For those following our feed you'll see we just reported that the second assortment of Kre-O Microchangers (confusingly officially known as wave 1) has just been released in Singapore. These are blind-bagged so you'll need a bit of luck getting them all. Or you can use this handy identification guide provided to us by Griffin-of-oz and 0JazzMeister0.
On the back of each blind-bagged Kreon there is a red bar at the top of the packaging (12 to collect in the top-left, "2 in 1" graphic at top-right). Printed in the top right, between the peg-hole and "2 in 1" graphic is a number. That number matches up to the Kreon in the bag - check out the list below to see which one is which: 22981 40 - Singe (Turbomaster Scorch) 22981 41 - Inferno 22981 42 - Autobot Springer 22981 43 - Warpath 22981 44 - Quickslinger (Slingshot) 22981 45 - Rampage 22981 46 - Insecticon 22981 47 - Blast Off 22981 48 - Decepticon Hook 22981 49 - Dirge 22981 50 - Airachnid 22981 51 - Decepticon Bludgeon Like the first assortment, it is the last two numbers that are the important part. By using this, you can identify all the Kreons in the assortment and add them all to your collection without acquiring too many doubles. Also, check out Griffin's post over on Ozformers for some in-hand pictures of this assortment of Kre-O Microchangers. |

Good news, everyone! We have reports that the highly-anticipated Kre-O Micro Changers Wave 1 is out in Singapore. The official wave 1 includes Generation 1 characters like Quickslinger (Slingshot), Inferno and Hook, alongside other characters like Airachnid and Singe (Generation 2 Scorch!) This assortment is not to be confused with the "preview wave" currently out in the US which includes Galvatron and Waspinator.
With the assortment out in Singapore, hopefully they'll make it to the US in time for Christmas or if not, to give us all something to look forward to in 2013. |

It's time once again to share some new Transformers Toy gallery love with all of you! I've had quite an impressive little haul the last few days with loads of great toys I'm looking forward to sharing some pictures of with all of you. First up is Ultra Magnus from the Generations Fall of Cybertron series.
Ultra Magnus is a straight-up recolor of Optimus Prime, with a new head. He manages to buck the trend of being a "white Optimus" by being based on the armored Ultra Magnus, and amazingly thanks to the body type of the Fall of Cybertron Optimus Prime toy and a clever deco, he pulls it off. Everything - good and bad - about the Fall of Cybertron Optimus Prime toy is therefore naturally present in this toy. There's still a decent range of poseability, still some good movement in the legs allowing for some nice wide stances and action poses, and the new head retains the ability to look up and down as well as side to side. The stacks on the shoulders, which you flip down on Optimus Prime, are best left flipped up to distinguish the two designs (Ultra Magnus is packaged with them in the "up" position). Ultra Magnus includes Optimus Prime's original gun accessory and then goes one better with a decent sized sword accessory. The gun is unpainted, the sword meanwhile is fully painted (although thinly so and a little chipped in one or two spots on the red on mine). Ultra Magnus' arms though limit the amount of sword poses you can put him in a little. The sword in a cool move can also break down and combine with the gun to form a larger sword weapon (almost as long as Ultra Magnus is tall) which is very impressive, although the extra weight on the blade makes balancing an issue. The look of the two different sword configurations is suitably different so it does feel like the sword has transformed, rather than just got a bit longer. All in all, the inclusion of the new sword is a very welcome addition, and the new head sculpt looks excellent. Ultra Magnus won't do anything to change your mind if you did not like the initial Optimus Prime release of this mold, but he brings enough to the table in terms of new sculpting and new accessories to be worth considering. If you never got the original Fall of Cybertron Optimus Prime I would honestly recommend this toy instead - he makes for a great "pre-Earth" mode Ultra Magnus, his sword is very cool, and he has a very nicely realized deco. Venksta of Renderform has dropped by our 2005 Boards to let us know of a limited edition second run of the Renderform RFX Darkness Emperor kit - a custom kit capable of converting a Voyager class Transformers Prime Megatron into a Transformers Prime Galvatron. This garage kit was originally available for customisation classes, but due to demand a very limited run is being made available through Canadian online retailer Ages 3 and Up. Be aware this is an unpainted resin kit - you will need to paint it to add the finishing touches yourself.

Our fellow fans at The Allspark have posted a translation of the eighth chapter of the Transformers United EX story. Story chapter 8, Ocean Encounter, comes on the back of the Tankmaster VS Marinemaster box and returns the action to Grimmaster's battle where evidently he managed to triumph over the near-immortal Roadmaster. Tankmaster's arrival turns the tide of battle, and only the arrival of Marinemaster is able to save Grimmaster. The overall plot progresses as well with the beginnings of the High Regent's plot coming together, and the reveal that some within the Decepticons - like Tankmaster - do not follow him.
This chapter clears up the identity of Marinemaster, who as his design suggests, is the Generation 2 Autobot Manta Ray. Tankmaster is a bit harder to divine from the story chapter - the Allspark has it on good authority though that he is a new incarnation of Simon Furman's character Grindcore, from the IDW Revelations miniseries. Click here to check out the full translation at The Allspark. |

UK fans, it seems it is our turn for a Transformers Prime marathon on CN Too next weekend! Between 9am and 5pm GMT on Saturday and Sunday, CN Too will be airing episodes from the first two seasons of Transformers Prime (confusingly if listings are to be believed season 2 is airing on Saturday up until Triangulation, with the rest of Saturday filled out with mid-season 1 episodes, then season 1 from the start on Sunday).
There's a commercial running for the marathon, setting clips from Transformers Prime to Gangnam Style - check it out below: |

We've got another Transformers toy gallery to round out your weekend now. Today's new gallery, fresh from the Japanese Transformers Prime Arms Micron series, is the Deluxe Class Smokescreen!
Smokescreen is a remolded version of Transformers Prime Knock Out. This presents an immediate issue with show accuracy, because even with remolding, Smokescreen lacks a few design elements from his CG model on the show - the most notable being the door wings on his back. But let's not linger on the negatives - Smokescreen does manage to look different from Knock Out with his stickers, remolded rear end in vehicle mode and his new head. The head sculpt captures the character well - I'd have personally given him a smirk rather than a serious determined look - but it goes a good way to giving Smokescreen his own identity. The head is spot-on to the look of the character in the show. Stickers give Smokescreen the rest of his deco. Smokescreen comes with Arms Micron S2, a Micron with a slender and "ornate" look. He's only poseable in the arms, but that seems to be average for the Arms Microns. S2 turns into a high-tech bow weapon for Smokescreen, which I don't recall ever seeing used in the show - yet - but if you fold S2's "wings" in you get a laser weapon that looks like an arm cannon that Smokescreen might equip for battle. In any event, the option to make it into a "gun" or "bow" lends a bit of appeal to the character. Overall, Smokescreen is an alright release. If you disliked the design on Knock Out there is not a lot here that will change your mind, and the lack of show accuracy is a detractor. However it could be far worse, and as of the moment, this is the only Smokescreen toy available outside the upcoming Legends class in Beast Hunters. Check out the full gallery by opening the link below: Transformers Prime Arms Micron Smokescreen with S2 Gallery |

Last week the Transformers Collector's Club teased that they had an announcement to make and today the lid has been lifted on that reveal. Up for preorder now is the first "Transformers Collectors Club Magazine Collected Edition", collecting the first year's worth of Collectors Club magazines. Unlike the Balancing Act trade paperback which collected the first two years worth of comic strips, this volume presumably contains the magazines in their entirety, the comic strips, the profiles, the features and all the other content. This limited edition volume is priced at $19.99 and features a new cover by Robby Musso, and is available for preorder until 17 December 2012. Check out the preorder listing here.

Here is a bit of potentially good news for Europe-based Transformers fans - we just might be getting the preview wave of Transformers Kre-O Microchangers over here. 2005 Boards member Optimist Prime picked up some Microchangers belonging to the preview wave from Ebay recently and they came in multilingual packaging, similar to how their carded brethren are released in the UK and Europe. It is by no means a done deal yet - but the appearance of this assortment in multilingual packaging strongly suggests these will see the light of day somewhere in Europe.
The question of course is where? The fun part will be finding out the answer! |

Takara-Tomy have updated their site with final product pictures for the Arms Micron Series AMW-13 Advanced Star Saber and AMW-14 Gravity Planet Bow-Gun sets. The sets each contain five repackaged Microns from the regular Arms Micron series releases, and as the names suggest, the Microns can be combined into super-combo weapons. In fact the sets in all likelyhood will be able to form a variety of weapon configurations, and that will potentially be one of their main selling points.

Two weeks have passed, so that means it's time for another TFW2005 Creative Spotlight. With the recent American Thanksgiving holiday, a few of us (Namely me) may have been surprised that two weeks have passed since our last entry. So think of this week's TFW2005 Creative Spotlight as a bit of a filler entry, where we take a look at a few entries that have either been stored up in our queue of spotlights, or something a bit different than what we would normally spotlight.
Among the Radicon Spotlights that were once considered before unfortunately being piled into a massive backlog on things we wanted to cover were Spurt Reynolds and Wikkid's collaborative Masterpiece Skyfire, darktremere's Generation One take of Movie-verse Barricade, deliciouspeter's Longarm Prime and Jbarb78's take on a Generations Shockwave (based on the BotCon 2012 Custom Class figure.) While it hasn't been represented on the front page in some time, the Fan Art section does get it's share of love in the TFW2005 Spotlights from time to time. Lonewolf3D's Hi-Res Grimlock Render and grimmlock's TFP Springer are both definitely something special and you can check out their work by click on the links provided. (Bit of a warning on the Grimlock render, there are some MASSIVE images after the jump.) And to end it all this week we figured it's about time to share some love to TFW2005's two Transformers Photography threads and the community's great photographers inside the "Let's See Some Cool Stuff" and "Supah Cleah" threads. Special thanks to all of those that we have spotlighted today (either directly or indirectly) for their contributions to the TFW2005 community! We hope to see more of what the members here on TFW2005 can churn out week after week. Who knows, maybe you will be spotlighted yourself one of these days. |
