Mobage's next Transformers Legends game event has been revealed. Following on from the recent Fatal Furies event we have a Beast Hunters themed event called Unleash the Beast. Shockwave has been tampering with CNA and cloning experiments again and has unleashed the Terrorcons, threats to Autobot and Decepticon alike. Event cards for the episode include Razorclaw and Divebomb, and boss cards are tipped to be Rippersnapper, Blight, Twinstrike, and Hun-Gurrr - four out of five components of the Beast Hunters incarnation of Abominus.
Please note that this event has not yet been officially added to Mobage's website or Facebook and details - such as the event dates - are still subject to change. |

Speaking of rare items being shared with the fandom this day, 2005 Boards member Monzo has shared with us some rare pictures of Aaron Archer's napkin of revelation - a napkin upon which he wrote down the first ideas of what would go on to become Transformers Cybertron. Check this out to see the genesis of a Transformers line - the idea from which all else follows. You can see on this ideas that made the final cut of the series - such as the four planets and their themes, the idea of splitting into teams to tackle each world, and the general quest revolving around awakening Primus. You can also see concepts that did not make the final cut, such as a reference to the "Apocalypse" planet, the Matrix forming some kind of armor, and a transforming Vector Sigma apparently having something to do with Primus / Cybertron's core.

Collider has posted an interview with Hasbro Studios Vice President Mike Vogel. In this interview Vogel talks about the excitement and challenges of realising all of Hasbro's many properties as TV series as well as some of the lessons to be learned going forward. There is a bit on Transformers Prime season 3's production in this interview as well as the vibe that we will be seeing more movie styled productions going forward, since comic book movies are "the thing" right now.
There are also two interesting teases in there. The first is a promise of something exciting at SDCC, and the second is that there may have been talk about doing a Kre-O show: I think that does sound really interesting, and I can neither confirm or deny that there’s a presentation somewhere that shows exactly how we would do that, and that it would be super fun and exciting. But, I can say that it’s really funny. Check out the full interview here. |

Here is something rare and cool for you - by way of this eBay auction, we can share with you some images of a Transformers toy that never made it to general retail. Dark of the Moon Soundblaster was a redeco of Soundwave, initially intended for a seventh wave of Deluxe Class toys along with a Generation 1 styled Wheeljack, a redeco of Bumblebee and a Generation 1 themed Ratchet redeco. The series was dropped from a US release to an Asia exclusive wave, but never even saw that limited release. Until this auction, all we saw of Soundblaster were those initial promotional images. Check them out for a rare look at a toy that never got a release.

ArtTek has unveiled another item in their line of accessories. This accessory is the ArtTek Art of War Sonic Rifle, modeled on the rifle wielded by the Autobot Blaster. Its scale is slightly larger than the more conservative version with Fall of Cybertron Blaster. Like the other ArtTek accessories it will be available in regular and metallic versions.

Hasbro has released some new official images of Generations Titan Class Metroplex. These images show a non-photoshopped Metroplex in all his gigantic glory, showcasing his robot and city modes as well as showing a final version of Scamper, who still sports a red head but now has a painted blue visor. The images also helpfully show Metroplex against his target demographic for scale. Check out the images attached to this post.

The Official Transformers Facebook page has posted official images of two upcoming releases from Beast Hunters Cyberverse Commander Wave 4. The two new figures in this assortment are both Autobots - they are a redeco of Cyberverse Commander Optimus Prime and Huffer. The Optimus Prime is a green version of the Beast Hunters Cyberverse Commander Optimus Prime from Wave 1, who has traded up his missile launcher for a shield. Huffer is a straight up redeco of Trailcutter, and looks rather eye-catching in his traditional orange and blue style.

eHobby provides an news update on their site that certainly falls in line with their current relationship with Fun Publications by offering this year's Botcon exclusive sets for sale. eHobby will be taking preorders for their Botcon 2013 sets on May 13, 2013.
This news also comes from an email sent to eHobby customers in Japan. In this email, they mention that they will also be selling limited numbers of "TFCC exclusives", which most likely means the subscription service figures (though this isn't confirmed). The preorder price for the boxed set on the eHobby page is 54,500 yen, which converts to around $538 USD. Also notable is a mock-up of the set's package artwork. Whether or not this is the finalized version of the box still remains to be seen. However, it's certainly enough of a glimpse to get fans to anticipate this release a bit more! |

By way of their Weibo Unique Toys has unveiled their next Beasticon, Violence the War Panther, a not-Rampage. These new images show Violence in all three of his modes, looking a little less like a modified Generation 1 toy than the earlier Beasticon releases.
And, as you might have gathered, the Beasticons have now acquired "real" names. While War Hawk is still just "War Hawk", War Bison is now known as Savage Bull and War Rhino is Ironhead. With this Unique Toys has revealed prototype of all five of their Beasticons - sound off with your thoughts in the discussion thread linked below! |
