Peter Cullen also talked some emotionally powerful words about the Franchise:

"Being a part of it, that's what is the phenomenon now," he said. "We go back and our involvement has transcended all these generations: child to father and child to now the theme parks, from Singapore to Los Angeles to now Orlando. The phenomenon of 'Transformers' itself is mind shaking. Being a part of it is not only historical, it's a part of your life that says, 'Gee, I'm glad. I did something in my life that stood out,' and I'm really grateful for that. Humbled by it."

For their most recent release, E-Hobby took Generation 1 Soundwave and Blaster along with their cassettes Rewind, Ramhorn, Ratbat and Slugfest and redecoed them as their mirror universe Shattered Glass alter-egos. The set also adds Solarbot, a new character from the Rewind mold who features clear plastic.

The individual figures have some sharp decos - Soundwave looks excellent in white, and Blaster's "evil" deco really works with the mold especially with the way the head and face is realized. The cassettes, meanwhile, look phenomenally cool in their new decos, from Ratbat's Batman inspired colors to the red and white on Rewind. They are great redecos of the cassettes who stand alone, apart from the whole Shattered Glass theme, and just look great.

Overall, this set is Shattered Glass "done right", using the mirror universe concept as a springboard to offer fans some great new versions of the Generation 1 toys. If you're a fan of E-Hobby's previous exclusives or looking for a place to start collecting this fun subset of Transformers collectibles, you could do a lot worse than checking out this set. The assortment gives Blaster his remaining three minions - Rewind, Eject, and Ramhorn - as well as a fourth new minion, Sunder, who is a redeco of Laserbeak based on the Kiss Players Position character Sundor. The four toys are not exceptionally poseable, but they make up for it with their fun autotransform gimmick.
