If you're like me, then you're impatient. You're either waiting for a package to hit your doorstep or anxiously awaiting funds to be transfered to an account. But, thanks to 2005 Board member, Cooksux, those of us with patience problems can have a temporary respite. Take a look at this pictorial review he has shared with us of the new Fansproject CA-04 Stormbomb figure, which is hitting mailboxes now.
Enjoy the pictures then tell us what you think of the figure in the feedback thread! |

Don't get too excited folks, this isn't another entry into the Dual Model Kit range. We have no info and images to share of the upcoming Starscream model, which will be sold in both Movie 1 and Movie 2 versions. The kit is a 1/144 representation of the F-22 Raptor (incorrectly listed over at Rakuten as F-15s) and comes with a stand to display the completed model on.

Here is something we thought was cool - in the Philippines, there are some packaging variants on Deluxe Transformers - they are packaged in robot mode! Could this variant packaging be setting a trend for the rest of the world like robot mode packaging for Voyagers, where Asian markets first debutted robot mode packaging as early as Transformers Animated before it really caught on with the latter waves of Revenge of the Fallen and Hunt for the Decepticons Voyagers. Could history be about to repeat itself?
Also revealed here by bny888 is a special value two pack of Optimus Prime and Megatron Voyagers including a bonus mug - it's the same packaging of the individual Voyagers, but they are mounted in a cardboard sleeve. It looks rather cool, with the logo and faction symbols on the front of the outer sleeve. Last but not least are some Transformers themed "Phlat Balls", balls that "transform" into frisbees by flattening them and revert to their original form when thrown. These Transformers edition ones come in yellow and black for Bumblebee and red and blue for Optimus. |

Reprolabels has updated their Facebook page with an upcoming label set for the TFC Toys Exgraver toy. This label set homages another certain similar-looking transforming construction vehicle. The anticipation from many fans continues to grow as we continue to report of the news of these figures from TFC Toys, and this anticipated label set will only continue to fuel this.
Also to note, this label set's concept and original design is created by long-time Radicon, sodawilly. The official Botcon Twitter has been busy, sending out tweat after tweat on the 2012 set. The short version is that the mockups for the set are done and looking very good in the opinion of Fun Publications, that three of the toys in the set are seeing their first updates ever, and that for two, they have drawn on the "distant" past.
Plenty of material here to speculate on! What does it all mean? Two things we can tell you is that it's not Transformers Animated themed, and it's not Trailbreaker, Gears or Brawn - FunPub feels they are more deserving of the Hasbro Classics treatment, but that what they have in store is equally awesome! Last but by no means least, I'm sure a few of you are asking "well great, but where and when is Botcon 2012 being held?" Gogdog and Seth Buzzard asked the question and got the following reply: Oh, no, as SOON as we get everything finalized with the PTB and locked up we will announce. NOBODY wants the locale and date announced more than us. We are working on it every day... LOTS of factors involved. Read on to view the original text of all the tweats involved! |

TFC Toys via the weibo account of Jeffry Zhong (requires registration) have given us a leg up on the progress of their Hercules custom project with this new image of Structor in leg mode. This very rough looking prototype gives a nice clear view of what the leg mode looks like, including our clearest indication yet of how the whole thing fits together. Notice the pivot in the middle for lateral ankle movement, and the new design for how the robot arms apparently tuck in.

Crazy Devy have unveiled their latest add-on kit, this one for Predaking. This add-on kit is intended to give Razorclaw's lion head a bigger mane in combined mode, a new arm connector for Divebomb / Razorclaw to even up the arm lengths, and an extension to make the barrel of Predaking's main gun longer - much longer - 81mm long in fact. The set is priced at $19.95, and is set to release in early October.

September 8th, 2001 - This was the American debut of Robots in Disguise - the US dub of Japan's Car Robots series from the year before. And today marks 10 YEARS since that happened, to the day.
This series has been ignored, forgotten, and tossed to the side by the powers that be, but there are still fans of it, both the show and toys, out there. It was the transition between the Beast Era and the new Millennium, encompassing many things we take for granted today. Autobots and Decepticons for starters. Realistic vehicle modes. Repaints of old molds into new characters. The "reboot" of continuity, while keeping core elements. G1 redecos of toys with similar style. All while keeping the Beasts in play for a bit longer, to transition those late 90s kids to the return of the Autobots. There is a nice discussion of the series as a whole going on in relation to the 10 year anniversary here: R.I.D. 10th Anniversary - 2001-2011, feel free to join in and share your thoughts. TFW will be doing some more RID celebrating before the year is out, so stay tuned! Oh, and one more thing.... ![]() |
