Our fellow fans over at The Allspark have translated the next chapter of the Transformers United EX story. Chapter four is titled "Weapons of a New Generation" and comes with the Autobot Racemaster. The story chapter depicts a battle between the super-fast young Autobot and the Decepticon Combatmaster, previously revealed to be a reincarnated Decepticon Onslaught.

As with the previous chapters, the identities of the new characters - who are all going by codenames - is not fully spelled out. But hints are given - and reading the hints suggests that Racemaster is the Generation 2 Autobot, Rapido! Racemaster, like Rapido, is blessed with enhanced speed but also the ability to think calmly and clearly when moving at those high speeds. He's a new Autobot with great potential for future leadership (as seen by Rapido's G2 toy outranking Optimus Prime) and a penchant for slipping Spanish into his dialog. The title of the story, implying Racemaster is a part of a new generation (or "next / second generation") is the icing on the cake.

Click here to view the full translation of the story chapter over at The Allspark.

By way of a Japanese image board we have a look at the November edition Japanese Hobby magazine scans. These pictures show a lot of Takara-Tomy's upcoming Transformers figures releases including the Masterpieces and November releases in the United EX and Prime Arms Micron lines.

Kicking off with the Transformers Prime news, there is our first look at Arms Micron Smokescreen, who is a white Knock Out retooled with a spoiler and probasbly a new head. He's not particularly show accurate but right now he's the only mainline Smokescreen toy out there. The Arms Micron Nemesis Prime and CyLAS Breakdown are also shown, black recolors of Arms Micron Optimus Prime and War Breakdown respectively. There's also a box out for the Transformers Prime Lucky Draws including the chrome First Edition Arcee, golden Arms Micron Optimus Prime and golden Hades (Darkness Megatron's bat Micron) plus two more previously unseen Arms Microns which we assume are to be runner-up prizes in a future campaign draw - a translucent blue plastic version of Bumblebee's B.2. and a similarly translucent blue version of Knock Out's Arms Micron crab Gra. Japan's release of Weaponizer Bumblebee with its own gray plastic B.2. plus the EZ Collection Autobot and Decepticon team sets round out the coverage on Prime toys.

On the United EX front, there is a fresh look at the third and so far final assortment of toys, including the Devastator colored Steamhammer Builder Master, the Autobot black Huffer / Crankcase recolor Assault Master, and the two pack of Tank Master and Marine Master.

In addition to all of this there is some coverage of the upcoming Masterpiece releases including the cassettes, Soundwave, Sideswipe and Red Alert, the Encore reissue Fortress Maximus and Devastator Animation Version, plus in a small boxout there is extra coverage of the Japanese Transformers Generations Fall of Cybertron releases.

Hey all! It's been a while since we frontpaged an update on our Transformers Resources section but our team has been hard at work behind the scenes keeping things up to date. We've got a few exciting things we've been working on lately that we wanted to share with you, following on from the New York Comic Con last week:

- Our Transformers Prime section has been updated to include a new sub-section for the rebranded "Beast Hunters" subline taking over next year. We've also added a section for the Predacons to the Transformers Prime Cyberverse section.

- A large - and much requested - update has been made to our Transformers Kre-O section! The Kre-O section is now divided into two sections - one for the main Kre-O Construction Sets, and one for the Kreons! But that's not all - we have also added entries for every single Kreon released in the line so far! If they are single packs or if they were released as a part of the larger construction sets, they are all listed here. You can even see what else was included in the same set by clicking on the name of the set next to "Multipack"!

- We have added a new section for the upcoming Japanese release of the Transformers Generations toy line! As new toys are revealed we will be updating this with more details and entries, so check back often!

- Last but by no means least, we have done a little housekeeping on our Transformers Generation 2 and Hasbro Commemorative Reissues sections. Transformers Generation 2 has now been updated with an extra category to cover the toys that were never released, while the Hasbro Commemorative Reissues section has been overhauled to bring together the other lines of reissues Hasbro has done over the years, including the Fun4All keychains, the Universe 2.0 Reissues and all the other modern reissues! It's now the hub for all Hasbro release reissue Transformers!

That's all for now, but we've got a few other projects going on for Resources that I am very excited about and cannot wait to share with you once they are ready!

Here we are with TFW2005 Coverage of Hasbro 2012 3rd Quarter Earnings Conference Call.

Unfortunately, no major future plans were told about our beloved franchise, unlike last time. The reason for this may have been NYCC 2012 where Hasbro revealed much of their 2013 plans. Profits are down 4% last quarter and Hasbro wishes to return the “U.S. & Canada segment” to historical operating profit margins in the coming year. You can read all about this thanks to the Press Release our 2005 Boards member Hot Shot sharing with us.

However, there are things not written in black and white… things that may not look that big nor create a heavy impact. However, these little things matter to us; The Fans. What was said at the call might potentially impact the current Transformers Animation Series; Transformers: Prime. What is it? Find out, after the jump.

Here is an oddity for you - the cool Transformers Prime Arms Micron Capsule Toys series just might be seeing them light of day outside of Japan. A recent catalog update (PDF link) for UK retailer Esdevium Games - distributor of hobby products including board games, collectible card games and other goodies - included on its final page under toys and collectibles a listing for "Transformers Figure Packet", showing a picture of the Arms Micron capsule toy Optimus Prime and a previously unseen blindbag packaging featuring the Transformers Prime logo and pictures of the six toys in the first assortment of Transformers Prime Capsule Toys.

This would seem to indicate that at the very least the UK might be getting the first series of Arms Micron Capsule Toys at retail, marking the first release of these toys outside of Japan. However, Hasbro UK has stated they have no plans to release these items, creating some confusion. Although if you read into the product codes, you can see the first three letters on the page correspond to the manufacturer (TOP = Topps, for example). These are listed as TOM - possible shorthand for Tomy? Stranger things have happened - ultimately until we have a confirmed purchase at retail in the UK or elsewhere, this is only a possible release, but it seems likely given the popularity of blind-packed impulse buy items at the checkouts in UK supermarkets.

It's time for the hunt to begin again for Canadian Transformers fans! Thanks to TFW2005 and Cybertron.CA boards member Cheers Ian, we now have a sighting of Fall of Cybertron/Generations Wave 2 Deluxes in Canada! This wave, which includes the retail release of the Fall of Cybertron Combaticons, was sighted at a Walmart in Ontario. Collecting all five of the Combaticons allows you to BUILD GIANT ROBOT (As per the packaging's command) to form Bruticus.

Have any sightings you'd like to share with your fellow Transformers fans? Swing on by TFW2005's sightings subforum. Or, if you are a Canadian Transformers fan, swing on by Cybertron.CA's sightings subforum.

Feel it! Feel it! Comingsoon.net has posted an article stating that actor Mark Wahlberg (Ted, The Happening, The Other Guys) has been in talks with Transformers 4 director Michael Bay about possibly starring in the next installment of our beloved franchise. The article goes onto state this as a distinct possibility, as the two have just come off working together on the upcoming film Pain and Gain. Director Michael Bay was quick to reply to this news, posting on his website: "The Mark Wahlberg T4 rumor is just a rumor. Mark and I are talking about another film project". Bay is quick to not confirm or deny the rumor.

Interesting side not to this story; Mark sings Stan Bush's power rock song from the 1986 Transformers film, "You Got The Touch" in 1997's Boogie Nights.

The Transformers Facebook page has updated with an interview with the writers of the upcoming Transformers Rage of the Dinobots comic book mini-series coming next month from IDW publishing. Writers for the Transformers Prime television show, Mike Johnson and Mairghread Scott, will be writing this new series and in the case of Mairghread, this is the first time a woman has written a Transformers Comic.

Most interesting part of this article, there are many tidbits regarding how this book will be foreshadowing the upcoming third season of Transformers Prime. More evidence suggesting the Dinobots will show up on the Hub? You decide.

You can read the full interview by clicking the link above or clicking on the title bar. Also attached is our first look at artist Nick Roche's retailer incentive cover!

Takara-Tomy have updated their Transformers site with a whole lot of new entries, covering the new releases for November 2012. Among the other new items on the site we have:

AM-24 CyLAS Breakdown
AM-25 Nemesis Prime
AM-26 Smokescreen
EZ-SP1 Autobots Set
EZ-SP2 Decepticons Set

Gatling Bumblebee - aka the Japanese release of Weaponizer Bumblebee. According to the page, it will be a Toys R Us Japan exclusive, releasing in November 2012.
Clear blue versions of Arms Microns Gra and B.2. - according to the page, these are the November promotional giveaway Microns and not Lucky Draws as we first speculated. B.2. will be available with a purchase of 3,000 yen on Arms Micron toys, while Gra will be available to those who purchase Arms Master Optimus Prime at the participating store. Gra is due to release on 13 November and B.2. on 17 November.
Lucky Draw First Edition Arcee blue chrome version

Each page has new and official pictures of these items, the first real proper look at many of them. E-Hobby has also updated with slightly larger (but watermarked) pictures of each release. Click on the respective links above to check out the listings on the official Takara-Tomy site.

For those of you who have eagerly been awaiting the release of MP-12 Lambor, the wait will soon be over! While expected to arrive in stores in Hong Kong this weekend, it has actually turned up early in some areas as 2005 boards member Star Saber was able to get his hands on one!

In addition, Star Saber has already posted up a MP-12 Lambor pictorial review!

Transformers Asia has updated with details of the second of the two giftsets of Decepticon seekers which are going to be exclusive to the Asian / Chinese market. The first set was the Seeker Set Ace, containing the original trio of Starscream, Skywarp and Thundercracker - this second set confirmed today will be the Seeker Set Elite and it will contain redecos of Classics versions of the other three Seekers - Thrust, Dirge and Ramjet. With this set for the first time since 1985 all six members of the Decepticon airforce are collected in a single line with a single consistent aesthetic and deco style! However the rub is these like the Seeker Set Ace are China exclusive so they will command a higher price on the secondary market. They are due for a release in December.

Of interest also is that on the announcement the set name is given as "Deluxe Seeker Set Elite" in English, but "Dogfight Set" in Japanese.

A clip has been posted for this Friday's all-new epsiode of Transformers Prime, Regeneration! It's the eve of the final battle for the fate of Cybertron, and Megatron has accepted his treacherous former lieutenant Starscream back into the ranks - but not all the Decepticons are pleased to see Starscream back and would rather greet him with weapons drawn than outstretched arms! Check out the clip embedded below, then check out the all-new episode this Friday at 7pm ET on The Hub!

Robot Kingdom has posted up some in-package images of Prime Arms Micron Wheeljack and Dreadwing, which have just recently been released in Japan. There's not a whole lot else to see with these, as Dreadwing is largely the same as his US release - only his wing stripes are stickers, the rest is painted / tampo'ed details. Wheeljack got a couple more ports added to his design for attaching Arms Microns to, and almost all his paint details are now stickers, leaving the base robot pure white. The box backs show a couple of new Arms Micron combo weapons - Wheeljack tries to out-sword Road Caesar in the "stick three swords together to make a bigger sword" department, while Dreadwing combines his own Arms Micron with those of Knock Out and Airachnid to form a truly monstrous giant bazooka cannon.

Comicosity has posted a brief but informative interview with IDW's Transformers story editor and writer of the Robots in Disguise ongoing John Barber. The interview focuses mostly on story goings on - the process of creating the story and hints of where things are going next.

But that's not all! There are a couple of pages from the upcoming Robots in Disguise #11 included with the interview including a soon-to-be-classic look at the inside of Starscream's quarters on Cybertron. Check out some of the homages and references hidden in there including a model of Starscream's classic Generation 1 jet mode!

Read the interview and check out the full range of artwork on Comicosity.
