Our sponsors Big Bad Toy Store have updated with preorders for new runs of three more Generation 1 Commemorative series releases. Originally offered nearly 10 years back now, these three are we assume the next items to be reissued once more for the burgeoning Asian market interest in Transformers.
The three getting new reissues this time out are: Astrotrain Ultra Magnus Powermaster Optimus Prime with Apex Armor, aka Super Ginrai with Godbomber. |

Hey! Are you looking to add some minions to your Transformers Prime Soundwave? Good thing fans like us have a third party group like X2Toys/SGC who have a new set of unofficial Laserbeak and Ratbat minions coming out. In a bit of overlooked news, Meteor Operations Facebook page updated recently with a nice gallery, via ACToys, of this upcoming upgrade kit along with in package pics. This kit will be available in two colored sets. One will be chrome, the other traditional colors.
Want to see the whole progression? Click the title bar to visit the thread and see the original teaser, prototype pics and links to a review. |

Amazon Japan has updated their listings for next month's new Transformers Prime Arms Micron series releases - Smokescreen, Silas Breakdown and Nemesis Prime - with some higher resolution images than the ones previously posted, and also there are a few new ones for each page showing off some different configurations of each toy. Of particular note are the new images of Silas Breakdown, which shows a little molded Silas in the torso of Breakdown, just like in the show! Check out the links above to see the images, which we've also mirrored on this post.

Japanese retailer Amiami has updated their listing for the upcoming sixth wave of Kabaya Transformers Gun - the Transformers Zone themed assortment - with new images of the three finished kits in the wave. Seen here are Dai Atlas, Sonic Bomber and Road Fire fully assembled and stickered, and they look great! All three are looking on a course to being great small-scale representations of the original toys, a great way to own the three without breaking the bank.

Thanks to an interview with the The Los Angeles Times, we now have an interview with Transformers: Prime Executive Producer Jeff Kline, where he talks about the future of the series, Micheal Bay, and the rise of Beast Hunters. Check out a quick snippet below, and click here to read the full interview.
"As anybody who’s been watching the show knows, we tend to get bigger and bigger and paint ourselves into corners. So the end of Season 2 will paint us into a corner and hopefully you’ll be surprised at how we get ourselves out of it. For Season 3, we’re actually bringing Beasts into the story, which is a big game-changers. Not necessarily “Beast Wars” way or “Dino-bots” but Beasts, which are part of the Transformers lore. For us, it’s important to be able to justify that previous lore within our own continuity. One of the big things for us is the idea that Earth and Cybertron have been interrelated for eons. The Unicron arc played with that quite a bit. But Season 3 will be even more about how Earth and Cybertron are brother, or twin, planets in some way. And, as we’ve been doing for two seasons, allegiances will change, good guys and bad guys will switch sides, new elements will be brought in and old elements will be sent away. We try to change it up because we always want our Autobots at a disadvantage. From the very beginning, there have always been fewer Autobots than Decepticons, they’re technologically disadvantaged. We’ll continue to try to stack the deck against them." |

It's time yet again, Transformers Prime collectors! While the future offerings of the rest of the line seem to have tapered off until the release of Beast Hunters, there is something new out there, as proven by TFW2005 Boards member jovic999 who has found Voyager/Powerizer Ultra Magnus and Thundertron at a Target in Oregon!

Last month saw the release of two Japan-only entries into the Transformers Prime line, and today we're bringing you a gallery of the first of these two Japan only releases - Gaia Unicron!
Season 1 of Transformers Prime ended, as many of you already know, with the awakening of the Chaos Bringer on the Autobot's adopted homeworld, forming avatars of himself from the rocks and mountains of Earth to face them. This toy recreates the look of the robot mode and has some nice rocky texturing. His poseability is a little on the limited side because of the design, but thanks to the massive horns on the shoulders and skeletal wings, Unicron has a real presence about him. Gaia Unicron's alternate mode is a bit odd, and it's not 100% clear exactly what it is meant to be - but stand it on end and you get a nice mountain with Unicron's face in it, recalling the scene where Megatron spoke with Unicron in One Shall Rise Part 1. There's also the Gaia Armor mode, which lets Unicron merge with Optimus Prime or Megatron. It's random and you'll either love it or hate it. But it's a bit of fun extra functionality all the same. Gaia Unicron comes with the Arms Micron Bog or Bogu, depending on your translation, a rocky little mole tank that forms Unicron's hook arm for the complete show-accurate robot mode. There's plenty of Arms Micron sockets on all Unicron's modes, so plenty of scope for different weapon combinations if you've got a good stock of Arms Microns or other weapons with 5mm pegs. All in all, he's an odd design, quirky and all, but worth the price of entry because ultimately, this is the closest we'll get to a Unicron in the Prime toyline. Open the link below to see the full gallery showcasing all the different modes and featuring comparisons with other Unicrons and Prime toys of all sizes! Words reaches us from our fellow fans at Ozformers that the Fall of Cybertron Voyager class Soundwave and Soundblaster (who come with Laserbeak and Buzzsaw, respectively) have arrived at Australian retail.
With Soundwave and "New Soundwave" as he was known in the Star TV dub of The Headmasters now out at retail in Australia, it hopefully should not be too long before they reach store shelves in the US as well. Check out the full report over at the Ozformers. |

Here we have some news for you about a new Kre-O Kreon giveaway. It seems that Toys R Us are giving away a single packed version of the Generation 2 Devastator Kreon - previously only available as a part of their exclusive Autobot Assault Devastator set. We're not sure on the exact details of this release just yet - the original report from Jo Paulin on the Reprolabels group on Facebook only says "ask about it in store". But for those wanting this Kreon without having to drop nearly $100 on the larger set this is an ideal way of getting a G2 Devastator mini-figure.

Artist Ken Christiansen a.k.a BadflipKC of TFW2005 is treating us with the clean cover for Transformers: Prime - Rage Of The Dinobots Issue #3. He has uploaded the colored version as well as sketched versions of the said cover.
“Transformers Prime Shockwave, and..... Hmm. I don't think they've announced the actual name of this very shiny character yet. Overall, it's your basic two guys standing there pose. I liked the chance to get some lens flare in there, along with more molten slag, and the barrel rim of Shockwave's gun arm still red hot and smoking. Atmosphere, sparks, and distant burned out buildings tie it all together.” Visit his blog; The Bad Flip Productions for more info. You can appreciate more art from Mr. Christiansen over at his thread here at TFW2005. One more this, almost forgot... He'll be at the Long Beach Comic Con, Nov. 3rd and 4th, you can find Ken Christiansen at #1401, Ken Christiansen/Bad Flip Productions. Go and say "Hi" to this awesome artist. |

Let's give some major thanks and love to 2005 Boards member Razor24 tonight, friends. Why? Because he has shared with us a nice and very extensive look at the newly-released at Australian retail Fall of Cybertron Soundwave and Soundblaster! Razor24's pictures give us our first proper in-depth look at these first two Voyager releases in the Generations Fall of Cybertron line, with comparison pictures with the previous War for Cybertron Soundwave and other War and Fall of Cybertron toys. He's also shared with us some thoughts on the toys, key points being:
- Laserbeak and Buzzsaw have no feet, so they are in a permanent "belly flop" state. They also only have one eye on their heads in the style of the cyclopian Decepticon Arms Microns and Movie Ravage. - Soundwave and Soundblaster do not include the Generation 1 Optimus Prime blaster they were shown with in promotional shots, likely because it was costed out somewhere down the line. - Soundwave is a beast of a robot, towering over the rest of the War and Fall of Cybertron toys. If scale is a concern this one might be too big for you - but the trade-off is the ability to deploy the minion data disks. Read on to check out Razor24's full gallery of pictures which includes a detailed look at the transformation, plus all those lovely comparison shots. |

It may be a bit late this time around, but the TFW2005 Creative Spotlights are far from dead, as this week we are not only dipping into the Radicons a second time in a row, but rather an additional four times with a series of four customs by TFW2005 Boards member Cheetimus Prime.
Dubbed "Beast Wars Redux", Cheetimus Prime tackled the task of turning the Fall of Cybertron Wave 1 Deluxes (alongside one of the first ever Classics Transformers toys) to turn them into four beloved Beast Wars characters. We interviewed Cheetimus Prime regarding the creative process and inspiration behind these four custom pieces, which you can check after the jump, and for more photos of these four customs, check out the four threads below. Two new listings on the website of Japanese retailer Yodobashi Camera have revealed the existence of a pair of new Japanese store exclusives. The two new exclusives are Dark Guard Optimus Prime, set for a December 1st release, and Unicron Darkness, set for a release on 23 March 2013. No pictures are shown as yet but we assume these will be recolors of the existing Arms Micron Optimus Prime and Gaia Unicron toys. Both will be exclusive to Yodobashi Camera Akihabara (Tokyo) and Umeda (Osaka) stores.
