Site Sponsor Big Bad Toy Store has sent us an update with listings for the upcoming Fall of Cybertron/Generations Wave 2 preorders. This wave will be the retail debut of the highly awaited Fall of Cybertron Bruticus.
Hi - Hot news from Hasbro this morning - we've just listed the Transformers Generations Wave 02 Case and Set that include Bruticus! Hasbro has increased pricing on all Deluxe TF items moving forward, so there is a price bump on this and all future waves. The case of 8 is available at $119.99 and we also have a set of 5 that removes all the old figures from the case listed at $104.99 http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/list.aspx?list=9925 We'll also be listing Avengers Transformers Crossover figures within the hour Thanks! Joel The updated listings for The Avengers Marvel Crossovers have since been posted on Big Bad Toy Store's website. This wave of Transformers Crossovers is comprised of redecos of earlier Marvel Crossovers molds in color schemes that are more in line with the recently released movie. |

It is currently unknown if this mold will be released outside of Arms Micron. |

Japanese site mu-mo reports that the Japanese dub of Transformers Prime will be getting a new opening and closing song, presumably for episodes from the second season. The new opening song will be titled "TRANSFORMERZ" by m-flo, while the second ending song will be "A Little Bit" by Clutcho.
Will they be more like the awesome themes of Japanese Transformers shows past such as Transformers EVO by Jam Project for Transformers Animated, or will they continue with the alternate laid-back style of the dub's first opening song? |

More and more! Next up on the Japanese Transformers front are more images of next month's new Transformers Prime Arms Micron releases. First is Darkness Megatron with his two Arms Microns, one of whom forms an utterly wicked scythe and demonic wings for the robot mode. He's the Japanese release of the mainline Voyager Class Megatron - the Arms Microns and added chrome make a new robot of him though.
Also released are official images of the Jet Vehicon, a completely reshelled version of the popular car type Vehicon - this one is a rather cool flying car design, with a winged robot mode. These images come at you by way of Amazon Japan! There's also pictures up of the next two EZ Collection releases, Ultra Magnus and Medic Knock Out with Energon Driller, but these are the same as the official pictures for the Hasbro release. |

More new Transformers toy sightings for you now. Airachnid and the Cyberverse vehicles hit store shelves last week, and this week, it's time for the big guns! Optimus Maximus, the Cyberverse giant battlebase that transforms into a large version of Optimus Prime, has been sighted at US retail. This one was sighted in the K-Mart in Penn Station, New York City by my good friend and fellow 2005 Boards member Bulkhead! The price rang up at $36.49, although the actual RRP might be a bit nearer to $30.
Happy hunting everyone! |

Whenever Hasbro applies for a new Trademark, there is a chance that we’ll most probably see or hear about it at some point later. It may take few days or maybe even years (Mind you, Airachnid’s toy was revealed more than three years after the Trademark application).
United States Patent And Trademark Office reveals a new Hasbro Trademark titled “Combiners”. The trademark is categorized under the same description given to any other Transformers Trademark: “Toy action figures, toy vehicles and toy robots convertible into other visual toy forms” You can find more details at USPTO and keep it up with TFW2005 for latest news… first. |

The achievement list for Transformers Fall of Cybertron has been posted, revealing a few different facts about the game. Revealed here for example is that there are 13 chapters in the game, with the final battle of the game playable as either Optimus Prime or Megatron. There's also a few hints at which chapters will see us playing as which characters.
In addition as with War for Cybertron many of the Fall of Cybertron achievements read as references to Transformers fiction - many of them this time referencing old episodes of Generation 1 or comics, with a few other references thrown in for good measure. Can you spot all the classic Transformers references thrown into the list by High Moon? Check out the full list of achievements on Exophase. |

The Fansproject community site FansProjectCore has posted the first prototype photos of Warbot Assaulter. Linework was only recently revealed, and a rendering on the Core shows that this is indeed an homage to the triple-changer G1 Broadside. The photos reveal robot mode, one of presumably two vehicle modes, and size comparisons with the Assaulter's Warbot comrades, Defender and Steel Core.
All the photos have been mirrored after the jump for those who are not members of the FansProjectCore website. Staff Note: This kit is an unofficial product not produced or endorsed by Hasbro or Takara/Tomy. |

Two legends are about to meet. The news buzzing around the Web is that Larry King is going to interview Peter Cullen at the San Diego Comic-Con 2012.
The Hub officially announced this via Facebook: “Friday, July 13, “OPTIMUS PRIME: Up Close and Personal” (6:00 p.m., Room 23ABC) The incomparable Larry King, one of the most recognized broadcast interviewers in the world, goes one-on-one with voice actor Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime), a talent who is practically synonymous with Comic-Con itself. In this panel, "The King of Interviews" salutes the beloved Cullen and takes attendees through the actor's early days on the original 1984 animated TV series “Transformers Generation One,” the three box office smash Transformers movies, and his current work on The Hub TV network's Daytime Emmy® Award-winning animated series “Transformers Prime” from Hasbro Studios. Audience Q&A to follow.” The Hub at SDCC will also feature other popular franchises including Aquabats, Dan vs. and My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Hopefully, this will be the day we hear the return of Transformers: Prime. |
