Chicago Tribune has posted some details of Transformers 4 filming which took place at the Blue Cross Blue Shield Tower and our member ElectricPrada09 is bringing some details from Walgreens.

According to Chicago Tribune, The film's star, Mark Wahlberg, could be seen climbing into Optimus Prime's driver's side under Michael Bay's direction. Hours earlier, two actors who appeared to be co-stars Jack Reynor and Nicola Peltz (or their stand-ins) exited Bumblebee after it performed a "doughnut," bringing the car to a screeching halt.

Also the article states that on Saturday, a couple of military-looking men in berets and all-black uniforms that read "KSI" were seen on set.

After the filming, director Michael Bay rolled down his window to say hello while being driven off the premise. After one woman shouted "I love your movies," Bay responded "I love Chicago."

There was also a shooting which took place at a Walgreens with Michael Bay present. Many of our fans suggest that it could be a scene very early in the movie where the actors are out and about before being thrown into a world of chaos.

If you have filming reports, images and videos from Transformers 4 filming, feel free to report. Your contribution is always welcome.

The long awaited and often delayed next entry in the Fansproject Function X line appears to be finally finished and ready to ship. Thanks to a pair of images posted on weibo we get to see Function X Quadruple U on top of his box. This figure is scheduled to be released early this month, so this image is indicative that this is an image of the final product. Also posted by the same weibo user is an image of a Fansproject display case (in an unknown store, at the moment). In this image you can see prototypes of Fansprojects upcoming versions of G1 Mindwipe and Quickswitch, but we see an apparent color prototype of Function X Smart Robin aka Brainstorm!

Check out the images courtesy of weibo.com/u/2439759504 after the jump

UPDATE 2005 Board member Aniline has provided us with additional high quality final product images of Function X Quadruple U.

For the second assortment of their IDW Comic pack-in Transformers Generations releases, Hasbro went with a pair of retooled / redecoed releases. One of the two was Hoist, a retooled Trailcutter featuring a new head and a crane in place of the truck bed cover / hatchback panel accessory Trailcutter sported. While a simple retool, it is very effective and also true to how the original Hoist was retooled from Generation 1 Trailbreaker.

Hoist's deco is quite simply, gorgeous. The green and orange contrast as well now as they did in 1985, and the updated design is very much in keeping with the "Classics" style of reimagined Generation 1 Autobots, while still being distinctly Hoist. The new head in particular I feel is very well done, with nice yellow eyes and faceplate evoking Hoist's unique look. The crane accessory folds up to become a small blaster for Hoist - unusually conservatively small among Transformers toys who have huge blasters. It's a different style of design though, which makes it nice and refreshing.

We've been waiting a long while for a new Hoist to add to our Classics shelves, and while the Revenge of the Fallen Hoist filled the space nicely in the interim, this toy is definitively the Classics Hoist in this fan's eyes. I enjoyed the Trailcutter toy a lot, but I would say Hoist, with his brighter and frankly more unique deco, is the more appealing of the two. If you can only get one, consider Hoist (if you can though, get both, they are both amazing toys and characters deserving of your time, and excellently designed little toys to boot).

Check out our gallery at the link below!

By way of The Spacebridge on Facebook, we can bring you a look at something rather cool. Back in the original Transformers Universe line in 2003, Hasbro had planned to release a redeco of G1 Thunder Clash / Machine Wars Optimus Prime as Motormaster. The line's unpopularity with retailers curtailed the plans and other than the occasional prototype, nothing has ever been seen of this toy.

Today, The Spacebridge has added some Hasbro Color Guides for this unreleased Universe Motormaster to his Prototype Transformers gallery. These are the sheets used by Hasbro in determining the final deco, paint apps and other details - a rare look at the design process of any Transformers toy, but doubly so for one that was never released and is rarely seen. Be sure to check them out, along with all the other cool looks at rare and obscure items in that same gallery.

Hot on the tail of the recent image on Twitter by designer Shogo Hasui news, we have this bit of news - the image of the collector's coin for the upcoming release of Masterpiece Prowl! While some collectors have simply chosen to pass on collecting the coins to the recent Masterpiece figures, this one certainly has a look of lawful authority that is aptly applicable to Prowl. Many thanks TFW2005.com member Autobot_Jacer for sharing this news from Planet Iacon. This is yet another step closer for the release of Masterpiece Prowl!

Yesterday, TFW2005 revealed to the world the possible title of Transformers 4 (or we can call it Transformers: Age Of Extinction from now on). Along with the title for the movie, three other names came up at the United States Patent And Trademark Office. These three titles were categorized under Video Games. One of the titles was a major spoiler.

But it didn’t take long for us to know that the character in question will make an appearance one way or the other on TF:AOE. Thanks to our 2005 Boards Member Evac167, we have a spy photo to show you. If you want to see it, we suggest you visit the thread associated with this news post. We are keeping it away from the front page for those who are sensitive to spoilers.

2005 Boards member BB Shockwave has shared with us something cool tonight - scans of the Transformers pages of the 1995 Toy Fair catalog. This catalog covered the end of the Generation 2 line, so it shows a whole lot of these early toys that never got released. Showcased herein are toys such as the Soundwave and Jazz Laser Cycles (recolors of Road Pig and Road Rocket, respectively), SGT Hound and General Optimus Prime autorollers (recolors of Road Block and Dirtbag, respectively) plus the Combat Hero Optimus Prime and Megatron recolors and the legendary Megatron & Starscream ATB.

There's also a whole page dedicated to the Go-Bots assortment which was actually released, but weirdness rears its head here with several characters having altered names, i.e. Bumble Bee instead of Bumblebee.

Check out the scans attached to this post for a look at lots of never-released goodness.

Some interesting news has emerged regarding the possible location of BotCon 2014 thanks to some detective work by TFW2005 members. According to a recent phone inquiry and conversation with a Pasadena Convention Center employee, the Pasadena Convention Center, home to many past BotCons, has possible dates in June 2014 scheduled for yet another BotCon convention, according to the employee.

Furthermore, the Sheraton Pasadena Hotel appears to also have a block of rooms scheduled for the same time frame with a discounted rate similar to prior BotCon years.

Although we've heard many rumors regarding a return to Pasadena, please treat this as a RUMOR and take with a grain of salt. The location and time of BotCon 2014 has NOT been confirmed by any representatives of BotCon or the Transformers Collector's Club. If/when official confirmation is confirmed we will report it here. Additionally, as more information crosses the wire regarding BotCon 2014, refer back here for any updates.

Sound off on the potential of this rumor after the jump.

We have some more on the set shots from Transformers 4 today. From 2005Boards member neenav via Twitter we see Nicola Peltz, Mark Whalberg, and Jack Reynor interacting with the large gunship prop resembling the Decepticon invasion jets from Dark of the Moon. We also get a clean shot of the white 2014 Camaro from Instagram.

To cap it off, a pretty sweet video of the Autobots rolling out to their next location thanks to EpicTransformer of the 2005 Boards.

Yahoo Movies UK has officially revealed the first Transformers 4 Poster! In it we see an an altered Decepticon logo next to the 4, layered on top of sand with subtle hints of claw marks and a footprint (if you really want to over analyze things that is). Last but not least, the title "Age of Extinction" is used. To our U.S. friends, please note that 10.7.14 is the European date method, which translates to 7/10/14 for us in the States.

Update - US Poster revealed as well via Yahoo Movies US, date is confirmed to be 6/27/14.
