A pair of galleries have surfaced over at Higekuma Toy blog showcasing the new Takara Generations Fall of Cybertron Soundwave figure. The galleries show the differences in this Soundwave from his US counterpart as well as offers comparisons to the War For Cybertron Deluxe figure. The biggest difference between the Takara and Hasbro versions is the shade of blue. The Takara version offers a much darker, richer blue with neon pink highlights, making the figure all that much more accurate to his video game appearance.
We've mirrored a selection of the photos for you to check out, click the title bar to see those. If you'd like to see the full galleries, click the links above. |

A little late on this one, but definitely worth taking a look at it if you've read the most recent issue of IDW's Transformers More Than Meets The Eye. James Roberts takes us behind the scenes for a look into the first few pages of issue number 15. Posted on the Transformers Facebook page, you can learn a little bit more about Pipes, Overlord and a plot that is happening, but we don't even know what it is yet! Have we got your attention?

Our sponsors TFSource have sent word of a new third-party accessory kit. The Guilty G-04 hunger set consists of a whopping 18 different weapons, including missile racks and nul-ray arm cannons, for the Classics Seekers. They are said to be color-matched for the Seeker Set Ace & Elite, though will potentially be a good match with just about any versions of the Seekers.
We've only got images of the accessories with Starscream so far, but they give a decent indication of what the rest of the set might be like. Check out the preorder listing here at TFSource. |

More third party news for you - Keith's Fantasy Club's next project has been announced via Big Bad Toy Store. Their next release is a set called "CST-03 & CTS-04 Boxbomber Set of B-Box & BirdBomber". B-Box and BirdBomber are unofficial updates to Beastbox and Squawktalk respectively, who will fit in Masterpiece Soundwave if their previous release Rhinohorn is any indication. The two cassettes are billed as retaining the twin cassette combiner gimmick that was the main draw of Beastbox and Squawktalk. They are due for a release in April.
Check out the original listing here on Big Bad Toy Store. |

Hisashi Yuki has tweeted out some images of the Encore 23 Fortress Maximus in box. For those unaware of just how massive the box on this toy is, these new images will give you an idea - along with a look at the box itself, which is a faithful reproduction of the Generation 1 Fortress Maximus box as it was on its original Japanese release.

Entertainment Earth has shared some new official images of the third wave of Generations Legends. Generations Legends Wave 3 features Optimus Prime and Bumblebee with Mini-con / Targetmaster partners Roller and Blazemaster, respectively. These new images are of the unphotoshopped variety, in comparison to the heavily tweaked images we saw following Toy Fair 2013. The best news is these are expected in April 2013 - if this holds up, these will be the first of the "30th anniversary series" Generations to make it to retail.

The most recent edition of Dengeki Hobby, the May issue, carried some nice updates about the Transformers GT line - and via Autobase Aichi who posted a summary of the Transformers content, we can share this news with you. First of all, the GT Maximus is confirmed for a release. The release date is to be announced, and he will come with a Race Queen named "Hiiro"
Second, the Legends Prowl redeco named Safety Prime (reported previously here) will also see a release. Safety Prime is to be given away to those who participate in "Super GT Kids Walk" event. The catch, though, is that only children under junior high school age can receive this figure, which will make him hard to get on the secondary market. |

IDW have released the previews for this week's new Transformers comic. This week's new release is Robots in Disguise #15! As Cybertron burns and the Decepticons led by a returned Megatron run riot, things seem at their bleakest. Megatron, Bumblebee, Metalhawk, Starscream and Prowl stand at the heart of it all - one will stand and the rest will fall in this, the culmination of the last year's worth of storytelling!
Check out the preview and then pick up the full issue this Wednesday! |

Previously teased in the form of artwork, we now have our first full look at the e-Hobby exclusive Magnificus figure. This repaint of Reveal The Shield Perceptor features a new head and a striking black, red and silver paint job. The deco is based on E-Hobby's previous exclusive which was a homage to the original Microman figure. What do you think? Will you shell out for this Japanese exclusive? Will he join the ranks of your Generations Decepticons as an evil clone of Perceptor (As seen in the Dreamwave comics)? Or will he be your Shattered Glass Perceptor?
Your only limit is your imagination. Click on the title bar to check out the pictures! |

Posting on Twitter, Nick Roche mentions that in April IDW's Transformers Spotlight Megatron one-shot will be getting a second printing - and as a part of the second print, it will get a new cover. No word on what it will look like as yet, but for fun, check out Nick Roche's mockup at left.

Hisashi Yuki has tweeted some more images of the Encore Fortress Maximus on his Twitter account. These new images show how the eye stickers are now factory applied, as well as the newly altered sticker sheet and foam tray. Encore Fortress Maximus is drawing closer to release - have you preordered yours yet? Or more importantly - have you worked out a suitable display spot for the largest vintage Transformer ever made?

A second tweet from the official Michael Bay twitter account has revealed that the lead actress of Transformers 4 has been cast. Acting alongside Mark Wahlberg and Jack Reynor will be Nicola Peltz, whose previous credits include the live action movie "The Last Airbender". While plot details so far have been kept under wraps, we assume this means Nicola will be playing the high school girl referenced in previous casting calls.

Michael Bay's official Twitter account has tweeted a confirmation that Transformers 4 will be filmed in 3D. This confirms what many of us probably already took for granted, after Dark of the Moon proved to be a veritable tour de force of what 3D can do; however to have it confirmed by the man himself is always reassuring.
