Next up in our series of galleries looking at the Transformers Generations Wave 5 is Bumblebee! This version of the beloved yellow Autobot is based on the rebuilt body Bumblebee received at the end of his miniseries early in the Mike Costa era and that he then retained for the remainder of the ongoing. It is best described visually as a hybrid of classic and movie Bumblebee designs, giving Bumblebee a look which is both modern in respect of the resemblance to the Movie and Prime musclecar Bumblebees, but also retro with some of the nods to the original Bumblebee - in particular the headsculpt, which is a Bumblebee face very strongly based on the Generation 1 look that you can almost see Dan Gilvezan providing the voice of.

That being said, while Bumblebee has a great look, he falls far short of the other new toys in this assortment. Unlike Trailcutter, Megatron and Orion Pax, there are some vehicle mode parts left hanging off of the robot mode, in particular the whole roof of the car. But Bumblebee also falls short technically, with his elbow movement restricted by hard plastic notches, a shade of yellow plastic that may not please everyone, and the sliding panels on the lower leg feeling tight to the point you worry you might break them. On my Bumblebee also the legs, which are purely friction joints - not balljoints or even pin joints - were a bit loose at the knees. It is a pity, because there are a lot of good ideas that went into the Bumblebee design - but I was left feeling that Bumblebee perhaps should have been put back a wave to let his design be polished to the level of Megatron, Trailcutter or Orion Pax.

Overall, Bumblebee is not terrible - he's the weakest of the four, but still looks nice when displayed. The Goldbug / Goldfire version might be the one to look toward though, for being an official Classics style Goldbug as well as being in a generally nicer looking deco.

Check out the gallery of Bumblebee at the link below:

As the filming in Detroit continues, more on-set videos showing off some of what is going on has come to our attention! This first video by hendrixflash on Youtube shows Hound and Bumblebee racing through the streets:

This next clip from jerry48192 shows a different angle on what is presumably the railcar drop stunt - a blue SUV is seen reversing at speed as bits of debris rain down:

This last video by Daavaaad shows the blue SUV again, this time with a camera rig mounted on it, presumably to shoot the same scene from a "in vehicle" type of angle.

Nick Roche has posted a preview of the second More than Meets the Eye print he will have available at Auto Assembly 2013 this weekend. Titled "The Wake", it is set after More than Meets the Eye 15. It's a somber mood in Swerve's as lost friends are remembered.

Nick Roche has also tweeted another piece of art that he will have available, a Beast Hunters piece from Rage of the Dinobots, which depicts all five Dinobots VS Shockwave. Retreat... is logical.

These prints will be available at Nick Roche's table at Auto Assembly 2013 this weekend, 9 - 11 August 2013 at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Birmingham, England.

CMs Corporation have updated their blog with three new images of their Brave Gokin Excel Suit. The Excel Suit is based on the Exosuit worn by Spike and Daniel in Generation 1 Season 3, and comes with figures of Spike and Daniel. These latest images show that either figure can go inside the suit, and also that the Excel Suit can transform into the vehicle mode briefly used by Daniel on Junkion in Transformers the Movie. Cassy Sark on Facebook has shared a selection of CGI renders of the Mastermind Creations Seraph Prominion, an unofficial version of Nova Prime / Nemesis Prime from the IDW Comics. Scaled to a similar height as Hexatron, Seraph Prominion consists of a cab which transforms into a robot and a trailer which transforms into an armor cradle, Iron Man style, before combining with the smaller robot to form the mecha-raven winged Nova Prime who looms "like a vast, predatory bird".

We have mirrored the images, check them out attached to this post.

The Transformers Collectors Club has added new pages to their website showcasing the 2014 Membership Freebie figure Rampage / Protoform X as well as Transmutate, who will be sold exclusively through the Collector's Club store in 2014 and will serve as a companion piece to Rampage. Both Rampage and Transmutate use the Transformers Prime First Edition toys as their bases, Rampage is a redeco of the Deluxe First Edition Megatron with a new head, while Transmutate is a straight-up recolor of First Edition Arcee, and presumably represents what Transmutate could have been, had she not suffered the tragic accident that defined her episode of Beast Wars.

Rampage will be available free to all Transformers Collector's Club members who have an active membership through March 16 2014. Transmutate will be offered through the Collector's Club store at some point in 2014. Both characters will be featured in the Transformers Collectors Club comic strip for 2014.

The Official Transformers Collectors Club have updated the exclusives part of their website. In addition to showing off next year's membership freebie there is a placeholder graphic for the second year of the Transformers Subscription Service. The placeholder shows the head of Treadshot, who is a redeco of Generations Warpath. While he shares Warpath's head, the paint deco visible in this small image shows the Collectors Club has carefully recreated the look of Action Master Treadshot's head.

MP-10 Convoy is set to be released in Asian markets this fall. The figure that sold out quickly in Japan and here in the US at TRU as Masterpiece Optimus Prime looks more like the Japanese version with darker blue. Of note is that it will come with a display stand which will allow you to pose Optimus in all types of unique action stances. That was mentioned to be "while supplies last". Thanks to 2005 Boards Member Monzo for sharing a new look at an old mystery. Back when Transformers Energon was out, Prowl was initially shown with a head sculpt that differed from the final release. In his travels, Monzo came across some production materials for Energon including Prowl, and we get a look at that alternate head in a bit more detail. Read on to check out the images, and hit the discuss link to talk about it on the forums!

At Auto Assembly 2013 when announcing he would be attending Auto Assembly 2014, Flint Dille introduced himself as writer of the Transformers Generation 1, Autocracy, Primacy and Monstrosity.

Given that the possibility of a sequel to Monstrosity has been put around and that Primacy is mentioned in the same breath as the previous two digital-first series, could Flint Dille have teased the name of the possible sequel to Monstrosity? Take it as a rumor for now, and watch this space.

During a Press Event for his new movie; Guns 2, actor Mark Wahlberg explained the "Human Element" of Transformers 4:

"I give [Jack] a lot of shit in this movie. I didn't know my daughter had a boyfriend and then all of a sudden, this punk kid is thrust into my life and I have to deal with him while dealing with this very extraordinary set of circumstances...I have to entrust the most important thing in my life to him at a certain stage in the movie, 'if something happens to me then protect my little girl'. I love the human element of the movie."

Being an experienced actor, Mr. Wahlberg has also given advice to Jack Reynor and Nicola Peltz on how to deal with the life after a big movie like Transformers.

Mark Wahlberg also shared difficulties he had while working with a new camera rig.

Get ready for the ultimate conclusion of Transformers: Prime.

IMDB has posted a Trailer for the upcoming Transformers: Prime - Predacons Rising Movie.

The trailer is not available for viewing on certain countries but our DJs From Cybertron was kind enough to upload it to You Tube.

Japanese retailer Yodobashi Camera have updated their website with a new listing for something called "Transformers FJ Optimus Prime".

There is very little information on the Optimus Prime on the listing beyond the name, the price - 3,780 yen, with an MSRP of 4,200 yen, which is similar to the pricepoint of the Alternity line - and a release date of 28 September 2013.

What this is, and what the "FJ" stands for are unknown. Details on the order page are scant and no photos are provided. Watch this space for more information as it becomes available.
