Photos have emerged at ACTOY.net, showing Masterpiece Lambor/Sideswipe out of package and in-hand. The photos aren't big, but they are clear and convey an excellent sense of what we can expect from the final retail product. The packaging is compact, follows the standard Takara Masterpiece format, and displays the Lamborghini logo prominently.
MP-12 is due out towards the entire of this year. |

Thanks to the Singaporean Transformers Facebook group Planet Iacon, we now have a sighting of the second wave of the new Transformers: Generations line in Hong Kong. This second wave features the Energon-inspired redecos of the Fall of Cybertron Combaticons, who (as per the packaging's command of "BUILD GIANT ROBOT") can be combined into Bruticus.

TV Shows on DVD has received a press release on Transformers Prime Season 2's boxed set release on DVD and Blu-Ray, along with the cover art for the set. The cover depicts Optimus Prime and Megatron locked in combat, with the image of Cybertron in the background. The press release details some of what is in store in the way of special features, and also confirms the release dates.
In terms of special features, there are two listed. The first is the San Diego Comic Con 2012 "Optimus Prime Up Close and Personal" panel with Larry King and Peter Cullen. The second is collectively "brand new interviews with the series creative team". There's no word on other goodies like commentary tracks at this stage. The release dates are also confirmed with street dates of November 20 2012 for the DVD version and November 27 2012 for the Blu Ray set. |

3rd party group, Perfect Effect have updated their blog with teases for two upcoming products. The first, a remold release of their popular Scouting Force X. This time around, the three camera-bots will be given a Generation 1 toy color scheme and new parts such as the chests and heads. The figures also get new names; Vanguard, Sniper and Cannonier . So far, it seems that these may be a Japanese fan convention, transfunket, exclusive, but that's not confirmed just yet. We'll update as more info becomes available.
Also teased is PE-DEX02 shown in cycle mode. This upcoming figure will be a Black Arachnia inspired motorcycle bot and may be an extensive remold of their PE-DX01 Motobot. This figure has been previously teased before, but hopefully new images and information will be available shortly. |

Yes friends, the hour is near. In a little over three hours Transformers Prime will return with its first all-new episode since the cliffhanger ending that left us all questioning the fate of one major character at the end of Toxicity. Well today we'll finally find out how that cliffhanger is resolved! To whet your appetite for new Transformers Prime action, we have one final preview clip from the episode to share with you via The Hub's Youtube page. This clip shows a tense battle involving Wheeljack - be warned this whole video clip is a bit spoiler-ish

Zap2it has updated with another new listing for an upcoming Transformers Prime episode. The episode is titled Legacy and is airing on 21 September 2012 - and that's it, there's no description for this one at this time.
Your guess is as good as ours on what the "legacy" referred to might be - perhaps some hidden secret from the past of the Transformers, as was the case in the Thundercats episode titled legacy, or perhaps it could refer to the lasting impact of a character who has passed on. One thing is for sure - it's probably got nothing to do with the classic Simon Furman Generation 1 story arc "Legacy of Unicron", but on the other hand, Unicron has appeared in this series... Okay, looks like we spoke too soon when we said we'd seen all the preview material there is to see for the new episode of Transformers Prime. With three hours on the clock the official Transformers Facebook page posted another new preview image for tonight's episode, Hurt, and this time, it's looking like Knock Out is the one who's suffered! (For those of you following the show though, you'll remember these are the wounds he suffered in Tunnel Vision)
Tune in at 7pm ET on The Hub to check out the new episode, Hurt! |

After weeks of waiting, the Toys R Us Exclusive Masterpiece Thundercracker has finally hit stores shelves here in the USA, and the TFW2005 Boards member who brought us this news isn't quite done yet. TFW2005 Boards member formula93 has also provided us with a pictorial review of Thundercracker, showing the toy off in various angles and spotlighting some of the tampographed details on the toy (namely references to Reflector, Soundwave, and Hasbro product designer Joe Kyde.)

And now for something completely different.
Earlier this month, we ran a story about a promotion that High Moon Studios and Ford Australia ran on their Facebook page, asking fans to help create the first Australian-created Transformer. And now, the result of the promotion has been revealed, via the gaming website Player Attack, with art of the Australian Autobot known as Falcatron, who turns into a Cybertron-inspired Falcon XR6 Turbo Sedan. As announced and confirmed in the prior news story, this will be only a piece of concept art and there no plans to add this to the game through DLC. |

There is a new, presumably Generation 1 inspired, Transformers manga starting up this November in the Japanese magazine Kerokero Ace. It is titled "Transformers Allspark" and will be written by Naoto Tsushima, whose previous credits include the "Transformers Animated the Cool" manga, Robot Masters series online and pack-in manga, Henkei! Henkei! Transformers manga serialised in Comic Bun Bun and packaging art for many of the Transformers Henkei series of toys.
Check out the original tweet from Transfunket which includes the teaser image of Generation 1 Optimus Prime racing into battle. |

Hobbybase on Facebook has posted some in-hand images of the single carded retail release versions of the Fall of Cybertron Combaticons, who have just recently been released at Asian retail. The five Combaticons - Onslaught, Swindle, Vortex, Blast Off and Brawl - are all being shipped one per case in the second assortment of Generations Fall of Cybertron Deluxe Class figures, and naturally, by collecting all five you can combine them into the gigantic Decepticon Bruticus. There's pictures of all five Combaticons here for you in bot modes as well as one of the combined form - check them out and enjoy!

This is the first ever Masterpiece toy of Sunstorm, and is a redeco of the MP-11 Starscream that was released earlier this year, complete with blue versions of Starscream's Coronation garb.

To finish up the week, we're bringing you a gallery of the Transformers Prime Arms Micron Terrorcon Bumblebee figure. Terrorcon Bumblebee here was an Aeon stores exclusive in Japan and by accounts a relatively harder to find Japanese store exclusive owing to the smaller numbers of stores compared to Toys R Us Japan. He's a fantastic black redeco of Bumblebee who looks great with or without his stickers. The head sculpt looks particularly great in this deco with the black and the purple eyes giving the toy a really evil feel. He also comes with a different Micron to the initial release, Terrorcon Zori, a clear purple version of Soundwave's Arms Micron partner. It's a cool addition and I like the clear purple, though the size of the tentacle whip mode is a bit cumbersome in my view.
All in all, Terrorcon Bumblebee is a very cool little recolor. The black deco looks extremely sharp, and the inclusion of a new Arms Micron sets him apart from the first version. He's only a straight redeco of the regular Bumblebee though, so all the pros and cons of that toy carry over to this exclusive version. That's enough out of me though, open the link below and check out the gallery! Transformers Prime Arms Micron Terrorcon Bumblebee with Terrorcon Zori Gallery Also check out our gallery update from earlier this week for more Transformers Prime Arms Micron goodness! |

There's been some buzz around lately - with auctions for purported leaked toys on Taobao and assumed early releases - that Takara-Tomy was revisiting Transformers Henkei one more time to release the Classics Ultra Magnus for its market complete with full white legs like the Generation 1 toy. The more skeptical of us were, well, skeptical.
Here's the reality though. Transformers Henkei Ultra Magnus is for real. It's coming out as a new Asia exclusive release, due out late September / early October 2012 - in other words, it's not a revival of the Henkei line by Takara-Tomy but an Asian market exclusive, like a growing number of items recently. If you would like a Generation 1 accurate version of Classics Ultra Magnus, it's up for preorder now at Robot Kingdom. |
