2005 boards member bwheeler0018 has spotted and picked up Ultimate Optimus Prime at a Newbury Comics store in Massachusetts. We've seen signs announcing a a release date of July 1st, so perhaps we will see some more trickle into stores before then. Proof of purchase in the video below:

The Higekuma Toy Blog has posted detailed images of Jetwing Optimus Prime, a Japanese exclusive from the Transformers 3 Dark Of The Moon line. This figure was released in Australia last week and was also available to purchase this weekend at Tokyo Toy Show.

Jetwing Optimus Prime is the biggest of the Japanese exclusives for Dark Of The Moon so far. We've mirrored the detailed robot and truck mode images here, which you can check out after the jump!

Some more information reaches us from Masabon at the International Tokyo Toy Fair 2011. Confirmed here is the fate of Dark of the Moon Skywarp - he will be a Japanese market exclusive item. Repeat, Dark of the Moon Skywarp will only be released in Japan. Skywarp will be released in August this year.

Also on show at the Dark of the Moon display were the campaign toys, and some extremely cool displays of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee mimicking the classic "Car - Change - Change - Robot" graphics of the Generation 1 Transformers boxes. Read on to check them out - and give mad props to Masabon for sharing all this information with us.

As the International Tokyo Toy Show comes to a close, Masabon shares with us some last information about the Transformers Chronicle series. He was also able to obtain a clear picture of Megatron's box, proving what a gorgeous piece of artwork Takara-Tomy has put on the box - read on to check that out.

On to the information that Masabon has learned from speaking with Takara-Tomy staff.

>CONVOY has a part changing some colors.
>DX OPTIMUS was for HASBRO with different coloring (confirmed, he's out now at Wal-Mart - SF)
>The trailer in the Optimus Prime set is a new piece created for Transformers Chronicle by Tomy.
>The trailer connects with CONVOY and DX OPTIMUS.
>G1 MEGATRON reproduces the Japanese color scheme of 25 years ago.
>MOVIE MEGATRON is colored differently to the one now on sale.

As an added bonus, read on and check out a video of the last day of the Tokyo Toy Show.

If you are a Microsoft Windows 7 User then you can download this Transformers: Dark of the Moon Theme for your PC via Microsoft Official Website.

In terms of a Windows Theme, the Transformers 3 Theme is pretty disappointing. We only get 10 Desktop Wallpapers. No Unique Sound Effects, No Unique Screensaver, No Unique Color Scheme… just a set of Wallpapers.

You can download the Theme here.

If the Transformers Toys you buy comes with another label titled “Funskool”, you are one of the countries getting toys from Funskool, India; a toy company manufacturing Transformers, G. I. Joe, Nerf etc. toys on behalf of Hasbro.

Although, the street date of the Transformers: Dark of the Moon toys was on May 16th, some of our members informed us that their countries are yet to see the toys on stores. TFW2005 contacted Funskool in India to find out more. We were told that the latest shipment (DOTM Wave 1) was issued to the Indian Subcontinent Countries last Wednesday (June 15th) and sure enough we saw the stores stocking the toys yesterday.

Let's turn that frown upside down! Head to your nearest toy store selling Transformers… Dark of the Moon toys are there for you!

Back when the Target exclusive Starscream was first revealed, something that attracted an understandable amount of fan criticism was the cockpit - specifically how the cockpit was painted instead of clear plastic like on the original. Well, your wish is now granted - because a variant has just been spotted that gives clear plastic for the cockpit instead of red. Check out the picture at right - the variant is to the left, the initial version to the right.

Many thanks to Blindmouse of the Allspark for providing this information.

A quick bit of news for the Henkei fans next. Henkei Hot Rodimus - a highly in demand item even before the Protector armor was released - has been announced for a new run in September 2011. Like Hound and others before him, this is not a new release but a fresh run on the toy in case you missed out on him previously. Check out our sponsors for preorders of this piece - if you do not own one already you might kick yourself later given the usual aftermarket value of this toy!

A mysterious image has made its way to us - you can see it at left. All it says is "Coming Soon - Firemaster - Keep Animation Alive". The cryptic message refers to Transformers Animated, and the silhouette is a trace of the image of Animated Powermaster Optimus Prime as shown in the Allspark Almanac. According to 2005 Boards member Encline this may or may not be the same group responsible for the similar teaser of an Animated Menasor upgrade kit. Watch this space for more information as it becomes available.

During Tokyo Toy Show, part of the package for DA28 DX Optimus Prime, which we now know as Striker Optimus Prime, was inadvertently photographed. The truck mode image is reminiscent of Optimus' Stealth Force mode from the recently released game and presumably seen in the movie. Up until now a mainline transforming Optimus Prime figure with stealth mode(as in one with a robot mode) has been absent. Could this have been one of the figures present at Botcon 2011 but withheld from being shown?

There's more to this case. Amiblo mentioned in one of their reports, that DA28 Striker Optimus Prime is a triple changer product. We take it this takes into account the stealth mode, possibly formed by the new gun and shield. An image of the prototype has been shown by way of CYBERGUNDAM BLOG.

This figure, as far as we know, has not been labeled as a Japanese exclusive, yet. With that said, is Striker Optimus Prime a figure you would like to see stateside? It is a retooled leader class figure. Like Jetwing Optimus Prime, it uses a retooled Revenge Of The Fallen Leader Optimus Prime as a base, however this one seems to retain the swords. This is also the 1st figure to feature the blaster that Prime is often seen wielding in the various movie posters/ads within recent months, and only one to come with a shield.
