By the second movie, the paradigm of the franchise was clear.

TFcon is only 8 hours away from major US cities such as NYC, Philly and Chicago. American visitors crossing the border by land do not require a passport but need both of the following: a government-issued ID with photo, such as a driver’s license and proof of citizenship.
