First, there were the Kreons. Lego minifigure sized versions of the Transformers you know and love. Then through Family Mart there came 2x sized Kreons, whose heads detached to reveal a stylus or who acted as pocket flashlights. Now once again by Family Mart there comes the Jumbo Kreons - giant versions of those little guys complete with built in USB hubs! Shown here is an Optimus Prime Jumbo Kreon alongside the oversize Kreon Megatron and a regular Kreon Optimus Prime. We're not sure if these are official releases for the Asian / Korean market or just knockoffs but they're pretty awesome oddities all the same.

The Hub has released three promotional stills of tomorrow's all-new Transformers Prime episode, Patch. In these stills we have Knock Out in his medbay, Starscream grovelling and Dreadwing brooding in an atmospheric rainstorm atop the Decepticon warship. The scene is set for another excellent episode of Transformers Prime as the road to the season finale continues! Tune in to The Hub tomorrow at 7pm ET to check it out!

Things are heating up as Michael Bay replies back to Hugo Weaving regarding his statement on voice acting for Megatron.
It is said that the director has posted on his official website, but the post Collider pointing to is missing. However, Collider has posted a copy of the statement by Mr. Bay: "Do you ever get sick of actors that make $15 million a picture, or even $200,000 for voiceover work that took a brisk one hour and 43 minutes to complete, and then complain about their jobs? With all the problems facing our world today, do these grumbling thespians really think people reading the news actually care about trivial complaints that their job wasn’t ‘artistic enough” or “fulfilling enough”? I guess The Hollywood Reporter thinks so. What happened to people who had integrity, who did a job, got paid for their hard work, and just smiled afterward? Be happy you even have a job – let alone a job that pays you more than 98% of the people in America. I have a wonderful idea for all those whiners: They can give their “unhappy job money” to a wonderful Elephant Rescue. It’s the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Africa. I will match the funds they donate." This may look like drama, but last time when this kind of thing happened (*cough*Megan Fox*cough*) we ended up with a new character. Which means we could end up with no Megatron or have Galvatron instead (or somebody else voicing Megatron). What do you think? Let your voice heard over at the Discussion Thread. Here is something extremely unexpected - it seems that the spirit of the Transformers Disney Label subline is being carried on by Bandai & Tamashii Nations - and that they are bringing it back with a combiner. This Japanese magazine scan, which we saw posted on Facebook by Autobase Aichi, shows mecha versions of Micky Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto merging into a single robot mode. The mecha share a few design cues with the original Disney label versions of the characters. By appearances, Goofy and Pluto are forming legs, Donald and Daisy the arms, Micky the chest and Minnie we're not entirely sure. The head is even formed by Steamboat Willie, from the first Micky Mouse cartoon!
We've since had confirmation, by way of the Cybergundam blog, that this is a Bandai / Tamashii Nations release rather than a new Disney Label item. |

Some additional information has been posted up about the upcoming Transformers GT series. We'd previously heard that Transformers GT would consist of the Alternity GTR Convoy remolded as the new Super GT. What we can now reveal is that there are four different Super GT Convoy, or Optimus Prime, variants in the works for this series. Check out the picture at left, shared with us by 2005 Boards member DrillBIT by way of Planet Iacon. The four cars pictured are the four variations - the red at top left is Convoy / Optimus Prime, the black one Black Convoy / Nemesis Prime, the blue and white one is Ultra Magnus, and the yellow one, making his debut as a non-convention exclusive, is said to be Toxitron!
Check out the picture of the four at left - and stay tuned for more information as Transformers GT is due to be exhibited this weekend in Japan at Dengeki's 20th anniversary festival at Makuhari Messe convention centre. |

A reminder dear friends that tonight is the airing of episode 50 of Transformers Prime. The episode is called "Patch" and it's looking like a Decepticon centric story delving into the relationship between Megatron, Starscream and Dreadwing - with a decent helping of Knock Out so his fans don't feel left out either! Tune in to The Hub at 7pm ET to check it out, then share your thoughts in our episode discussion thread!

By way of the Takara-Tomy Facebook page and the Twitter account of @ToYz80 we've got a look at the real lineup for the Takara-Tomy Transformers GT series (ignore our post from yesterday, that particular lineup was apparently fake).
Shown off at Dengeki's 20th anniversary festival at Makuhari Messe convention centre are three variants on the remolded Alternity Convoy body type - one as Convoy / Optimus Prime himself, with a green and white version shown representing a Fortress Maximus Super GT and a Star Saber Super GT in blue. The names are apparently GT-R Prime, GT-R Maximus and GT-R Saber respectively. Check out the images of Saber and Maximus by reading on with this story. There's also three girls pictured in the colors of the three robots - we're not sure if these are meant to be driver / partner figures a la the Binaltech Asterisk / Human Alliance series or merely a part of the series marketing and backstory. |

Autobase Aichi on Facebook has posted some new photos of one of the displays at the Dengeki 20th Anniversary Festival. The store exclusives display case showcases the recently released Arms Micron Thundercracker and Orion Pax, alongside a toy not previously confirmed for a Japanese release, Weaponizer Bumblebee.
On show in these pictures, Weaponizer Bumblebee is pictured with the blaster accessory from his US release in addition to the Japanese Arms Micron B.2., which has come with previous releases of Bumblebee in Japan. The toy does not seem to have any additional hardpoints molded on to attach Arms Microns compared to those already there on the US release. The toy's deco seems to be a lot shinier, like the shiny paints used on the Japanese release of Transformers Animated Bumblebee. Given this is on display with other store exclusive releases from the Transformers Prime line, it is possible that this is a store exclusive release. We've not got any details one way or the other yet, so stay tuned for more news as it becomes available. |

2005 Boards member Masabon has shared with us a selection of in-hand images of the Japanese store exclusive release, Arms Micron Thundercracker. Thundercracker like Skywarp is a recolored version of Fire Edition Starscream, and like Skywarp comes with the Arms Micron Baro. On this release though Baro is a silver chrome version to denote his exclusive nature. Check out all the images attached to this story.

By way of 2005 Boards member dare and the ToYz80 twitter account, we now have a look at the Transformers display from the Dengeki 20th Anniversary Festival. On show here are amongst others, the next Masterpiece Transformers releases including the Masterpiece cassettes, the next series of Transformers Prime Gashapon (Wave 3), plus the Japanese Transformers Generations line in all its shiny glory.
More information also emerges on the Transformers GT series - the latest information indicates it is potentially a Toy Hobby Market exclusive, like the previous Alternity Galvatron and Banzai-Tron, hence the higher price on these releases. |

Alfes2000 has uploaded a gallery of the other Japanese store exclusive Transformer that has recently been released, Orion Pax. Marking the first-ever release of the Deluxe class First Edition mold in Japan, Orion does not feature the "mouthless" head, and is essentially a release of the Deluxe toy in more muted colors than the US one - just how much more muted can be appreciated when you see this side by side with the toy released in the US, particularly on the blue parts.
Orion Pax also comes with a gold chrome version of Ratchet's R.A. Arms Micron, a nice inclusion which looks very shiny but has no real story connection with Orion Pax. Check out the full gallery here. |

Casting website Mandy.com has put out a casting call for Transformers 4, containing similar information to previous casting calls, with one additional detail - a filming location is given. According to the details they have posted, Transformers 4 will film at various overseas locations including London! Yes, in 2012 London hosted the Olympics, and in 2013 it will play host to Michael Bay shooting the fourth Transformers movie. It might not be on the same level but it is certainly going to be interesting to see how it plays out.
Keep it TFW for more Transformers 4 news. |

Autobase Aichi has posted some additional information on the Transformers GT Alternity series. They have confirmed what was previously speculated about the toys having new weapons - GT Prime has an Optimus Prime rifle which transforms into an impact wrench, while GT Star Saber has his signature Saber Blade, which transforms into a refueling machine.
Release details have also been revealed by Autobase Aichi. The first two releases in the series will be GT Prime and GT Saber in March 2013. GT Maximus, the third Fortress Maximus version, is as yet unconfirmed. |
