It’s wee morning hours in Russia. As we speak, preparations are taking place for the 33rd Moscow International Film Festival. Something special is happening this year.

This is it folks… Transformers: Dark of the Moon Premiere is happening today at the Pushkinsky Cinema Theater in Moscow.

Michael Bay will be in attendance for the show accompanied Shia LaBeouf, Patrick Dempsey, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Malkovich, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

The special premiere also marks the first time in festival history that an American film with an American cast has opened the festival. It also marks the first world premiere for a film at the Russian event.

Stay tuned for the Images and Videos from the event. Many Entertainment Websites such as MTV are there to cover the event. If you are there at the event, take photos and share them with your fellow members at the thread linking to this news post.

Rest of the world will have to wait till 28th/29th June to enjoy the movie but that's not far away.

TFW2005 had the pleasure of covering Transformers Movie News with the help from all of you; our dear members. We had pretty memorable moment such as revealing the very first images from the 1st movie to the reveal of third movie title. We say “Thank You!”

Speaking of which… Take a moment to say Thanks to the Michael Bay Transformers Live Action Movie Trilogy at the Appreciation Thread.

With less than a week to go before launch, the Transformers Dark of the Moon hype machine is in full motion. This billboard - which has elements lifted above its surface for a 3D effect - has gone up along the westbound M4 Motorway in London UK. It's a very cool - and huge - bit of advertising for Dark of the Moon. Check it out and enjoy!

Some new information has circulated from Japanese retailers regarding various new items coming from Takara-Tomy. Four more Alternity releases are confirmed from August through December - all four molds are getting new versions, not just the two reported previously. The four will be:

Nissan GTR / Dai Atlas - August
Nissan Fairlady Z / Galvatron - September
Mitsuoka Orochi / Banzai Tron - November
Suzuki Swift / Goldbug - December

No confirmation yet as to whether these will be straight up recolors, or if they will feature new heads. But what an interesting selection of characters - Alternity Galvatron presents the terrifying concept, story-wise, of what would happen if you powered up an already obscenely powerful Megatron?

Also confirmed first of all are reports of a black version of Masterpiece Rodimus Convoy, and reissues of Soundblaster and Twincast. Also listed are a new release for Disney Label Micky Mouse, and an Xmas edition Mickey Mouse. The black version of Jetwing Optimus Prime is also evidently still on the cards and slated for an October release.

This information comes to you via Meister79 of the Allspark.

New third party group Maketoy (whose work was previously confused with that of Fansproject) have launched a website to show off their unofficial custom Transformers projects. On the website are new color images of their not-Powerglide and not-Seaspray, and some concepts for their Generation 2 Laser Optimus Prime upgrade. But most interesting of all is a sketch at the bottom of the page, indicating we might have an alternative to the $100 a piece TFC Toys Hercules Devastator in the works...

MSN TV has updated their Transformers Prime episode guide with a summary of episode 19 of Transformers Prime, Rock Bottom:

The Autobots, Jack and Miko find themselves trapped inside a cave.

I'm sure the drama of the episode will come when they discover, they're not alone in that cave, but that's speculation on my part.

"I'm really proud we are doing a premiere here: I think it's a wonderful world stage," director Michael Bay told reporters in Moscow, where a crowd of fans waiting for autographs outside one of the city's main hotels attested to the Russian film audience's growing appetite for Hollywood movies.

"I grew up during the Cold War. My grandfather, who is from Russia, said I would never make it into the film business... That's partly why I'm here," Bay said.

Actor Shia LaBoeuf said "Dark of the Moon" -- whose action plays out against the backdrop of the U.S.-Russian space race -- was the best yet in the saga.

"The third movie is the best one. It's the strongest script we've ever had, it's the best character development, it's paced well, it's shot incredibly," LaBoeuf, who starred in all three movies, told Reuters.

"Technologically, it's the most advanced, just the best special effects we've ever devised!"

More Images, Information and Videos incoming. Stay Tuned With TFW2005!

Update - More shots added at 4:21 PM EST!

The latest edition of Hobby Japan includes a small article on Revoltech Optimus Prime. The Hobby Japan coverage shows a fully painted version of the Sci-Fi Revoltech Prime, which looks like it gets a very nice and detailed paintjob. The accessory picture from the other night is also repeated but fully painted this time - and there is an element of fun, with a demonstration of how some of the accessories can attach to the shoulders as well as the arms.
