Our friends at the Allspark report that the third season of Transformers Generation 1 - the series set in the far flung future of 2006 - is set to air on The Hub. The first post-1986 movie episode, Five Faces of Darkness Part 1, is set to air on 10 December, with a further airing on 15 December. Will more episodes, such as the creepy and awesome Dark Awakening, the Rodimus-defining Burden Hardest to Bear or the so-bad-its-good Carnage in C-Minor follow? Let's hope so!

We've received a further sneak-peak image from The Hub, this time showing off the official artwork / animation designs of the four members of the Rescue Bots team from Transformers Rescue Bots. The four bots - Blades, Boulder, Chase and Heatwave - will make their debut in a special preview of the show's first two episodes on 17 December (for those wondering - Optimus Prime is a cameo guest star appearance, rather than a regular cast member).

Peter Cullen & Frank Welker; the iconic voices of Optimus Prime and Megatron, sat down for an interview with MTV.
How have you guys been enjoying working together on the current season of Transformers: Prime? Cullen: I gotta say it’s just a wonderful pleasure to be able to see Frank again and to work with him. We’ve reincarnated our glory days of Transformers and picked up where we left off. And it’s a riot. Welker: Well, I will second that and working with Peter’s always a treat—we never quite know what’s going to happen from day to day, but it sure is great to see each other and reestablish old ties. You know, we have this rivalry of good and evil going back and it’s just fun to do battle with someone who you just like. [both laugh] Read the entire article at MTV. |

Slashfilm.com is reporting that Executive Producer Steven Spielberg recently had an in-depth interview with Entertainment Weekly in which he discussed many upcoming projects, as well as other franchises he's involved with. Among those mentioned was the possibility of Transformers 4 and Michael Bay returning as director. In the interview Steven Spielberg states, "I hope so, because I think he made the best of the three with this last one. I certainly can’t imagine anybody other than Michael being equipped to make another Transformers. He’s invented a genre and he’s got the secret formula." The statement goes hand in hand with one from Michael Bay from the opening of the Transformers Ride in Singapore; "How did I know someone’s going to ask me this question today? We’re talking about it, but there’s nothing right now. I’m going to do a tiny movie first, then we’ll talk about it, if I potentially do it."
Sounds like things are looking up for fans of the movie franchise. Click on the title to read more and discuss on the 2005 Boards! |

The buzz for the next Transformers movie is still going on. With the success of Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Hasbro’s rise to popularity with delivering good content to moviegoers and TV audience alike, it’s not too difficult to say we’ll see more Transformers Live Actions Movies in the future.
We are still tangled up in a web without knowing what’s exactly going on in the background when it comes to Transformers 4. One person says one thing while another contradicts it. On these recent articles by Slash Film and Entertainment Weekly, the question was asked if Steven Spielberg thought there would be another Michael Bay Transformers movie to which he said: "I hope so, because I think he made the best of the three with this last one. I certainly can’t imagine anybody other than Michael being equipped to make another Transformers. He’s invented a genre and he’s got the secret formula." And at the same time, Michael Bay was interviewed by Channel News Asia when he went to Singapore to open Transformers: The Ride. "How did I know someone’s going to ask me this question today? We’re talking about it, but there’s nothing right now. I’m going to do a tiny movie first, then we’ll talk about it, if I potentially do it." With Mr. Bay’s recent comment, we now know that Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner was telling the truth at the 3rd Quarter Earnings Call 2011 and at the Hasbro Investor Day 2011. |

BTS Toys have kindly sent us some more on their upcoming BTS-05A Tremor & Frequenzy set. These new images show off a prototype of the cassette warrior - which sports 17 points of articulation, enabling it to strike some pretty cool poses. In these images the hips also appear less wide than they appeared in the initial images.
Also shown in this set of images are the accessories - a pair of "batteries" / piledrivers. These feature spring-loaded rams, and can also transform into hand weapons which fit into any 5mm hand hole. Read on to check out all of the new images (including comparisons with the Generation 1 toy this was based on). BTS-05A set of Frequenzy and Tremor are currently up for preorder at Big Bad Toy Store. |

Newsarama have uploaded a preview of next week's Transformers Ongoing 31. The final issue of the ongoing series is almost a "distant finale" to all that has gone before - set many years after the climatic events of Chaos on a Cybertron at peace, a group of young Transformers - bearing the Generation 2 Autobot symbol no less - are being educated on the history of their world (read: a flashback of previous issues) by none other than Alpha Trion.
The ongoing series concludes next Wednesday! Be sure to check this issue out to see how the epilogue plays out. Then be sure to pick up the one-shot The Death of Optimus Prime later this month which sets the stage for two new ongoing Transformers series - More than Meets the Eye and Robots in Disguise. |

Website Relax.com has updated their site with an extensive gallery from today's opening of Transformers The Ride in Universal Studios Singapore. There is over 70 images for you to check out and get a first hand account of what the ride will be like. The website also gives us a rundown on the new Autobot featured in the ride, EVAC. The character is described as "Evac is a stealth transport Autobot stationed on Earth, and his speciality is transporting personnel and classified materials at hyper speeds - so beware of the high-speed action!"
We've mirrored some of the images here, click on the title bar to view them. You can view the rest of the gallery here. |

The Tokyo Motor Show might not sound like the most likely place to see new images of Transformers products, but none the less, it's on now and Takara-Tomy has some current and upcoming product on display! GENgoraw of our 2005 Boards has shared images of the display, which focuses on the eight Transformers Prime toys coming to Japan - Optimus Prime, Bulkhead, Arcee, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Megatron, Starscream and the Vehicon Trooper. Some are largely unchanged from their US release, like Arcee, while others like Bulkhead and Cliffjumper feature new (and shiny) paint jobs.
Also on show are the upcoming Movie Deluxe releases, Wheeljack and Soundwave, who do not look all that different from their US versions. The show exclusive Neoscanning Bumblebee was also there of course, and we've got some new images of him, plus a look at him in package from this Yahoo Japan auction. Thanks to 2005 boards member ultraq for the link to that one. Lastly there's a two sided flyer showcasing Transformers Dark of the Moon and Transformers Prime toys out now and coming to Japan shortly. Thank 2005 Boards member Masabon along with GENgoraw for the scans of this. The flyer teases about the launch of Transformers Prime toys in March - judging by the attached silhouettes, this teaser is for the main line of "Robots in Disguise" Prime toys, and not the First Editions, which are expected out in Japan later this month. |

Transformers Fans of Singapore had the chance to ask Michael Bay; the director of the Transformers Live Action Movie Trilogy some questions when he turned-up to open Transformers: The Ride.
Thanks to MSN, we have a video of the event. Here is the moment where Michael Bay talked about Transformers 4 as we previously reported. Reporter: What would you say to the fans who would like you to do more Transformers movies? there were some talk that you were involved with Transformers 4 and 5. Michael Bay: We are talkin’ about it. But there is no, nothing right now. I’m gonna do a tiny movie first. Then we’ll talk about it if I potentially do it. If I do 4, not saying I am, but just… er… if I were to, I would make sure it would be state-of-the-art of whatever the new greatest thing in 3D, how you do it. |

We've got a bonanza of in-hand images of the Tokyo Motor Show 2011 Exclusive Dark of the Moon Neoscanning Bumblebee for you tonight. This exclusive item simultaneously imitates the actual production model of the 2011 Camaro on which it is based, as well as - by virture of the black stripes vanishing as a part of the transformation - providing Movie Bumblebee with an all-yellow "Generation 1" styled recolor (nice observation, Whitemocha!)
Check out Masabon's images in the news thread by reading on - and if that's not enough of this little yellow Autobot for you, there's more pics in GENgoraw's thread in our Transformers Feedback section! Enjoy! |

Next summer IDW Publishing will delve back into the original Transformers Comic Book story. Originally published by Marvel Comics, the Transformers comic ended with issue #80. Thanks to IDW, writer Simon Furman and artist Andrew Wildman are both back on board and ready to continue this story with IDW's Regeneration #81. Now, thanks to their Wordpress blogs we have the two discussing the prequel comic, #80.5, which will come out on Free Comic Book Day. In the two blogs we learn that Simon has reread all of the issues of the original run and is planning to address or wrap up all loose threads. Andrew has made a Facebook page for Regeneration and has announced the interior color artist as Jean-Paul Bove.
Take a look at their wordpress blogs Here and Here. Then head over to the 2005 Boards to discuss |

Alright, it's time for another Transformers Prime Tuesday Q&A !
Each week, Hasbro Transformers Official Facebook Page is taking questions for the cast and crew of the hit animated series “Transformers Prime” from fans. Check out this week’s Fan Q&A with "Transformers Prime" Writer's Assistant (and writer of the episode "Stronger, Faster") Mairghread Scott! Catherine Martin asks: “Stronger, Faster” is one of my favourite “Transformers Prime” episodes! Do you think the events of the episode have had a permanent effect on Ratchet? Mairghread Scott: Of course our Story Editor (the fabulous Duane Capizzi) could answer this better, but I like to think my episode had the most impact on Optimus. Ratchet does gain a certain confidence from the events in "Stronger, Faster," but it's the first time someone really calls out Optimus for not being more aggressive toward the Decepticons. I think of this episode as the seed for Optimus' duel with Megatron in "One Shall Fall." You can read more from the Hasbro Transformers Official Facebook Page. For those who do not have the access, the article is mirrored after the jump. |
