Our sponsors TFSource have tipped us off to some new high-res images of the Takara-Tomy Generations TG-24 Legends Optimus Prime and Bumblebee set and TG-25 Orion Pax VS Megatronus set. Decent images of both have been seen before, but these new images bring a higher res look to the toys than was previously available. Check out the images attached to this story.

In an odd coincidence with our last story, Hasbro purchased a majority stake in iOs game maker Backflip Studios. The company is known for mobile games such as Dragonvale and Ragdoll Blaster.
From their statement: We are thrilled to announce today that we are selling a majority stake in Backflip Studios to Hasbro. The company will stay in Boulder, CO and will continue to be run by the current management team. In addition to producing original new titles and updating popular favorites, we will now have access to Hasbro’s catalog of well-known brands for future mobile development. We will proceed with our long held strategy of building a large and active network of satisfied users through compelling gameplay. Looks like Hasbro is jumping in the video game arena and bringing this key sector somewhat in-house. Let's hope more awesome Transformers, G.I. Joe and other boys brands games make it our way soon. |

The Spacebridge has shared a look at some more truly rare unreleased Transformers memorabilia on Facebook. This time out he has given us a rare glimpse at metallic chrome versions of four different takes on the Generation 1 Seeker mold. These Seekers, which were never released, were produced by Takara for Hasbro to use as competition prizes. It is hard to pin down the exact time period these date from, but they must be post 2003 due to the Starscream using the Transformers Collection series tooling which included the additional Megatron gun accessory.
Not a bootleg, fake or "lunchtime special" These toys were made as samples by Takara for Hasbro. They would then be offered as exclusives or prizes to retailers if they wanted to run a promotion. So if Wal*Mart wanted to run a Transformers competition these would be offered to them by Hasbro as a possible prize. Most likely not used as Japanese size missiles so "unsafe" in the United States. These are original Hasbro internal pictures. Check out The Spacebridge's Facebook page for more looks at weird and wonderful unreleased Transformers items! |

Here's a shocker nobody was expecting this side of August! The Target exclusive Transformers Prime Beast Hunters subseries, Predacons Rising, has already begun to arrive on shelves with the first sightings of the Deluxe assortment reported in San Jose, CA. Sky Lynx, one of the two Deluxes in the set (the other is a Nova Blast Bumblebee) was found on Target store shelves by 2005 Boards member Deltagod.
How long will it be before the other cool Predacons Rising exclusives get released? For those hunting, these DCPI numbers might prove useful: Predacons Rising Deluxes - 087 06 2427 Predacons Rising Voyagers - 087 06 2428 Predacons Rising Cyberverse Legion two-pack - 087 06 2429 Predacons Rising Cyberverse Commander two-pack - 087 06 2430 Big thanks to JamesBenjamin and x BlackMagnus x for compiling these! |

New, clearer, unwatermarked photos of Takara-Tomy's Generations Gold Bumblebee and Hoist & Trailcutter two-pack have been released online. These new images confirm that Bumblebee will not feature the remolded Goldfire head but just the Bumblebee head with a blue helmet. These images also confirm that Gold Bumblebee will only feature some metallic gold paint applications rather than being all metallic gold. Hoist and Trailcutter remain sharp looking decos of a pair of cool toys.

Thanks to some new auction TaoBao, we now have some new in hand images of the forth coming Transformers Collectors' Club Subscription Figures. Most fans have already received the first figure, Scourge. With the exception of Breakdown, we now have new images of Ultra Mammoth, Animated Jackpot, Circuit, and Slipstream. All of the bags in the images say "Botcon 2013", which backs up what the Collectors' Club explained to fans was the reasoning for the delay in the shipping of these figures.

Popular filming location information site; On Location Vacations has posted some new images from Transformers 4 production at M-52 outside of Adrian.
The images feature the Autobots chilling between takes. What's interesting is the name OLV has given to the 2014 Argosy cab-over truck by Freightliner; they are calling it as Galvatron. The site is not giving any evidence why they are calling it in such a manner. Galvatron is rumored to appear in Transformers 4. But bear-in-mind it is rumor only at this point so far. How did this rumor start? Well, it began when Joblo claiming they have a "reliable source" who revealed names of new robots of TF4… among the names was Galvatron. To further ignite the rumor, a mysterious gun like prop was spotted. But it's too big if you compare it to the Freightliner truck. However, there is no official statement regarding the identity of the Argosy cab-over truck. Popular fan theories are: Motormaster, Nemesis Prime, Ultra Magnus, Grimlock… and now Galvatron. What do you think of this new rumor? Leave a thought on the thread associate with this news post. |

Target exclusive in the US, in Europe one of the chains carrying this Beast Hunters subseries is Tesco, and it was a branch of Tesco in the UK's West Bromwich area which gives us these sightings! Among the other items sighted on shelves are:
Predacons Rising Abominus Giftset Predacons Rising Cyberverse Commander Optimus Prime VS Predaking Predacons Rising Cyberverse Legion G1 Smokescreen VS Cindersaur Predacons Rising Deluxe Sky Lynx Predacons Rising Voyager Darksteel A few of these items have not even hit the US yet, but doubtless they will shortly. Third party group Cubex have posted images on their Weibo showing off a potential unlicensed Masterpiece Huffer. What is seen here is an obviously early prototype, but a promising looking release. About large enough to fit in the palm of one's hand in vehicle mode, this Huffer seems scaled with the current Masterpiece Transformers and is relatively well detailed. Check out the images attached to this post.

New images of the Platinum Series Grimlock have been posted by 1 Toy. This version of Grimlock shares a basic paint scheme with the Fall of Cybertron version released by Hasbro earlier this year, but upgrades to nice shiny gold in place of flat gold plastic. He's coming as a part of the Platinum Series Grimlock VS Bruticus set sometime later this year.
Additionally check out via Weibo some images of this version of Grimlock compared with the Fall of Cybertron Grimlock, letting you appreciate just how much of a difference that gold chrome makes to the toy. |
