As with the original release of these molds, they are designed to be compatible with the various versions of the Energon Bruticus Maximus mold, with perfect timing for the upcoming Asian-Market Exclusive reissue of the Revenge of the Fallen Bruticus set. At this time there is no word regarding when these toys will be released, or what the pricing will be.

Chalk this up as a possibility with a strong foundation behind it right now - Planet Iacon have shared an image showing artwork of all six of the Classics Decepticon Seekers charging into battle together. They claim this is for an "upcoming GDO Seekers set" and sure enough, if you look at the top of the image, there is a tag for Transformers Asia, the official page for the GDO / Asia exclusive releases. If this pans out and the six Seekers all get a new release - either reissued in a set or in new decos - this will be good news for those who missed out on the whole set the first go round.
Keep it TFW for more information. |

Word reaches us of another pair of new Masterpiece Transformers series releases! Online retailers have been getting solicits for a lot more than just what we were able to reveal to you yesterday, with two more Masterpiece releases in the pipeline. These are:
Masterpiece MP-10B Black Convoy - finally confirmed, this is the silhoetted Optimus Prime recolor seen in some Japanese magazine scans. According to information coming at us via our sponsors TFSource this one is coming out in March 2013 and will not include Roller or the trailer. Masterpiece MP-16 Frenzy & Buzzsaw - MP-16 will be another cassette two pack for Masterpiece Soundwave! MP-15 is as we were able to confirm yesterday Ravage and Rumble, we can now confirm that Frenzy (the blue one) and Buzzsaw will be sold as a second two pack. Estimates from our sponsors also indicate that you can expect these, along with the MP-15 set, in March 2013. There's some disagreement though over whether Rumble is red or blue - but according to a leaked solicitation document posted by the "NAUGHTY GUY" Facebook page and Tempting Collectibles Facebook page Takara-Tomy is going with the original toy naming, making Rumble the red one and Frenzy the blue one. Until something official is posted, this is probably the closest we will get to an official word on the names. All of these, plus those that were revealed yesterday, are up for preorder on TFSource as well as on Big Bad Toy Store, and will be soon at Tempting Collectibles. |

Forever Geek has shared a couple more stills from this Friday's all-new Transformers Prime, Hard Knocks. These stills show scenes we saw in the preview clip yesterday - Dreadwing looming ominously, like a vast predatory bird, and the second shows Dreadwing flying away as the smoke rises from his trap! Check them out - then check out Hard Knocks this Friday at 7pm ET on The Hub.

The good news just keeps on coming this week, as thanks to TFW2005 boards members trdkamuri51o and Rubicon we have our first sighting of the Transformers: Prime Entertainment Pack from two Toys R Us locations in California. This toy marks the beginning of the Transformers: Prime First Edition rerelease that was announced at San Diego Comic Con, and until now this particular set had not yet seen a retail release in the United States.
Could the rest of First Edition be far behind? An easy way to find out is to swing on by TFW2005's Sightings subforum to share your recent findings with your fellow Transformers fans, and check out what else is available in your area. |

On their Twitter account IDW has announced a future upcoming crossover in their Transformers comics line. IDW has given us Transformers VS zombies in Infestation and Transformers VS Lovecraftian horrors in Infestation 2 - and now they are following that up with Mars Attacks The Transformers! The aliens from the cult classic alien invasion trading card story from Topps in 1962 (and its various follow ons, including the 1996 Tim Burton movie) attack Cybertron on January 23rd 2013! This is one upcoming project to look forward to coming next year from IDW!

By way of Zap2it, we have the title of the season finale of Transformers Prime Season 2. It's been an interesting journey getting to this point, and on 2 November 2012, Season 2 of Transformers Prime will end with the Darkest Hour! Yes, the season ends with an episode titled for another famous quote from Transformers lore. There is no description up - yet - but it's an ominous portent for what lies ahead.
We've got four more episodes of Transformers Prime to enjoy between now and then - listed below for your convenience - including the new episode Hard Knocks tonight then further new episodes every Friday between now and 2 November 2012, when we will witness Transformers Prime's Darkest Hour (and then the slightly less dark hours of the wait for season 3 to begin airing!) Newsarama have posted up an interview with IDW Publishing's John Barber, editor of the Transformers comics for IDW and writer of the Cybertron-based ongoing series More than Meets the Eye. This interview talks a bit about the current issues and the ongoing plots coming out of them and teases for issue #10 of Robots in Disguise - due out next Wednesday, October 10. There's also a brief promise of what we can expect from year two of the ongoing Transformers comics. According to John Barber issue 15 is the one to watch; it being the culmination of the story that began with issue 1. Issue 15 brings answers, characters falling, revelations and a return. In John's own words, it's a different landscape, come issue 16.

How is this for an entertaining new little oddity? Via an Ebay auction we have a look at a new Kreon in the Transformers Kre-O line. This "Energon Bumblebee" Kreon is done entirely in translucent blue plastic, and comes in its own special little window box with an outer sleeve. The style of it is a little reminiscent to the Matrix Optimus Prime Kreons available last year - could this be a new promotional giveaway which has leaked onto Ebay early?

AT&T's U-Verse listings have updated with a longer tagline description for the 50th episode of Transformers Prime, Patch. The extended description makes it sound as though we are going to see a healthy amount of screentime for the three main players in the Decepticon forces - Megatron, Streascream and Dreadwing. Highlight the text below to view:
In an effort to secure a peaceful truce that would be beneficial to all parties involved, Starscream offers Megatron a ceasefire but Dreadwing has other ideas and does whatever he can to keep the diplomatic agreement from taking place. |

Proper images have also been released of the Silverbolt figure aka SR-71 Blackbird, indicating the engines are an optional detachable booster backpack. Additionally the nose of the jet mode detaches and transforms in a rather impressive fashion to form the figure's gun. Check out the new images after the break. |

We've got something of a treat for you now, because it is not every day we get to share a gallery of the first character in an all-new faction with you! In this gallery update we have Transformers Prime Voyager Class Thundertron, leader (and so far only official member) of the new faction of Star Seekers, introduced in the Transformers Exodus novel.
Thundertron truly is a unique character. Design wise, he is chock full of molded details, a far cry from the typically "cleaner" design aesthetic of the Transformers Prime designs. He's also the first true beast we've had in a good long while, and to top it all off, he's an all-new character - not a homage or an obscure but existing character getting a toy for the first time. Also, he's a space-pirate robot with a peg leg. Arrrrr. The toy himself is an excellent design. The beast mode is convincing, with more of a techno-animal feel to it than a Beast Wars one, while the robot mode has some good poseability and excellent balance, even with the peg leg! Design wise though, while he fits in with the other Prime toys, Thundertron blurs the line enough to look good with toys from other lines as well - which is good, given that three out of the four other named Star Seekers can be repurposed from other toys, and the four look pretty decent together. All in all, well recommended. Thundertron is a good and fun toy, worthy of a purchase once he hits retail along with his wavemate Ultra Magnus. Open the link below to check out the gallery to see more of Thundertron and decide for yourself! Transformers Prime Star Seeker Thundertron Gallery |
