Earlier we reported a rumor that the main line of Transformers Prime toys has shown up at retail in the United States. Thanks to one of the newest 2005 Board members, Phantomcrow, we now have confirmation of that rumor. Phantomcrow reports finding the first wave of Revealers (Deluxes) and the first wave of Powerizers (Voyagers) at a local Toys R Us in Kansas City, MO. Other sightings have been reported in California as well. All sightings have been from Toys R Us Stores.
The hunt is on and the game is afoot, load your wallets with cash and get to your local Toys R Us! Don't forget, if you see anything else new from the Transformers Prime line make sure to let us know in our sightings forum. |

In what is sure to be either the most successful or most insanely popular Happy Meal ventures since Beanie Babies, Equestria Daily is reporting that Transformers Prime toys will be coming to Happy Meal boxes at your local McDonalds this March. The Transformers Prime Toys will be offered in a boys Happy Meal while another one of Hasbro's properties, My Little Pony, will be offered to the girls. No pictures as of yet, but we'll keep you posted on TFW.
What kind of Happy Meal toys would you prefer this time around? Gimmick and weapon based non-Transforming figures like the most recent movie toys? Or perhaps you would like to see Transforming toys return ie;Animated, Beast Wars, and McChangeables? Discuss these possibilities and the combo of Transformers and MLP after the break! |

A few days ago we posted a story regarding some updates to the Takara-Tomy website, and today we'll be posting an update to THAT update, as thanks to GunJap.net we have some clarifications regarding what we speculated to be a stage based upon Optimus Prime for the Asahikawa Winter Festival, revealing that the project is in reality a giant 16 Meter (Or 52 1/2 feet) statue of Transformers: Prime Optimus Prime made entirely out of snow. We'll keep you posted on this chilling story as time goes on.

It seems the Dark of the Moon news won't stop as brief as each story may be, and this time the news is brought to us by Engadget, who has a brief clip of a special feature of the upcoming Special Edition BluRay, specifically regarding the 3D filming of the movie. The new Special Edition BluRay hits stores on January 31st.

In some unexpected awesome news, BWTF.com has got their hands on a Deluxe Ratchet from the Transformers Prime line! Ben has also taken the time to take a bunch of pictures and review this figure who had, up until now, only been seen at Botcon 2011. An added bonus, the new mold of Deluxe Arcee can be seen on the back of the packaging.
Take a look at all the images by clicking the link above or the title bar. |

A bit of news today from Transformers Collector's Club regarding the toy formerly known as Runabout. Full robot mode pictures will be up later today, but the TFCC has announced that the name is no longer available for use and will instead be called "Over-Run" because "from a product standpoint we had to go with the name "Over-Run"... We could have searched out other names CLOSER to Runabout BUT that would have delayed us getting this guy to you all SOONER rather than later. Just all the way the schedule worked out."
From a legal standpoint, this naming issue is either due to Star Trek or a little red wagon. |

Our fellow fans at Seibertron.com have passed along some interesting new images - one of which appears to be our first look at the Leader Class Weaponizer Optimus Prime. The new Optimus Prime in the pictures appears to have the most accurate truck mode yet, with a smaller handgun and two more cannons mounted on the shoulders - consistent with the earlier reports from earlier this week. The main body itself looks rather bulky, perhaps to a similar level as the original 2007 Movie Leader Class Optimus Prime - suggesting that there might be a soundbox in that torso, or possibly the front end of the cab hanging from the back.
Also pictured are a quartet of new Bot Shots, which includes a Bot Shot version of 2007 Movie Decepticon Brawl, and Transformers Prime Ratchet. There's also a pair of old style formula racing cars, one of whom reminds me of Fizzle from the Sparkabots. The other's a yellow version that reminds me of Generation 2 Blaze. That's probably not who they'll be though. |

The latest wave of TakaraTomy's Transformers United series has hit the shelves in Japan, and TFW2005.com member Masabon has shared some in-hand photos of some of these. Here, we are treated to the United versions of Warpath, Thunderwing, Rodimus Prime, and the Windcharger vs. Decepticon Wipe-Out set! These toys are the identical molds found on the Reveal the Sheild and the Generations releases with some notable deco and paint application changes often characteristic of TakaraTomy's releases.
He has also generously provided some translations of the bios found on the cardbacks (which you can view in the discussion thread). You can also view the image gallery shared with us after the jump! Are you happy with what you have already purchased, or do you find some of the deco changes worth importing? Be sure to discuss your thoughts in our on-going discussion thread ! |

Bad news reaches us from our sponsors, Big Bad Toy Store and TFSource. The Transformers Prime First Edition toy line, which contains amongst others a very sharp screen accurate Optimus Prime and Bulkhead, plus Cliffjumper with show-accurate arm cannons, have been officially canceled for US distribution. A very small few made it to Toys R Us, along with a partial release of the line in Asia and Canada. Although it was always intended to be a limited run line, it looks now like that many preorders may simply not be filled.
Earlier today, Big Bad Toy Store began sending out the following email: We apologize that we have learned that Hasbro has canceled these [Transformers Prime First Edition] figures. We will be listing new TF Prime preorders on Wednesday 2/1. Some of these may convert to new listings and some will be canceled. We will email you with updates between now and Wednesday. TFSource also posted the following on Twitter and Facebook: Unfortunately we have some bad news, we didn't want to call it until Hasbro confirmed, but the rest of the Transformers Prime First Edition series figures will not hit the US. New Prime preorders will be up next week, if you already have placed an order you can opt to convert to the new product (RID) or cancel your order if you no longer want the RID piece. Once we have more news and the new preorders up next week we'll reach out directly to all customers that preordered. Unfortunately it seems likely that the line will at this point never see a full, mainstream US release. However, hope is not completely lost - this may be like previous occasions where items that seemed to be canceled eventually turned up in discount stores such as Ross, as was the case with the Reveal the Shield Voyager assortment, Power Core Combiners or Windcharger. We live in the hope. |
