Our very own SydneyY has shared with us a review and gallery of the Transformers Prime Arms Micron series Nightmare Unicron. The last release in the Arms Micron series, Nightmare Unicron is a black redeco of the Prime Gaia Unicron. An exclusive release, he depicts the nightmarish subconcious of Unicron who seeks a physical body. As a toy, his dark deco means he fits extremely well with both the Arms Micron Nemesis Prime and Megatron Darkness.

Check out our site gallery of Nightmare Unicron by opening the link below, or hit the discuss link to check out SydneyY's review of this store exclusive version of Unicron:

Newsarama has posted the solicitations from IDW Publishing for the month of July. Lots of excellent Transformers comic related stories await us according to these solicitations. Some of the more exciting news from these solicitations is a pair of classic characters, one in RID and one in MTMTE, are set to appear. We won't spoil these character's identities, but be warned the discussion thread may have spoilers.

Click the title bar to view all of the solicitations for the following books:

Takara-Tomy has updated their website with some rather cool promo material for the Transformers Go! toyline. On their main website there is an extremely cool flyer for the initial releases in the line, featuring a photoshopped image of Hunter Optimus Prime and Dragotron / Predaking fighting in Earth's orbit. Meanwhile the Transformers Go! Toyline page has updated with another image - this one showing the heads of the three main characters of each faction in Go! (Optimus, Dragotron and Shockwave) along with Bumblebee.

E-Hobby has updated their pre-order page for their Classics Magnificus exclusive with some artwork for the bonus comic that will come with the figure. The comic cover takes a Wild West style, with a wanted poster for Magnificus being torn by an unseen hand. The artstyle seems to be in the vein of the Marvel Transformers comics, at least as much as we can judge from one single uncolored lineart.

Check it out here. The Transformers Collector's Club will be offering Magnificus for order to fans outside of Japan, priced $90 with preorders expected to go live next week.

2005 Boards member Darkhawk79 has shared with us some more images of upcoming Bot Shots releases. This time out we have a look at the very cool Warpath Launcher set along with the next wave of three packs. The Warpath Launcher marks the first time we've seen Warpath as a Bot Shot, and he is an awesome little bot - his face is packed with character and attitude, complete with one eye larger than the other as if he is raising an eyebrow to say "did you just make me WHAM BAM! crash into that wall to make me transform?!"

The new assortment of three packs includes a few other cool new additions to the series - the first includes a redeco of the new Spin Shot Ironhide as Sergeant Kup along with Transformers Cybertron inspired Predacon Scourge and a Super Bot Blitzwing (redeco of the first Decepticon Brawl Bot Shot). The second set features a Transformers Cybertron homage Optimus Prime, a Super Bot Jazz, and all-new Predacon Cindersaur!

Read on to check out all these in-hand images.

By way of the Unique Toys Weibo, we are able to share with you a look at the Unique Toys War Lord and War Leo. War Leo is Unique Toys unlicensed take on Generation 1 Razorclaw, while the War Lord is the gestalt form of the five Beasticons. From this image you can get the sense of the scale of the giant. You can also see, though, that the combined giant is going to need a lot of additional parts, including alternate wings and additional crotch armor.

Mobage have teased their next event for their Transformers Legends Mobile Game on Facebook. It seems that the next event following on from Day of the Dinobots will be a Seeker theme event named "Robots in the Skies". The teaser art shows off Sunstorm, Skywarp and Thundercracker quite prominently, suggesting that they will be the three "boss" characters players will face off against over the course of the event - although Acid Storm is also lurking in the background, so anything is possible.

In more Botcon news, today we've got our first look at the 2013 box art mock up. Reminiscent of the old Machine Wars box art of more than a decade ago, Obsidian is prominently displayed in his new colors scheme, as well a a quick peak at Obsidian and Strika in alt mode. Does this artwork do it for you?

Make sure to keep an eye on Botcon.com for more reveals as Botcon quickly approaches.

A second thumbnail image from Diamond reveals an all-new, previously unknown toy release from the Beast Hunters Cyberverse line. What we have for you here is our first look at a new redeco of the Beast Hunters Cyberverse Commander Optimus Prime. This version sports a green deco along with new accessories - the missile launcher has been traded up for a large shield, though Optimus still carries the Star Saber with him. The shield also looks as though it unfolds somehow - compare the shape on Optimus' arm in robot mode to the one on top of the truck in vehicle mode.

Is this cool green redeco going to find his way into your collection? Share your thoughts on our 2005 Boards!

Diamond Distribution has recently put up some new thumbnail images, showing some upcoming Transformers toys. One of those new thumbnails gives us our first look at the recently leaked Beast Hunters Voyager "Sharkticon" Megatron in color. While small, the image gives an idea of the overall deco - primarily black, with purple highlights on the legs and fins, and teal on the hands and forearms. The new weapon as speculated can transform between arm cannon and massive hand-held sword modes. The remolding is also very cool on the front end of the vehicle, giving Megatron's alien jet mode an entirely more feral, bestial look. Check out the image at left.

There's some new fish in the Amazon - and when we say fish we mean Transformers tradepaperback solicitations. Amazon has updated their site with two new Transformers paperback solicits - the first, due out on 1 October 2013, is Transformers Classics Volume 6, collecting issues #63-74 of the original Marvel Transformers comics and including the bulk of the two major arcs at the end of the Generation 1 comics, Matrix Quest and All Fall Down. Then the following week on 8 October 2013 Transformers Robots in Disguise Volume 4 is due for release, collecting issues #12-16 of John Barber's epic ongoing. No cover art is available for either one as yet.

Comingsoon.net was at a press junket for Michael Bay's Pain & Gain (which also stars Transformers 4 leading man Mark Wahlberg). At the event, Mr Bay was asked if he could use a word or phrase to sum up Transformers 4, and with a grin, Michael Bay said "chase from hell".

Here we have it from the mouth of the man himself - Transformers 4's story will somehow be a chase from hell. We can speculate a lot about what this means - but if we take it in the context of previous comments, that Transformers 4 would be getting back to a smaller scale story than the epic action seen in Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon, then this is a perfect fit. This fan is guessing that the plot of Transformers 4 will revert to the tried and proven formula of "human (& their Autobot guardian) finds something that the villains need to further their goals and go on the run to keep it from enemy hands". Of course, time will tell.

Hit the discuss link below to join in the speculation on the 2005 Boards.

Here's a brief fun update for your enjoyment. Hisashi Yuki of the Takara-Tomy Transformers design team has taken a break from his hard work on designing new Transformers toys to tweet an image of the two biggest Transformers toys of them all - the recently reissued Fortress Maximus, and looming behind him, the arm of the new largest Transformer of them all, Generations Titan Class Metroplex. As you can gather from this image, it looks as though the top of Fortress Maximus' head is going to be roughly equal to Metroplex's shoulder - he's one big, bad robot. And he's got articulated fingers!

Introduced late in season 2 of Transformers Prime, the hot shot cavalier Autobot Smokescreen is the sixth and newest member of Team Prime. While very much the rookie, he is also a member of the Autobot Elite Guard. He came late enough in the series that, like Shockwave, he did not receive a toy in the initial Transformers Prime line, instead getting his very own deluxe class toy in the second wave of Beast Hunters deluxes, and it is that toy we are sharing a gallery of with you tonight.

The Beast Hunters Smokescreen toy is a love or hate affair. While his design is pretty clever and features a few different tricks to your normal car robot, he ends up with big bits of his car hood on his arms. He also has a deco which is inaccurate to the show. There's not a lack of paint applications, but some details are painted which are not on his show model, while others are missing. But I would invite you to look past these features to a toy which is very poseable and fun to play about with. Smokescreen is a decent little Deluxe toy, and the additional clip on armor is a nice bonus.

All in all, definitely one that is worth checking out - so open the link below to view our gallery brought to you by photo staff member thedrknss48 to see what you think of this toy.
