Xovergen has recently posted on Facebook some new photos of their upcoming TrailerForce product, showing off the full robot mode as well as the trailer and weapons platform modes. This upcoming release is reminiscent of Generation 1 Powermaster Optimus Prime and is compatible with not just the Classics 2006 Voyager Optimus Prime (as seen in these photos) but the original Generation 1 Optimus Prime as well.

Once again The Allspark comes through with a translation of the story that comes with the Transformers United EX toys. This time they have shared a translation of the third story in the United EX plotline, Prelude to the Siege. This story chapter introduces Combat Master into the battle between Chopper Master and Roller Master and establishes how he comes to acquire his own set of Power Core Combiner drones. The story also brings in a new big bad behind the Decepticons known merely as "High Regent"; given the timeline placement of this series in the late Japanese Generation 1 where the Decepticons were usually the thrall of some extra-dimensional entity or other (see also: Violenjaeger, Dark Nova) this is not unprecedented - but given the way that so far United EX is weaving in many plot threads from across the whole spectrum of Transformers lore, don't discount the possibility that this might be someone we've met before!
The story and bio translation establish a few other details about Transformers United EX, namely that the Transformers United EX story is happening in parallel with Operation Combination (and that the story of Operation Combination was in fact merely a distraction for the events of this story!) Moreso, the story also establishes that Combat Master is Onslaught reborn - in the story illustration the Bruticus redeco, Battle Gaia, can be seen and is referenced in the plot as being "based on Combat Master's data". The bio backs this up with a very Onslaught bio of being a robot who prefers to let his subordinates do the fighting, and also with references to how he has been active since the early days of the war. Check out the full translation over on the Allspark! |

Today it gives us pride to share a new Transformers gallery with you! Next up is the first of two new releases in Voyager Class Wave 4, Ultra Magnus!
Ultra Magnus may be familiar to anyone who picked up the Cyberverse toy, as the Voyager Class toy is very much an upscaled version of the Cyberverse Commander, with a few extra steps and panels for the arm and leg transformations. This regrettably brings over some of the bad points of that design along with the good ones, such as the rear view of the truck mode having the robot mode legs on full view. But there are some good points too, including some excellent articulation and the best MechTech weapon on a Transformers Prime toy yet - one that not only locks in its deployed mode, but that also features two distinct modes. All in all, Ultra Magnus is a great toy. He's not without flaws, but he stands up well all things considered. Well worth the purchase in my opinion, provided you are able to pick him up at retail or close to retail prices. Check out the full gallery by opening the link below: Transformers Prime Ultra Magnus Gallery |

Several thumbnail images have surfaced on, presumably, another TFC Weibo blog. Although small, these images confirm that Uranus' core robot, inspired by G1 Silverbolt, will be modeled after an SR-71 Blackbird. Although one of the images does display the combiner torso mode, there is no indication of the rumored 6th Uranus team member who provides the chest plate.

Meteor Operation on Facebook has posted an in-hand look at the GDO Voyager Megatron toy. A remolded version of Bludgeon, GDO Megatron sports a new head and a deco recalling Generation 2 Megatron. The head sculpt is interesting and full of personality, though your mileage may vary on how far an overtly Classic styled head fits the skeletal movie-styled Bludgeon body.

Alfes2000 of the Higekuma Toy Blog has posted a selection of photos of another recent release in Japan, Arms Micron Ironhide. These pictures show that Arms Micron Ironhide is largely unchanged as far as molding goes from Sergeant Kup, as well as an alternate transformation to leave the shoulders clear if that is your taste. 2005 Boards member Tcracker has also posted a selection of images which include comparison pictures with Kup.
Also posted are some pictures giving a look at the Shining R.A. Campaign Microns, given away this month in Japan. |

i09.com has posted an article in regards to fashion. Sorta. Two hoodies have been revealed, one is an Optimus Prime hoodie designed to look like his chest. Pull the hood up and zip up the faceplate and you're ready to do damage to the neighborhood as Optimus Prime! If Prime isn't your style, you can go Grimlock. Pull the hood up and you'll show off your Sharkticon crushing teeth.
Check out these crazy, yet fun, designs by clicking the link above or the title bar. |

Amazon.co.jp has posted new images of the upcoming Transformers: Cap Bots toys from Takara-Tomy. As announced back in June, these upcoming toys are Transforming Baseball Caps that turn into robots- with the Autobot one in typical Optimus Prime colors (as well as sporting a head that looks like Optimus Prime wearing a baseball hat) and a Decepticon one in black and purple. These toys are due out in December of this year.

It's been two weeks, so it's time for another TFW2005 Creative Spotlight! Every two weeks, we here at TFW2005 will be giving a brief spotlight to something we think is special from the TFW2005 Creative Subforums as a nod to one of TFW2005's biggest sub-communities. Last time, we took a quick look into the customization aspect of those subforums, so we thought it would only be fair if this time around we gave the spotlight to something in the Fan Art section.
This time, we have chosen to spotlight Fakebusker83's Shapeways projects (which are available to order through Fakebusker's Shapeways storefront) and we interviewed Fakebusker about the inspiration behind these kits and for a look into the design process. Check out the interview after the jump, and don't forget to swing by the thread to check out all of Fakebusker's creations and links to various galleries featuring the creations. |

Third party group Fansproject has posted an update on their community website FansProjectCore regarding their upcoming Warbot Assaulter.
According to the update, pre-orders through FansProjectCore will be open soon, and will include some unspecified bonus accessories. The new images show Assaulter in-package next to his fellow Warbots. There are two additional photos of Assaulter in what is presumably his aircraft carrier mode, with tiny, scaled models of Warbots Defender and Steel Core. |

Disappointed that the initial Weaponizer Bumblebee release had inaccurate stripes? Want a more show accurate figure? Good news, a more show-accurate variant has appeared! Dudicus has spotted a Variant Weaponizer Bumblebee at his local Fred Meyer store in Vancouver, Washington. This could be a running change so be patient it may take a while before it shows up in mass market, depending on how well the existing figure sells in your area(s).
Click on the thumbnail for a closer look at the stripes. |

Some good news for the Canadian Transformers collectors out there, as many toys have been sighted at retail in Canada.
Thanks to Cybertron.CA member Hellboy, we now have a sighting of Transformers Prime Voyager Dreadwing at Canadian retail. This toy is part of the third wave of Transformers Prime Voyagers and was sighted at a Walmart in Ontario. Cybertron.CA member wervenom has also found the first sighting of the formerly Asian-Market exclusive GDO Scouts at a Toys R Us in Ontario. This wave consists of Laserbeak, Sandstorm, Dead End and Brawl. One last sighting, courtesy of Cybertron.CA member Dark Rage, is the news that the Toys R Us Exclusive Masterpiece Thundercracker is now available at Canadian retail. Special thanks to Cybertron.CA staff member Cheers Ian for the heads up on these stories. |

A few days ago thanks to two eBay listings we saw our first in-hand images of the upcoming Asian Market exclusive Generations Leader Class toys, however the only pictures available in those auctions were of the vehicle modes, leading quite a few of you to wonder what the toys look like in robot mode.
Well wonder no more, as thanks to TFW2005 boards member Mondo we now have some in-hand photos of the robot modes of these two toys, as well as a look at their packaging. These toys are Asian Market exclusives under the Generations "GDO" line, and are Generation One redecos of the Leader Class Ironhide (from the Dark of the Moon toyline) and Starscream (from the Hunt for the Decepticons toyline.) |

The Transformers Legends Facebook page has updated with new images showcasing six pieces of art from the upcoming cell phone game by ngmoco. These pieces of art showcase Razorclaw, Megatron and Warpath as envisaged by the developer - and while Razorclaw and Warpath stick very close to their Generation 1 and Classics selves respectively, Megatron features a slick updated design with a classic Generation 1 robot mode and a tank alternate mode. All in all, the artwork looks incredible - here's hoping the gameplay will match, and for some information on that, check out our previous news coverage.
