Linkin Park Soundwave is set to be released later this month after over a year of waiting, and to celebrate the band and their retail partner SURU are putting out a matching set of T-shirts and baseball hat. There will be 2 tees, one in gold and one in Decepticon purple, featuring Soundwave in tape mode with the LP icon as seen on the toy. The hat is a New Era 9 Fifty snapback featuring the tapedeck design embroidered in gold, decepticon symbol pattern on the panels, and a purple brim. Check out all the pics after the break, and head on over to SURU to order! (Note - you can also preorder the toy over at TFSource!)

Please be advised the following are potential spoilers.
A piece of info has been dropped stating some Transformer characters may not be making a return to the big screen for the fourth live action film. "Nelson" of the Shoot For The Edit - Michael Bay forums has been known to drop hints before and seems to have stated Sideswipe and Dino won't be returning for Age of Extinction. This is consistent of course with their cars not being seen on the set as well as the promises of a new robot cast for Transformers 4 as we've previously been told. Are you okay with this possibility? You can see the original thread with Nelson's reply here. Discuss after the jump. |

Charticon 2013 is now in the history books, as many fans in North Carolina and also from the rest of the US gathered for the first unofficial Transformers convention held in Charlotte, NC. There were exclusive toys, discussion panels, a dealer room, official guests, a huge dealer room, a charity auction . . . in short, it was quite the event! While fans await the next convention, TFW2005.COM has compiled a photo gallery enabling fans to relive the memories of all of the fun times! There are over 750 images in this gallery alone! There is the main album, and also several sub-albums!
The TFW2005.COM Charticon 2013 Photo Gallery is now officially online! We have received word that Japan will continue getting Transformers Generations toys in 2014! Takara-Tomy are adding to their version of Transformers Generations with releases of TG-30 Waspinator in February 2014 and TG-31 Rhinox in March 2014. Right now the only images available are placeholders, but all indications are that these will have slightly tweaked decos, perhaps some areas may sport metallic finishes, maybe in the style of the Beast Wars Telemocha reissues where only the robotic parts were done in metallic finish. Time will tell.
Big thanks to sponsors TFSource for this initial heads up - check out their listings for the pair of Japanese Generations Beast Wars! Transformers Generations Japan - TG30 Waspinator Transformers Generations Japan - TG31 Rhinox |

The Masterpiece line marches on, as official images emerge through preorder solicitations from site sponsor TFSource. We get to see what appears to be the final deco of the previously confirmed G2 Sideswipe, sporting red windshields and the additional weapon add-ons. The G2 Autobot symbol adorns his hood/chest. Also, if you look closely, there is one image with the G2 decoed spoiler and one image without. Could this mean that this figure will include a label sheet? Feel free to speculate!
The next image is two new figure, albeit one is a redeco of an existing figure - Masterpiece Soundblaster and Ratbat! While Soundblaster is a redeco of the Masterpiece Soundwave mold, Ratbat is a new mold entirely! You can place your preorders with TFSource here for G2 Sideswipe and here for Soundblaster and Ratbat! |

Striaght from the weibo page of TFC Toys themselves, we have our first look at their first upcoming unofficial Razorclaw figure, Nemean. Nemean is shown here in color plastic unpainted prototype. He is also shown in his combined torso mode of Ares.
This figure is slated for a 4th Quarter 2013 release. What do you think thus far TFW? In the realm of unofficial Predakings do you already have most of your Predacons in hand? Are you waiting for preorders to drop? Or are you holding out for Project Ares? Sound off in our 3rd Party Forum! |

It's been awhile since we've seen a brick and mortar retail store make a big deal about our favorite Robots in Disguise. Thankfully, Target has heeded the call! This newsie came across the brand new Predacons Rising focal fixture showing up in Target stores. No doubt, these are starting to pop up in Target's to help promote not only Target's exclusive Predacon's Rising exclusive toys, but also the earlier reported "Dawn of The Beast" Target exclusive DVD. As you can see from the picture, the focal feature is a bit shy on product, but everything currently being offered is displayed on one side or another; Predacon Rising Exclusives on the front, Generations and Construct-Bots on one side and the other side (not-shown) featuring Prime Beast Hunters and Rescue Bots. Hopefully, this means more new toys are being shipped to stores to fill the feature and us fans can empty our wallets in a prompt fashion.
This fixture will most likely stay up for the rest of September to help coincide with the release of the Predacon's Rising Blu-Ray/DVD release on October 8th. Check out the pic after the break to discuss! |

It seems as though talented voice actor Dustin James Leighton has landed another role on a Transformers project. Currently, he is the voice of Evac on Transformers: The Ride at Universal Studios Theme Park.
Mr. Leighton made this announcement via Twitter: "Oh boy, NEW #transformers script sitting on my desk. Just printed it out! #Voiceover #MWOV" When asked whether he would reprise his role as Evac, he was quick to reply with a no. Remember folks, the voice role may not be for the upcoming movie; Transformers: Age Of Extinction. So, who do you think Dustin James Leighton will lend his voice to? And to what; TF4? A new Ride? The next Animated Series? Or something else entirely? Discuss with your fellow members on the thread associated with this news post. |

Amazon has added a listing for a Transformers Rescue Bots Leapfrog Learning Game. In Race to the Rescue, you take control of the Rescue Bots as they race through seven stages to counter Dr. Morocco and his "Disaster Machines". The trailer on Amazon demonstrates in addition to "edutainment" segments there are also shoot 'em up sequences and what looks like all-new animated footage from the game.
A video trailer is available on Amazon - be sure to check it out. |

The second new release in the most recent assortment of IDW Deluxe Class Transformers is a Fall of Cybertron version of Thundercracker. Depicting the Decepticon in his Cybertronian form, this is a nice and vibrant recolor of the earlier Fall of Cybertron Starscream toy, and with a Skywarp on the horizon (or already out if you picked up the Takara-Tomy release) he builds up the Seeker squadron as seen in Transformers War for Cybertron.
Thundercracker is the fourth new deco on this mold, and it once again brings out the best of the toy. The blue is a particularly nice shade which is roughly the same tint as the original Thundercracker toy from the 1980s and the 2007 Botcon exclusive, so he looks particularly cool stood with either of those. The mold itself is as always excellent with a good amount of poseability, and it does not seem to be showing any wear for being the fourth outing of the mold. The two criticisms that might be levelled at the toy is that the chaingun barrels are entirely unpainted blue plastic - on balance, probably a tradeoff for all the paint on the robot. The other point of criticism is that the silver paint on the back of the jet / robot's backpack seems to chip very easily. These do not detract though from a sharp-looking, good and fun toy. Open the link below to check out our gallery and see for yourself: Generations IDW Deluxe Thundercracker Gallery |

Amazon has also added more listings to its site, this time for the fifth assortment of Beast Hunters Cyberverse Commanders, Unicron Megatron and Ultra Magnus. These listings are given as "in stock now", if genuine, could this mean an actual retail sighting is not far behind? The listings also give the bios for each character:
Unicron Megatron The ruthless Decepticon leader harnesses the power of Unicron to vanquish anyone foolish enough to stand in his way. Ultra Magnus Ultra Magnus leads his elite Autobot strike team with the mighty Forge of Solus battle hammer. |

Yet more news courtesy of Amazon.com! Amazon have updated their listings for several upcoming Generations toys with the text of the character's bios. These bios cover the Legends Class Swerve with Flanker and Cosmos with Payload as well as Voyager Class Rhinox and Doubledealer. There's a good mix of homaging original bios, cartoons, and IDW comics with these bios - check them out below.
Also Beast Wars fans will be pleased to note - Rhinox's Gatling Guns of Doom is now canonical with his bio! Swerve with Flanker Riding with Swerve is a terrifying experience. The Autobot technician lives up to his name. His attention span is so short that he finds even exit ramps boring, which more often than not results in him drifting, uncaring, into oncoming traffic. So it's good he's partnered up with Flanker. The little jet is almost compulsive about scanning everything around him for Deception activity. And when his shouted warnings don't make an impression on Swerve, his impenetrable force field does a good job of protecting the other vehicles on the road. Cosmos with Payload You may never meet a pair that is more eager to please than Autobot Cosmos and Payload. They're both proud of their ability to fly into space, and eager to use it to benefit the Autobot cause. It's a lonely life in orbit, but they both make up for it by performing some of the most awesome daredevil space stunts anyone has ever heard of. It's just too bad there's no one else up there to see them. Rhinox Rhinox is rare among robots. He has a brilliant scientific mind, as well as a deep philosophical curiosity about the nature of the universe around him. He is astoundingly strong – able to hold his own against even the most powerful opponents. He is friendly, good-natured and charismatic, with a fine strategic mind that would make him an ideal leader for the Maximals forces if they didn't already have one. What's more, he carries one of the most powerful weapons of any Maximals in the form of the twin Gatling Guns of Doom, which pump out a Predacon-shredding storm of hot lead. This is one Predacon-pounding warrior who's got the weaponry to whoop up on anyone! Doubledealer Decepticon Doubledealer doesn't really care whom he works for, as long as they can pay his fee. And pay they do. The amount of firepower he carries more than makes up for the fact that he's totally untrustworthy. He carries enough explosive power with him to shatter mountains to dust, and for that both the Autobots and the Decepticons are willing to pay dearly, handing over crates full of Energon chips in exchange for a single battle's worth of services. |

Amazon has added a new listing for another Transformers Classified young readers novel. This one is titled "The Complete Mission", which would make you think it is going to be an omnibus edition of the three Transformers Classified books so far, however the price and page count are about the same as the previous novels, which leads one to conclude it's a new book - or Amazon has the details wrong.
Watch this space for more updates. |

Wildlife artist David Bollman of Southpaw Studio in Sterling Heights recently finished work on the filming of Transformers: Age Of Extinction.
Mr. Bollman had this to say: "We built a set downtown, but mainly I did a lot of finish painting," he said. "I painted specific props. And even some of the really cool props and weapons in the movie." Bollman said much of his work during the filming in downtown Detroit in July was on various cars in the movie. "I did Chinese lettering on the cars; hand lettering; vinyl graphics; and of course we made everything look like it's been through the mud," Bollman said. "In specific settings, the areas are dirt and muddy." Bollman said he conducted "a lot of research to get stuff very accurate. There is always something that goes into making things look authentic and real," he said. "The director (Michael Bay) loves to have an explosion, so there's a lot of action in this movie. "Mark Wahlberg is just dynamite," Bollman noted about the star in the movie. "He's going to be a phenomenal asset to the movie." Mr. David Bollman previously worked for Transformers: Dark Of The Moon. |

However Dr. Wu has gone above and beyond with this one because it looks like they have 9 different designs to choose from. Check out the other images released after the break, then discuss the designs in the discussion thread here the TFW2005 boards.
