The Transformers Prime toyline has launched in Japan - and Japanese blogger Alfes2000 (along with a couple of others) has shared lots and lots of lovely new pictures of the new toys. There's comparisons with the US releases where available, plus shots showing the toys without their stickers in some cases. In addition to the Arms Microns and the stickers in place of paint applications, some of the toys have subtle plastic color variations. Check out the new galleries (all courtesy of Alfes2000 unless noted):

And last but not least, a demonstration of the combination gimmick of the Arms Microns and the E-Hobby exclusive sticker sheet.

Tomorrow might be the end of March, but it's not the end of the new Transformers Prime episodes - they'll be carrying on through the month of April too! Tomorrow though to see March out is the new episode Crossfire - and to whet your appetite for the new episode there is another new still for you to check out - this one, coming at you via the Transformers Facebook page, shows Megatron and Dreadwing, who was introduced last week in Loose Cannons.

Check out the new episode on The Hub tomorrow at 8:30 ET | 5:30 PT!

TFC Toys, the group behind, most recently, the massive combiner Hercules, has dropped a pixelated teaser of one of their next projects on their Facebook page.

While it is the nature of teasers to be vague and speculation-inducing, this news writer believes, in his humble opinion, that we're looking at the previously announced and displayed WW2 limb set for your Power Core Combiner commanders.

What do you think? Head over to the boards to share your thoughts!

2005 Boards Member Gilgamesh is bringing us product images of Transformers: Prime Airachnid, Deadend & Ultra Magnus toy figures.

We first heard of the Airachnid toy, way back in April 2010 when S250 told us about the figure. Her spectacular entrance on the show earned the respect of fans, who demanded a toy immediately.

Deadend looks like a Repaint of Transformers: Prime RID Wheeljack.

And finally Ultra Magnus look as though he is a Cyberverse Commander.

Update: This writer took the liberty of enhancing the Images for your viewing pleasure. Take a look at the images attached with this news post, after-the-jump.

To go with the new "Cybertron Satellite" campaign running in Japan, there are a number of special Primes who have been created to act as mascots for certain towns and neighborhoods. They are all based on existing Transformers characters, with some shoutouts to the neighborhood who they are a mascot for. They are:

Akiba Prime, based on Transformers Prime Arcee by way of Sailor Moon for Akihabara's otaku culture.
Kawasaki Prime, based on Generation 1 Jazz with a water motif for the local Tama River.
Nagoya Prime, based on Movie Ironhide and featuring shoulder designs based on the golden dolphins of Nagoya Castle.
Tachikawa Prime, based on Revenge of the Fallen Legends Springer, with a military style inspired by the Tachikawa Airfield.
Umeda Prime, based on Movie Ratchet, with tiger stripes and a tail in connection with the Hanshin Tigers.

There is also a Ginza Prime, who has yet to be seen.

Snakas also has some pictures up of the in-store display for the Cybertron Satellite.

Special thanks to the TFWiki for information on the local inspirations behind each of the designs.

Fun Publications have sent out an update to all current members of the Transformers and G.I. Joe Collector's Clubs. The key messages of the update are to check your details on the Collector's Club store for the mailing of magazines and exclusives, as well as to check your auto-renew date for club membership if you do not want to continue on as a member of the Collector's Club.

Click here to access the store and check your details.

Original text of update follows:

Hello all!

This is coming from our new store software to all active members. We have been transferring and cleaning up data in order to use our new system. We want to have one more set of eyes to look at your addresses, and that's you!

Please go to this link and log in using the email address this email came to, and your old club password (unless you have changed it in the new store).

As we continue to bring up new systems and software, this will remain your membership log in and password. You may change either at anytime by logging in. However, each membership you have must have a unique email address as that will be your log in from here forward. If you don't know your password, use the retrieval link and then log in and change it.

After you log in, please check all of the tabs and make sure your information is accurate. You will have until Tuesday at 5 pm central time to make any changes to your address(es). After that time we will lock the files and create the mailing lists for this year's membership figure and your April issue. Your April issue will run about 2 weeks late. Next month, we should be back on our regular schedule.

We have limited the access in this first implementation of the club store. There are still some issues we have to work out this week before we put product in. We want to make sure all of the data is correct before we move forward.

If you have more than one membership and have trouble getting into your second account or if you have accounts in both clubs, please contact customer service and we will assist you. It is more efficient for you to email us. Don't reply to this email, use the links on the bottom of all of our pages.

In addition, approximately 150 of you will expire this next week (check your Bill Date in your profile). The new system automatically renews you on your billing anniversary provided you have a valid credit card on file. If you don't want to leave it on file, you can come back after it is billed (you can see the charge in your account) and delete it.

Thanks for your support and help!

Brian

Mastermind Creations have updated their Facebook gallery with new images of their Knight Morpher Cyclops / unofficial Hearts of Steel Shockwave. The ironclad steamship version of Shockwave from Hearts of Steel is represented here for the first time in color in both modes. Also shown is a look at the anchor for this big boat - what do you want to bet that becomes a flail in robot mode? - and a size comparison with Masterpiece Grimlock.

That's right, Mastermind Creations have pushed the boat out with this one and made an unofficial product on the same scale as the official Transformers Masterpiece series.

The two figures up for preorder are: MW-03 Hench (an updated Generation 1 Brawn figure) and MW-04 UFO (an updated Generation 1 Cosmos figure). Both figures should slide easily onto any fans Classics Transformers shelves. These two figures will come in a slightly larger scale than the previous two Mini-Warriors, and as such, the price has increased as well.

You can preorder these two figures at any of the following online retailers: Bigbadtoystore.com, TFSource, and Robotkingdom.

This is a happy news coming from April Fools’ Day.TFLAMB reports that Michael Bay’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon did not win any Razzie Awards this year.

For those who do not know, The Golden Raspberry Awards or “Razzies” for short, is an award ceremony for motion pictures that are judged to be of low quality considering Script, Acting, Directing and many other aspects.

Though Transformers 3 got nominated this year, it didn’t “win” any Razzie Awards. As Optimus Prime of 2005 Boards reported, TF3 was nominated for the following categories:
  • Worst Picture
  • Worst Supporting Actress (Rosie Huntington-Whitely)

Just a couple of bits from around the network that might be of interest to our multi-fandom fans:

G.I. Joe - The HissTank Database BETA is now live - A full resources section for G.I. Joe similar to TFW2005. Currently for 25th forward as it gets it's feet off the ground. If you wanna see nice clean pics of what's come out since 2007 - give it a spin!

Thundercats - The second season (or season 1 part 2) has started for the new Thundercats series. Check out reviews for the first 2 eps here and here. Check out HD screen caps for the first two eps here and here.

Toyark - Marvel Legends 2012 is here, and Toyark has been doing some sweet photo shoots of all the figs. Check out the index of the Toyark shoots here. Also - the Toyark got a forum restructuring a while back, so feel free to browse around starting here.

Tokunation - still plugging away! If you are into Power Rangers, Sentai, and all that good stuff - check them out here.
