We have been hearing a bit about how Beast Hunters will be released in Japan as Transformers Go! with releases starting from G11 Hunter Optimus Prime (see previous news story, scan from that story at left). The question that this raised with many of us is "why G-11? Where is G01 through G10?"
Well, it seems online retailer Kapow Toys has posted a partial answer. Listings have been added for G-01 through G-04, and by all indications, these are new toys (G-04 we suspect may be an existing Predacon release since they are suspiciously absent from the Japanese listings so far with the exception of Predaking). The listings are: G01 Kenzan Samurai, a police car G02 Jinbu Samurai, a jet G03 Ganoh Samurai, a fire engine G04 Gaidora All four are set for a release in June. Details attached to G01 through G03 indicates that they can combine into three different larger robots - presumably this means that one of them forms the main robot and the remaining two the limbs. Gaidora we assume might be a Predacon, based on the fact that the name has a lot in common with a kaiju from Ultraman or Godzilla / Gojira. As for what these toys are - well friends, right now there are no pictures, so your guess is as good as ours. The fact that they are combiners means they aren't anything we have seen so far. Perhaps these might be somehow connected to the reported cartoon series being produced for China - or perhaps they are more new Japan-only toys. |

Transformers Prime is set to return to our screens on 22 March 2013 with the first episode of Beast Hunters. Now, thanks to Zap2it, we have the titles of the first three episodes of Beast Hunters and some one line descriptions - including a hint of a little bit of a cast shake-up.
Check out the titles listed below, and highlight the black text to read the spoiler-ish strapline summaries: 3/22/13 3-01 Darkmount, NV Optimus struggles to survive after the destruction of the Autobot base; the separated members of Team Prime try to reconnect. 3/29/13 3-02 Scattered The Autobots search for signs of each other; the Decepticons welcome someone new to their ranks; Wheeljack's win may lead to an Autobot defeat. 4/05/13 3-03 Prey A new Autobot arrives just as the Decepticons unleash the ultimate hunter. |

Not to be left out, we also have a couple of new images of the so far Japan-only Generations Skywarp to share with you. This staight-up redeco of Fall of Cybertron Starscream is a bit more on the purple end of the spectrum than most Skywarps - he has an interesting deco which is none the less still the epitome of "evil Decepticon". Check out the images attached to this story, which are coming at you via Toy Hobby Market.

Amazon Japan has also posted some high-res images of the Transformers GT Megatron and his Race Queen partner Noa. GT Megatron is looking sharp in silver, and you can check out his new head in these images as well for extra benefit. The one thing we don't get to see much of is Megatron's cannon - it's only present in the one image, with little insight into just how it is going to work. Regardless, check out the images attached to this story.

Did Transformers 4 Principal Photography begin secretly?
According to On Location Vacations (the very site which kept the Transformers fans informed of filming locations last time for Transformers: Dark of the Moon) it seems as though “Something’s” happening over at Raleigh Studios in Playa Vista, CA. This could very well be Pre-Production for the movie as well and therefore we must wait till an Official Source confirms it. |

Now for a UK sighting of a different variety. Rolling into Pubs across the UK in time for Saint Patrick's day is Transformers themed beer - yes, we've hit that point in tie-in products! Named "Hoptimus Prime" it is "brewed using only British hops and barley malts this beer exhibits a rich array of malt and traditional fruity hop flavours, complemented by a crisp dry finish. The unique flavour of Hoptimus Prime transforms as each individual ingredient combines to satisfy all of your hoppy needs."
It's a seasonal ale from the Robinson's Brewery on sale only through March and April. Check out more information on their website here, if you are a fan who enjoys a little drink down the local now and then. And remember, if you're drinking, let someone else roll out! |

According to a post at The Hollywood Reporter, Director Michael Bay has requested actor Josh Duhamel's presence at Transformers 4 in a Cameo Appearance.
Mr. Duhamel said... "[Michael] said he wants to put me in it someplace. I don’t know if he was just saying that because he had me on the phone and he felt obligated or what, but, you know what? I got to do three of those. It changed my career, it changed my life getting to be a part of something that big, so I’m grateful for even doing the first three of them." |

Let it never be said that the UK always misses out on the Transformers toylines - while it is true we get shortchanged most of the time on anything past about wave 3, once in a while there is a turn up for the books, and today is one of those days, because Transformers Prime Voyager Skyquake has been sighted in UK Toys R Us stores up and down the land. Skyquake was the last of the toyline to have not been released in the UK in some shape or form - with this the entire Transformers Prime toyline has made it to these shores. Skyquake is in US packaging complete with "The Hub" adverts, indicating this is import stock rather than Hasbro UK domestic releases. It follows the very limited release of Skyquake through Toys R Us in the US.

Back at Toy Fair 2013 we reported that the Generations Titan Class Metroplex would be accompanied by a smaller robot, based on his partner Scamper from the original Generation 1 Metroplex. Pictures of Scamper have been a well-kept secret, but as 2005 Boards member GaussGunner has highlighted, they were out there. A video of Toy Fair 2013 by shows the box of Metroplex, including a brief "blink and you'll miss it" of Scamper on the side. Scamper in this new version remains the high-tech futuristic black car, except now he has a bit more color to him than he did back in Generation 1. He's marketed as a "Legends" class figure, so he is potentially either a Cyberverse Legion or Commander in size.
Stay tuned to TFW for more news and eventually better images! |

We have some more information to pass along now regarding the new Transformers Go! line - specifically a little more information on the G04 Gaidora. As speculated, the new information that has come to light seems to confirm that Gaidora will be a redeco of Beast Hunters Lazerback. The listing, from Singapore site "The Falcon's Hanger", also suggests there will be a metallic deco.
The site also corroborates earlier reports that G01 through G03 (the three "Samurai" characters) will be combiners, capable of merging in three different forms. The information also suggests that G01 Kenzan Samurai will feature some level of light and sound features and will be priced more expensive than the others (about SG $30 more), but once again, no images are provided. |

Metrocon has just kicked off in British Columbia and 3rd party group Mastermind Creations is in attendance showing off new products. To celebrate, they've sent us an image of the 3rd figure in the Feral Cons (aka Predacons) project; R-04 Leo Dux! This figure is a homage to G1 Razorclaw and will form the torso of the massive Feral Rex. Additional details from Mastermind; this figure will come in at a staggering 8 inches tall and will be available 3rd quarter 2013.
Additionally, recently revealed on Mastermind Creations Facebook page is a color render of R-02 Talon, their unofficial Divebomb figure. You can check out both pictures by clicking the title bar and join in the discussion in our Feral Rex Mega Thread! |

Good friend of TFW2005, Ricky Brigante of Inside The Magic dropped by to let us in on the news that Transformers: The Ride Supply Vault at Universal Orlando is now officially open.
At the Supply Vault, Transformers fans can purchase all sorts of neat stuff including a small replica of the Allspark from Movie 1. Also, you might meet Optimus Prime and Bumblebee walk-around characters; who entertain the public. "Yesterday the large metal doors opened to the ride’s store, dubbed the “Supply Vault,” revealing hundreds of Transformers items now for sale in the park, including quite a few Universal Studios exclusives. And with the opening of the store, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee also emerged, meeting Universal Orlando day guests - and Optimus was even talking." "A few of the more unique items are a voice changer, All Spark projector, and plenty of T-shirts, along with an assortment of Transformers toys, including Evac, a main character developed for the ride." You can visit Inside The Magic for more information and lots of images. |

A TV Listing from a Singapore TV Channel reveals that Transformers: Prime Season 3 (re-branded as Transformers: Beast Hunters) is to air this March 15th.
According to the details shared by 2005 Boards Member kwweil, the first 4 episodes are to run back-to-back as a special TV Movie. This new information may possibly confirm what was told during the Toy Fair 2013. If what was previously heard is true, this is the Transformers: Beast Hunters TV Movie titled "Predacon Rising". Based on the description, it seems as though it is indeed the first 4 episodes of Transformers: Prime Season 3 tied together to make a movie. You can find the program details below. However, you may find the description, after the jump due to Spoiler reasons. Program Details:

It's time for a new Transformers toy gallery for you. In keeping with the impending return of Transformers Prime to our televisions with the premiere of Beast Hunters later this month, we have a look at another one of the Predacons for you. She's a lean, draconic Autobot hunting machine and her name is Ripclaw!
Beast Hunters Ripclaw is one of those "love or hate" toys, I feel. Her design is excellent, with nice detail on the wings and a brilliant shape to both modes that gives her a unique silhouette. Her weapon is a "syphon claw", in the style of a Spark Extractor from Beast Machines, and it is kind of cool, as the claws lock open and only snap shut when a button in the middle of the claw is pressed. The bad, though, is that Ripclaw is a bit lacking in the articulation department. She's got nice movement in the legs, but no bicep swivels, and her head is mostly limited to looking up and down, thanks to her collar in robot mode. Ripclaw's other main feature is her tail, which features a rubberized core. It can be locked into a C-shape or left unlocked to give it a little free movement. It is possible with this feature to put Ripclaw in some cool poses mimicking Ser-Ket from the Rage of the Dinobots miniseries, who shares Ripclaw's design. However, weight can become an issue with the tail in robot mode, making Ripclaw's legs occasionally give way. All in all though, Ripclaw is a fun toy with a very nice design. She's not for everyone, but what she does, she does well. Check out the gallery by opening the link below: Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Ripclaw |

Third Party Group Keith's Fantasy Club has unveiled their next project - a set of shoulder cannons for the Fall of Cybertron Optimus Prime / Ultra Magnus mold. Two versions are planned, a version color matched for each Autobot. The sets can form larger guns, or split down to make shoulder launchers and expansion parts for the shoulders of each Autobot.
They are expected to arrive sometime this month according to our sponsors Big Bad Toy Store, priced at $19.99 each. |

Courtesy of Ages Three and Up's Facebook page, we have our first look at final photos of Fansproject's re-release of their Munition and Explorer kits. This often delayed and highly anticipate re-release not only gives fans a chance to purchase these fantastic toys if they missed out the first time, but also gives us more Generation 1 paint jobs. Additionally, the combiner accessory pieces share different colors as well. No photos of the individual figures just yet, but this gives us our look at the combined form, Colossus.
Take a look at the pics and join the discussion after the jump. |

We recently had a chance to look at the reissue version of the BTS Toys trailer set. This new version of the BTS Toys trailer is matched for the United Black Optimus Prime, but if you do not have that particular toy it makes for a fine trailer for any other Nemesis Prime that you might have - if you have some trailer connector parts for it.
