Remember the mini-Sharkticons we saw a few days ago? Robot Kingdom have updated their Facebook page with more information on these unofficial non-transforming sharks. They're by a new third party group called Dr Wu, and they are going to be called "Shark Clones".
Here's the fun part though. The packaging is also transformable! It transforms from a tall box into a cardboard Sharkticon! Pretty cool as far as packaging goes, and a nice touch if I do say so myself. Stay tuned for more information on this product, including pricing and availability. |

Our Transformers Feedback forum provides us with yet another news item: in-hand photos of some Japanese Happy Meal toys made to promote the widely-successful Transformers: Dark of the Moon movie.
While these figures lack articulation, they are fully transformable figures and even include label sheets for additional details. They are described as a cross between Gravity Bots and Activators due to the type of trigger mechanism to transform as well as the manner in which the toys change from car to robot. Check out the images after the jump! |

Multi-changing transformers are often times very popular with fans, and Hasbro is offering a quadruple changer from the character transformation of Anakin Skywalker to Darth Vader in the Star Wars Transformers Crossovers line! Each character sports an alt mode spaceship from their allegiance, with Skywalker's Jet Mech and Darth Vader's Star Destroyer.
Our update today comes with our first in-hand photos of this toy, as well as a review of this toy. Is this a figure you're looking forward to? Check out the review posted in our Transformers Feedback forum and be sure to discuss your thoughts after viewing the images after the jump! |

Thanks to a combination of HKTF and an auction over on eBay, we now have some in-hand images of the two upcoming redecos for the Dark of the Moon line. There are a few brief images of the upcoming redeco of the DOTM Voyager Ironhide mold in vehicle mode, showing off the heavily G1-inspired color scheme; as well as a vast gallery of the upcoming Walmart-exclusive Deluxe Optimus Prime redeco, including size comparisons with War For Cybertron Optimus Prime and a knock-off of the Classics Optimus Prime mold. Unlike the previous release of the mold, this version does not come with the Deluxe MechTech weapon but instead comes with a repaint of the weapon that came with the initial Voyager DOTM Optimus Prime.

A bit of an unexpected addition to the last Dengeki Magazine update we posted a few days ago. Thanks to SydneyY and Autobase Aichi as it has been also announced in the latest issue of Dengeki Hobby that there will be a limited Lucky Draw of the Dual Model Kit Optimus Prime. The Lucky Draw is based upon the Uniqlo design that was previously seen and assumed to be a one-off store display color scheme. It comes unassembled and does not come with the shop logo stickers or logos.
There will only be one made and given away via the Lucky Draw promotion. |

Transformers Generations 2011 Volume 2 featured a lot of cool stuff, including a comic penned by Simon Furman and featuring art by Guido Guidi. This retro comic is done in the style of the old Marvel comics and features a crossover of characters from the Headmasters era alongside characters from the United and Henkei toy lines.
A translation of the comic has been done by The Allspark, with full creative input from Simon Furman and Guido Guidi - in effect this is an official translation and an excellent opportunity to read this short story. Some notes are also attached to the translation which are worh taking a look through, especially concerning Thunderwing (based on his Generations toy, not released in Japan & not planned for release in Japan) and Artfire (a new design based on a recolored Classics / Henkei Inferno with a Power Core Combiner Mini-Con as his Targetmaster, not planned for release by Takara-Tomy). Click here to check out the translated comic over at the Allspark. Great job guys, my hat's off to you! |

The Chaos Bringer has arrived... to Amazon.com!
In a bit of surprise news for today, the 25th Anniversary (of the 1986 Movie) Unicron has been put up on Amazon.com, and in stock as of now. The toy is a repaint of the 2010 TakaraTomy release, complete with the more G1-accurate head and a different color scheme as you could see in the in-hand shots from the other day. Will you be purchasing this highly awaited domestic release? Sound off in the thread! |

It's been a while, but long time site supporter and sponsor StylinOnline.com has sent us a note to let us know that they have 2 new Transformers tees in stock and available for purchase right now.
The first is the Transformers How I Roll T Shirt which features G1 Optimus Prime, Jazz, and Bumblebee in their classic form, with the phrase "That's How I Roll" on it. Second, they have a play on the "Robots In Disguise" theme, with a Decepticon symbol sporting a mustache. That tee is for the ladies, it's the Transformers Decepticon Disguise Baby Tee. So, check those out if you are looking for new Transformers gear. You can also check out their entire selection for properties including:...over at Stylin Online. |

A very cool item came out from Japan just two days ago, and TFW2005.com member Protoman provides us with a video review of this sound stage (similar to the Hasbro Masterpiece DVD Edition Masterpiece Optimus Prime) that is to go with Masterpiece MP-09 Rodimus Convoy.
Protoman includes some subtitles to the voices used and also provides a unique comparison with the sound stage to a rare piece in his collection - the vinyl Rodimus Convoy pull string toy that came out in 1986! What is interesting is the closeness with both voices used for each piece. Check out the video below, and be sure to share your thoughts after the jump! |

2005 boards member catz has shared with us information on the release window and case assortments of the first wave of Transformers Prime toys. These first edition packaged figures are due to launch in November 2011, and the assortment breakdown in each case is as follows:
Wave 1 Deluxe: 4 x Bumblebee 2 x Arcee 2 x Starscream Wave 1 Voyager: 3 x Optimus 1 x Bulkhead Prime Entertainment Pack: 2 units / case The Entertainment Pack consists of Deluxe versions of Optimus Prime, Megatron, and PVC versions of the three human children. From these listings it looks like Bulkhead is the really hard to find one from this first tranche of figures. Many thanks to catz for passing this information along to us! |

The first photos, video and info for the Transformers Edition 2012 Camaro have surfaced via the Camaro5 Forum and Faces Of GM.
"When this car shows up in your review mirror, you’ll definitely do a double take, and then some! Bold yellow paint with pumped up black stripes, a high-wing rear spoiler and black-on-black wheels… this car looks like Bumblebee, straight from the set of Transformers: Dark of the Moon. It’s enough to make Sam Witwicky‘s heart beat fast. It’s the little details — like Cybertronian symbols spelling “Transformers” on the spoiler, Autobot logos on the wheel caps and front quarter panel and an awesome interior with black leather seats and bright yellow stitching — that give this Chevrolet extra attitude." Toy World Hong Kong has shared some scans from the September 2011 edition of Figure King. It's a movie heavy edition, focusing largely on upcoming Japanese releases which match up well to what has just been released in the US - notably, very few repaints are featured among the upcoming releases, it is mostly all the "new" toolings from the US line.
There is also a very nice page spread dedicated to Masterpiece MP-10 Convoy Version 2, which demonstrates a great feature of the included Spike figure - he appears to be about the right size to sit in Generation 1 Transformers! Read on to check out the scans. |

Million Hero Publishing have updated their page for their Transformers Generations 2011 Volume 2 mail away incentive, United Stepper, with a couple more images. The first of the two images shows the back of the box, which is your standard (and very nice) United box back, showing an "action scene photo" of the character with their bio and tech specs. The keen eyed can probably make out the tech specs, which are the same as the Generation 1 Stepper's tech specs.
The second image, which you can see at left, is the aforementioned action scene photo, at higher resolution and in color. It's a pretty cool scene that shows off both Stepper's guns, and some nice photoshopped laser effects in the style of the good old fashioned Japanese Generation 1 toy box art photos. Click on the link above to check out both images and everything else Million Hero have released on this exciting Classics series exclusive coming this December. |
