Ironhide. All three showcase all that is awesome about these new toys, and the promise that comes with a new assortment of Transformers toys. Check out the galleries by clicking on the links below:

ACToys.net has shared a small gallery of the upcoming Dark of the Moon Cyberverse Optimus Prime recolor. This recolored Optimus Prime draws inspiration from his Transformers Prime deco, and includes the twin buster guns and twin swords that Movie Optimus Prime uses heavily in his first two big screen outings. All in all, it is looking like this figure is great both as a redeco, and as accessories for the first Cyberverse Optimus Prime - by combining both sets of accessories, you will have the ultimate screen-accurate Movie Optimus Prime at pocket size.

The redeco Cyberverse Optimus Prime will be a part of the third assortment of Cyberverse Commanders alongside Decepticon Hatchet.

News out of the BotCon camp has revealed yet another guest to attend this year's convention in Pasadena. This time it is the voice of the Generation 1 Carly, Arlene Banas!

From the BotCon guest announcement posting:
ARLENE BANAS voiced Carly, who was the love interest of Spike Witwicky in the original G-1 Transformers series. In addition to Carly, she also voiced Allegra and Ynara on two additional episodes of the show.

This makes a total of 9 guests announced for this year's convention, 8 of which are G1 related, and 5 of which had some sort of involvement in the 1986 animated film which celebrates it's 25th anniversary this year.

A set of new officially licensed Transformers products for the 2010-2011-2012 Camaro has hit the automotive stores just in time for Transformers 3 Dark of the Moon. This time it a set of aluminum billet locking gas doors featuring the Autobot Symbol or the Transformers Logo.

While this is not super news on it's own, they are the first officially licensed Transformers items for the Camaro since the 2009 Transformers Package offered by GM. So Transformers branding on the Camaro is not done quite yet.

Will GM and Hasbro release a Bumblebee package for the upcoming ZL1, which has similar body styling to Transformers 3 Bumblebee already? Only time will tell!

To see a full list of all the new Transformers items, including 4 gas doors, and 2 hitch covers, plus some door sills, read the fully story!

We have received the word from IDW regarding the Trade Paperback’s of Transformers: Dark of the Moon Movie Prequels; Foundation & Rising Storm.

Both TPBs are to release this May 18th along with the final issue of Transformers: Foundation.

Just to recap the fan reaction towards both series…

TFW2005 Members were extremely pleased with the storytelling of John Barber, who connected all previous movie adaptation, prequel and sequel comics with one seamless narration. His efforts were complemented with Andrew Griffith’s art and Priscilla Tramontano’s coloring. Carlos Magno was the artist of Rising Storm. Brian Rood joined the team to do the covers along with Griffith.

Let’s see what IDW has to say about their Trade paperbacks… Continue reading to findout the news. Oh, BTW... The Trade Paperback covers are now different than what we saw previously.

In the last week we were counting down to the launch of Transformers Dark of the Moon's toyline, with more and more new toys found on shelves at stores early. But we got a lot of other good stuff last week, such as our first look at Masterpiece Convoy Version 2. That was quite a polarizing reveal, even if we knew he was going to be a new version of Optimus Prime for quite a while beforehand. It was still awesome to see the new version of the big guy, though. Meanwhile, Botcon announced a whole series of new guests as Botcon 2011 drew nearer, and Auto Assembly started to share videos of their own script reading events starting with the 2009 script reading.

Here's what else was new last week:
