Alright, it's time for another Transformers Prime Tuesday Q&A !
Each week, Hasbro Transformers Official Facebook Page is taking questions for the cast and crew of the hit animated series “Transformers Prime” from fans. Check out this week’s Fan Q&A with "Transformers Prime" Writer's Assistant (and writer of the episode "Stronger, Faster") Mairghread Scott! Catherine Martin asks: “Stronger, Faster” is one of my favourite “Transformers Prime” episodes! Do you think the events of the episode have had a permanent effect on Ratchet? Mairghread Scott: Of course our Story Editor (the fabulous Duane Capizzi) could answer this better, but I like to think my episode had the most impact on Optimus. Ratchet does gain a certain confidence from the events in "Stronger, Faster," but it's the first time someone really calls out Optimus for not being more aggressive toward the Decepticons. I think of this episode as the seed for Optimus' duel with Megatron in "One Shall Fall." You can read more from the Hasbro Transformers Official Facebook Page. For those who do not have the access, the article is mirrored after the jump. |

If you were shocked, like most of us were, that the Botcon hotel sold out as quickly as it did, then never fear! An update from Fun Publications confirms additional rooms have been added to the Hyatt Regency hotel block:
Due to the high volume of attendees, we have added an additional block in the hotel for those attending BotCon 2012 in Dallas Texas. Please make your reservations now at BotCon.com. Follow the hotel link. If you did not get the $129 rate for each night, you need to update your reservation as that rate is still good from the Friday before to the Monday after BotCon! SEE YOU THERE!

If you're among those who are eagerly anticipating the return of the continuity that started it all for many of us - Simon Furman and Bob Budiansky's Generation 1 comics - then check out this page pf preview art shared by Chris Ryall on Twitter. This page shows some gloriously retro styled art for the new book by Andrew Wildman - and also teases at the debut of one Ultra Magnus, who was previously only used in the UK comics.
Check it out and further whet your appetite for this highly anticpated book. |

2005 Boards member xterry has shared with us some new images of the Mastermind Collectibles Cyclops! This upcoming third party item, due for a release in 2012, is based on the Hearts of Steel "Steamship" Shockwave. It's also the biggest third party product ever - we've received word it stands roughly the same height as 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime, or approximately a head taller than Masterpiece Rodimus. He's big... real big!
Stay tuned for more images! |

3rd Party Group Maketoys has updated their website with two updates. The first is a head fix for their Battle Tanker Reveal The Shield G2 Optimus figure. According to owners of the product, if you're not careful installing the upgrade, Optimus' head is prone to break at the ball joint. This update gives clear directions on how to remedy that unfortunate situation. The second update is of several prototype images of their upcoming all original mold figure which is based on Dreamwave's version of The Fallen. This figure is looking very menacing so far, complete with a ton of weaponry and two different tank modes. An interesting thing to note, the figure sports some Powercore Combiner ports on him that are for an unknown feature at this time.
We'll keep you update here on TFW2005. For now, check out the pics and discuss on the 2005 Boards! |

A new 3rd Party Super Deformed Optimus Prime figure has popped up over on Weibo. This new figure is not only adorable, but also features a fair amount of articulation. Additionally, the figure appears to come with a cardboard trailer and is fully Transformable. A 3rd Party Group has not yet claimed the figure as their own just yet, but we'll keep you posted on TFW2005.

Believe It Or Not, Transformers 4 is now trending in Twitter. It is indeed amazing that this is happening even without a solid information regarding the next Live Action Movie of the franchise we know and love.
Online Magazine Vulture Blog is reporting that, Paramount Studio is close to sealing the deal with Mr. Michael Bay. The magazine further tells us that… "Meanwhile, the details of the next cyborg saga are being kept secret, but we’re told that it is definitely not a prequel, and that it will delve deeper into the Transformers canon to mine older characters and lore. "Regular people might not care about bringing out a character like Sentinel Prime," says one of our insiders, referring to the little-known character who played a major part in last summer’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon, "But believe me, fans of the series cared."" Later, Michael Bay himself stopped-by his website to tell the fans… “Studio's are passing rumors but I'm not sure what I'm doing? I know I'm going to do Pain and Gain early spring but that's it for right now. I'm leaving all my options on the table. I've got several Studio meetings in the next two weeks.” Also, out of nowhere, actor Tyrese Gibson made this tweet few hours ago... "Transformers 4 .................................................. ....... In MOTION!!!!!!!" While all this is happening, the Official Twitter Page of the Michael Bay Website points to a very interesting comment made by an anonymous fan at the TFLAMB. The comment is bit funny and truthful at the same time… "I told you guys in the earlier forum, it’s all over folks, love him or hate he's coming back. I actually think Bay plays these games on purpose, just to drive the haters and the Ebert crowd over there at Rotten Tomatoes nuts. After getting bashed by the so called critics his movies become major blockbusters and he just laughs all the way to the bank proving the so called critics are irrelevant. I personally would like to see a different approach altogether, hope that’s what we get. Either way Trans4 is on the way." If you are a member of TFW2005, you can join thousands of other fans to take part in ongoing discussions over at our Transformers Movies Forum to let your voice heard regarding this matter. |

Now, for something fun and Animated. The amazing Derrick J. Wyatt has tweeted an image of an Animated Generation 2 Straxus. This glorious looking Animated character not only sports bright neon colors, but also enough leopard print to give Pimp Daddy Destro a run for his money.
Take a look at the image and try not to go blind over after hitting the title bar! |

Veteran Optimus Prime (and more importantly, Optimus Primal!) voice actor Garry Chalk will be attending Dragon*Con 2012 on August 31 - September 2 2012! Garry - pictured at left serenading TFcon 2011 guests at an impromtu session at the hotel bar - was the voice of Optimus Primal for the whole run of Beast Wars, as well as the voice of Optimus Prime through Transformers Armada, Energon and Cybertron. For a whole lot of us who came into Transformers during this time, he is the voice of Optimus Prime. Don't miss this chance to meet the man himself - maybe he'll even manage another impromptu guitar concert?

With the release yesterday of the on-going Transformers #31, the writing reign of Transformers scribe Mike Costa has come to its own conclusion. Having written a total of 35 issues of Transformers, Mike Costa, interviewing with the The Underbase Podcast, proudly stated how honored and how “really cool” it is to know that only Transformers legends Simon Furman and Bob Budiansky have written more issues of this timeless comic than he has.
As Mike Costa departs, he leaves a legacy of change behind him, not only in the stories he wrote for Transformers, but also with contraversy over some of the things he's stated over the years. He makes a point to touch on some of the things from his tenure with Transformers in the Podcast which we have summarized after the jump for our viewers. You can find the PodCast in question on iTunes by searching for “The Underbase”. We’ve listened to the PodCast, and we’ve written a summary of some of his statements (as well as quotes) for you to read. Check it out after the jump. And if you’re a fan of PodCasts, don’t forget about TFW2005’s WTF@TFW PodCast, which you can find download links to by clicking here. Image courtesy of Mike Costa's TFWiki.net profile page. |

Because we really needed a third Universe Classics Hound gun option and Ravage missile set! To their credit, this new set by MGS shown off on Toyspie is a bit different from the Dr Wu set in two ways - first it includes a gas tank, an add on based on an extra accessory Hound had back in Generation 1, and second, the parts are made to conceal in vehicle mode - Hound's gun becomes his exhaust, with Ravage's missiles becoming a missile rack of sorts.

Igear has updated their Facebook page with an image of their next Mini-Warrior 3rd Party Figure. MW-04 UFO is his name and he will be based on Generation 1 Cosmos. Something very cool to note is that UFO has a space helmet. That is how Transformers artist Guido Guidi depicted him in the recent Transformers Ongoing comic book in issue #12. This might be a great alternative to anyone still trying to track down the limited Hasbro release of Universe Cosmos.
Take a look at the image and sound off on the 2005 Boards! |

Blu-Ray.com is reporting that the full 3D Blu-Ray release of Transformers Dark of the Moon is out next month on 31 January 2012. It's coming as a Blu-ray 3D / Blu-ray / DVD / Digital Copy combo pack, and it will present the film in its original aspect ratio of 2.39:1. No word on special features for this release yet, so it's not clear if this will be the full deluxe set, or just the bare-bones edition like the previous Blu-Ray, with the 3D copy added.
