Not sure if Michael Bay is serious or playing a Transforming Alien Robot sized April Fools' Day Joke.
Official Website of Director Michael Bay has been updated with the following info: "Transformers 4, 5, & 6 will begin filming back to back starting June 2013. More details to follow." At this point, this newsie wouldn't be surprised to see "More details to follow" would simply be a message shouting "April Fools!!!" However, this is Michael Bay we are talking about. He could actually be telling the truth... guised as a prank. |

IDW has released the preview for this week's new Transformers comic release, Spotlight Trailcutter. Trailbreaker takes the centre stage in this issue that feels very much like a lost chapter of More than Meets the Eye (in fact, it is - it fits between issues #5 and #6 of the ongoing). Herein lies a tale of a reluctant force-field specialist being helped to reinvent himself by the surly ex-watchmaker and ex-Wrecker Whirl - including in this preview the story of how Trailbreaker came to be known in-universe as Trailcutter.
This preview comes at you via PreviewsWorld, with a couple of additional pages not in their preview posted by our fellow fans at Fullmetalhero. |

In a dual reveal/April Fools Joke, Mastermind Creations updated their Facebook page today with an image revealing the fully combined mode and color image of their Feral Rex project. This unofficial G1 Predaking figure is shown with a Predacon-themed Arcee on the shoulder. The Arcee was joked as the reveal of the sixth figure in the set (This sixth figure is heavily rumored to be an entirely different G1 character). Preorders for the first two Unofficial Predacons, Talon and Bovis, are expected to be released this quarter.
Check out the full image by clicking the title bar and then head over to the Feral Rex Mega Thread to discuss! |

Transformers artist Livio Ramondelli has updated his DeviantArt account with the cover for Transformers Monstrosity issue 4. The book is due for release via comixology next Wednesday April 10th and features Megatron being swarmed by a school of savage Sharkticons! Hopefully, he's brought some energon goodies and remembers the universal greeting.
Additionally, Robots in Disguise artist Andrew Griffith has revealed the cover for issue #16 via fullmetalhero. The cover contains potential spoilers if you haven't read the last couple of issues, so click the title bar at your own risk. |

We're back, and this isn't an April Fool's joke!
The TFW2005 Community Spotlights may have disappeared for a few months now, but after an extended absence and a mass retooling of format and structure the TFW2005 Community Spotlights are back and things are a bit different from how they used to be. In the past, TFW2005 CCommunity Spotlights have been primarily focusing on a single custom that a customizer has created, which while there is still a focus in the upcoming creative spotlights, they're now going to be moreso about the customizer themselves rather than a single sampling of their work. And with the recent reveals of the Masterpiece Prowl (And Bluestreak/Silverstreak... and I guess Smokescreen is in there somewhere) what else would be a more fitting spotlight than a trio of Masterpiece Prowl customs by TFW2005 Radicon Jarrod! Jarrod is no stranger to the TFW2005 spotlight treatment, being one of TFW2005's Featured Radicons back in April of 2009 with a wide range of work from World's Smallest Transformers customs, to Alternators/Binaltech projects, all the way to Non-Transformers work with Mobile Suit Gundam model kits. Jarrod is also a contributor in the Radicon's How-To/Tutorial Subsection, posting constant updates and looks at his customs as he works on his projects. Check out the tutorial thread by click this link right here, and take the jump to check out the full interview, as well as a list of every single recent custom this user has done that we could find. |

Now for some actual Transformers 4 news.
We have received a Press Release announcing that Paramount Pictures is teaming with China Movie Channel and Jiaflix Enterprises to give Transformers 4 a major presence in China; where the franchise is a huge hit. According to the Press Release: "I'm proud and honored by how 'Transformers' has been embraced by Chinese audiences," said Michael Bay. "I look forward to working with China Movie Channel and Jiaflix Enterprises to help reach more people here and deepen their passion for this ongoing story and its characters." Pursuant to the agreement, China Movie Channel, under the State Administration of Radio Film and Television (SARFT), will cooperate with Paramount in broad-based support of the production of the film in China. "Transformers 4" is expected to be released in China on or about June 27, 2014. The parties also intend to cooperate in a number of other areas related to "Transformers 4," including the selection of filming sites within China, theatrical promotion, and possible post-production activities in China as well as casting of Chinese actors and actresses in the film. You can read the entire Press Release, after the jump. |

New listings have been released by Takara-Tomy for their Transformers Go! line. The new listings give us the names of the next three releases which are given as:
G05 Gekiso-maru (ninja team, Japan exclusive release) G06 Hunter Smokescreen (no hunter armor) G07 Bakudora (listing mentions this is a Predacon and sports a new head) No images are available at present. Hunter Smokescreen and Bakudora are priced at 2,500 yen apiece, suggesting that both of these will be Deluxe class molds - on that basis Bakudora is probably a reuse of either Ripclaw or Skystalker. Gekiso-Maru, the ninja team, is priced at 5,500 yen. Given the pricepoint and the fact it is referred to as a team, odds are this is a multipack of some description - perhaps the Decepticon combiner that was originally mooted a few weeks back? |

On Monday, Mastermind Creations showed off their Feral Rex combiner in color and added an April Fools Joke to the picture with a Predacon colored Arcee named Sixer. As we reported (and confirmed on MMC's Facebook page) Sixer isn't happening, but the mold of that Arcee figure is. The figure's name is Azalea and is inspired by Alex Milne's design of the character from her Spotlight issue. 2005 Board member griffith76 has shared the resin prototype of this figure in our 3rd party forum. According to Mastermind's Facebook, more fembots are planned and will apparently all be named after various flowers.
Check out the images of the prototype by clicking the title bar. |
