The Transformers Collectors Club have released a couple of new pictures of their Subscription Service Scourge figure on Twitter. One of the two pictures shows a nice closeup on Scourge brandishing his Sword of Fury in a recreation of one of his iconic poses from Robots in Disguise. The second picture is a comparison with the other two recent uses of the mold, the Botcon 2012 Shattered Glass Optimus Prime and Shattered Glass Ultra Magnus. The picture gives you an idea of how the paint applications have been varied up a bit to give this iteration of the mold a new, fresh feeling.
You've got until 12 September to get your subscription in for this figure and the other five in the Subscription Service set (Animated Jackpot, Prime Slipstream, Classics Breakdown, Classics Circuit and Beast Wars Ultra Mammoth are the other five). Find out more at the Transformers Collectors Club homepage. |

Our fellow fans over at the Allspark have shared some translated details of the Transformers United EX line which was originally published in the latest Figure King magazine. The translation gives the overarching backstory for the line, a couple of new subgroups, and lastly also details the basic bios of the first two "Prime Mode" sets, Combat Master and Jet Master.
The backstory goes that the war between the Autobots and Decepticons has once again shifted into outer space leaving the Earth in relative peace. The Autobots, working with Professor Chase (aka Chip Chase from the Generation 1 cartoon series) develop a new system where they can use Power Core Combination to merge with teams of four drones. The Autobots with this capability become known as "Master Class", but the Decepticons form their own covert counter-ops team with the same abilities, named "Master Chaos". Essentially it is a fleshing out of the basic premise of the Power Core Combiners line, as well as shifting the backstory from a pseudo-Movie universe continuity into a fully Generation 1 incorporated continuity. According to a further post by Hydra on the Allspark, it takes place very late in Japanese Generation 1 continuity, with the character names being codenames - i.e. Jet Master is not the character's actual identity but a codename to conceal who he really is, due to the classified nature of the project. Some bio data is also provided for Combat Master and Jet Master. Combat Master is a Decepticon strategic commander who has been active since the early days of the war, and like Bombshock he steals his drone team from the Autobots, but in a fleshing out of the story it is stated the drones he stole were intended for Chopper Master initially. Jet Master meanwhile like Skyburst is the first Autobot to achieve Power Core Combination, and in a fleshing out of Skyburst's story, his Aerialbot drones are based on data gathered from the original Aerialbots. He was also built on Planet Z, with his four drones - Zone Drone, Feminia Drone, Micro Drone, Tenth Drone - all being named for planets featured in the Transformers Zone story. Check out the original post and full translation over on the Allspark. |

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation has an auction running on Ebay at the moment for something rather cool - a poster showcasing the Transformers Prime cast, signed by the 12 main voice actors from the series. It's an extremely limited edition piece, with less than 25 made, and 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation.
The poster is signed by Peter Cullen, Frank Welker, Steve Blum, Jeffrey Combs, Sumalee Montano, Kevin Michael Richardson, Daran Norris, Tony Todd, Tania Gunadi, Josh Keaton, Andy Pessoa and a mystery 12th person whose character has yet to debut on the show. Click here to check out the auction. |

Autobase Aichi on Facebook have shared some in-hand images of the second assortment of Transformers Prime Arms Micron Gashapon (Capsule Toys). The second set of these cool little toys includes Bulkhead Knuckle, Arcee Blade, Megatron Cannon and the two color variants of the turtle Dado. The Bulkhead, Arcee and Megatron figures transform from small versions of the characters from the show into weapons color matched to their larger counterparts, while Dado becomes a shield. Also shown in this gallery is a demonstration of a pair of new Arms Micron Super Combo Weapons, one formed from the combination of Bulkhead Knuckle and Wave 1's Optimus Prime Blaster and Bumblebee Sword, and the other formed using Dado and Wave 1's Gob and Zad.

Hey there, Fall of Cybertron fans! Enjoying the game so far? Why not enjoy it with more of your fellow fans? This Saturday (September 1st) starting at 11 AM Eastern, there will be a TFW2005 Community Playdate for Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. Whether it be through attempting to go through every wave in Escalation, or teaming up with (or against) your fellow TFW bros in the various competitive game modes, this weekend would be the time to do it, across all three platforms. There are no special events or prizes planned for this. It is just an excuse to have some fun with a bunch of TFW2005 bros.
While you do NOT have to register for the playdate, it'd be much appreciated if interested players submitted their Xbox Live gamertag/PSN profile name in the thread for ease of access. Steam players, you can do the same OR simply join the pre-existing Steam group that a bunch of TFW2005 users have set up. Gamertags will be added to the first post in the thread until the event itself starts. Please do mention which platform your account name is for when you post in the thread. Further details, such as organization and the gamertag list so far, are in the first post of the thread. Hit the Discuss link to take the jump. |

Takara-Tomy by way of Amazon Japan has released official images of the three Arms Micron series releases for September in Japan. Due out around 28 September are Gaia Unicron, Ironhide and Arms Master Optimus Prime. Gaia Unicron is so far only confirmed for a Japanese release and transforms from a large robot mode into a demonic tank, and can also evidently transform into armor for Optimus Prime or Megatron. Ironhide is a recolor of Sergeant Kup and again currently Japan is the only place confirmed to be getting this recolor. Lastly Arms Master Optimus Prime is the Japanese release of Weaponizer Optimus Prime, with a translucent blue version of Ratchet's R.A. Arms Micron and a large "Matrix" accessory which transforms into a huge sword. Not shown in these pictures is the fact it can also combine with both robot and truck mode on Optimus.

A second Transformers: Prime Season 2 Upcoming Episodes Promo, similar to what we saw couple of days back, is now online. Sadly, this promo is shorter than the original and is missing few key scenes (but thankfully giving us a clear look at the new Autobot’s vehicle mode).
We also took liberty to grab screen captures from the video for your viewing pleasure. Credit goes to You Tube user darkenpuffs for uploading the video to You Tube and our very own citygrl903 for pointing us to the right direction. Like the previous trailer, this trailer too can be considered as Spoilers. |

On Facebook, Midtown Comics has shared this particularly cool bit of artwork by artist Phil Jimenez who was worked on comics such as Infinite Crisis and Wonder Woman between 2000 and 2003. This artwork is a concept only - it's not a preview for a comic that is coming down the pipeline or anything - but it shows Phil's impression of what a Justice League / Transformers crossover might look like.
