Alfes2010 has shared some in-hand images of the Transformers GT Maximus figure. GT Maximus is a reuse of the Alternity Convoy / Optimus Prime figure like all the Transformers GT releases and features new accessories and a remolded head, along with rally style detailing and a bonus GT sister figure named Hiiro. Check out the images here.

We are getting reports that the second assortment of Transformers Rescue Bots Figure Two Packs are being found at US retail. The sets feature poseable, non-transformable versions of the Rescue Bots core cast along with their human allies - and in the case of this second assortment, one of their enemies! The assortment consists of Boulder with Dr Green and Blades with Dr Morocco - yes, you too with these figure can own your very own Tim Curry figure!
This sighting comes to you via Sideswipe1954, who spotted these figures in the Wal Mart at Frederick, Maryland and snapped this pic to share with us! Keep up to date with all the latest sightings in your area in our Transformers Sightings board. |

Chinese news site Chongqing Evening News is reporting that Transformers 4 Age of Extinction will be filming at China's Wulong Karst Geology Park. The site is part of the South China Karst UNESCO World Heritage Site and has a rare geological and ecological limestone karst scenery. According to Chongqing News' report, a crew has been making trips to the park to survey possible filming locations, and it is said that the park is an important location within the film with an exciting scene set to take place there.
Also of note is that the article appears to refer to Transformers 4 as "Extinct Rebirth" (绝迹重生), rather than Age of Extinction (灭绝的年龄) - could this be the official Chinese title for Transformers 4? |

Swing by Acidfree's booth at the New York Comic Con on October 10-13th to check these 18×24 prints out! Any that are left after the NYCC will be offered through Acidfree's site. Big thanks to Nakatomi Inc for breaking this news. |

The latest edition of Dengeki Hobby magazine features among its pages an illustration of a new version of Unicron. This version of Unicron is shown alongside the Transformers GT Maximus, suggesting he is connected to the Transformers GT storyline. The artwork is a new, highly stylized take on the 2010 reissue of Transformers Armada Unicron, with a more angular chest and a clean-shaven face. It is not clear if this is intended for a future manga story, or is merely a piece of artwork for the promotion of the line. We're pretty sure that no toy is in the works; though stranger things have happened.
Check out the scan kindly shared with us by 2005 Boards member Grandum attached to this post. |

While the Freelance Peacekeeping Agent, Death's Head, has not been a part of the Transformers mythos for some time now as the character is owned by Marvel Comics, we know a lot of you like the guy, yes? So it might interest you to know that a new Death's Head comic is coming in early 2014, and that Transformers artist and co-writer of Last Stand of the Wreckers Nick Roche will be providing art on the book, which will be his first work for Marvel Comics.
A big thanks to Irish Comic News, who shared this announcement made at the Dublin International Comic Expo (DICE). They also confirmed that Andy Lanning would be writing the book, and that the one-shot would use the Death's Head II version of the character, rather than the version who was featured in the original Marvel Transformers comics. |

We all remember the Decepticon Dreads from the epic Dark Of The Moon Highway Chase. And, it seems as though they are back for Transformers 4.
Set photos from Transformers: Age Of Extinction show the Dread vehicle mode; a Chevrolet Suburban driving along with the Pagani and the Freightliner. Other photos show the vehicle being unloaded and stored. We have no info on whether the Dreads will return, another robot altogether or a whether this is a human vehicle. However, the vehicle seems to have tinted windows; which is usually considered as a distinguished mark for being a Cybertronian in disguise. Stay tuned with TFW2005 for more info. Check out the images, after the jump. |

SXS Toys has released a picture of their second full transforming robot release on their Weibo. This "not-Blurr" was teased a while ago, however until now we had not seen anything more than a silhouette. This image shows us what this robot will look like - he's a fairly buff version of Blurr with some cues to the original Cybertronian design and the IDW comics Cybertron mode. (And, as some have pointed out, he also resembles the one-shot dark horse Autobot from Generation 1 episode The Gambler, Devcon).

Tonight we wish to share with you a gallery of the latest offering from the Transformers Figure Subscription Service, Breakdown! Breakdown occupies a special place within Botcon lore which the Figure Subscription Service is an extension of - way back in 1994, Generation 2 Breakdown was the first ever Botcon exclusive. This new Breakdown ironically closes the loop, he is a redeco of the Botcon 2010 Generation 2 Redux Breakdown mold.
At his core, this Timelines Breakdown is a redeco and retool of the Universe Classics Sideswipe. It's a move which makes sense, owing to the fact that both Sideswipe and Breakdown were Lamborghinis. The deco is excellent, with the original Breakdown's off-white cream deco being faithfully reproduced, and the alternate head tooling created for the Botcon 2010 set looking at home on the mold now in Generation 1 inspired colors as it ever did. There is some great attention to detail as well - right down to a rubsign in the appropriate spot on the roof, just like the original. An excellent touch. Overall, the Figure Subscription Service Breakdown is a solid and fitting choice for the inaugural year of the Figure Subscription Service. He is a very sharp looking robot, one that manages to put his own stamp on the mold. He may lack the combination feature present in the original Stunticons, but so do other modern reinterpretations of the combiners, like Onslaught or Drag Strip - and Breakdown looks right at home on a Classics shelf alongside them. Take a look at our gallery and see for yourself: Figure Subscription Service Breakdown Gallery |

Famitoy have posted a mock-up image on their Facebook revealing a new upcoming release in the Kabaya Transformers Gum kit series - a DX Overlord gum kit. The new images reveal that Overlord will be a follow up to last year's Fortress Maximus set.
For those unfamiliar with the Kabaya Transformers Gum DX series, the Fortress Maximus was released as three bases, each with tiny companion figures, and the three bases once combined formed a roughly Deluxe sized Fortress Maximus. Given Overlord's modular city mode design and two-vehicle form transformation, he seems ideal for a release in this series. The images also tease that the mini-figures coming with the sets are the Brainmasters from Transformers Victory, Blacker, Braver and Laster, and that they can combine into Road Caesar! Check out the image at left. |

The MP-11 version of Starscream is an upgraded and more Generation 1 accurate version of the original Starscream and comes with full cloak and coronation gear, as seen in Transformers the Movie. According to the announcement, Starscream will be re-released to China only in mid-November - a great opportunity to get a minty fresh Masterpiece Starscream if you missed out the first time around!

Heads up for you Botcon fans who missed out on the book this summer in San Diego, now you can get your hands on the latest Timelines issue, Termination!
Complete with a new cover which features G1 Starscream, Megatron and Soundwave standing together, with a reflection below featuring their Botcon Machine Wars inspired bodies. Looks like it'll be at your local comic shop November 27th. Make sure to add it to your pulllist or talk to your comic shop guy to make sure they order this book, as it might be under their radar. While you're at it, make sure they've got the shelves stocked up on IDW's More Than Meets The Eye and Robots In Disguise which are arguably two of the best Transformers comic series of the modern era. Not sure where your closest comic shop is? Use the Comic Shop Locator! |

Hasbro have updated their online product catalog with new official images of several upcoming Bot Shots releases including:
Launchers Bluestreak, Buzzclaw, Hun-Gurrr and Starscream Single Packs Smokescreen, Hydrax, Soundwave, Prowl and Strafe New images of the Combaticons Five Pack have also been posted. Of interest is that the Smokescreen in the new assortment seems to draw on the Alternators / Binaltech "blue" version, with the Launcher Bluestreak looking a lot like Smokescreen, one questions if perhaps the names got switched. Then again, perhaps this Bot Shot Smokescreen is meant to evoke Transformers Prime Smokescreen in his Beast Hunters deco. |

Michael Bay's Official Website always keeps a healthy relationship with the Transformers Fandom. Nelson; the Site Admin of Shoot For The Edit shed some new info on the Robots of Transformers: Age Of Extinction, moments ago:
"I like how Bumblebee looks like in robot form this time around. He looks badass and sleek. The Stingray is one of my favorite looking robots. So is the Bugatti. Wait til you see this guy in action. He will blow your mind!! And Hound reminds me of the bearded chubby fellow in Braveheart. He might take the cake when it comes to personality." With it, we now have a good idea as to who the "Pole-face" Bearded Robot is. |

For quite some time we've been hearing that S. Damen Silos will receive the good ol' Baysplosion treatment for Transformers: Age Of Extinction. The time is finally upon us. According to news sources, Transformers 4 filming is set to wrap for the City Of Chicago with the "Mother of all explosion".
“The “Transformers: Age of Extinction” director and his crew are scheduled to wrap in Chicago this week, but not before filming what one source with the production called the “mother of all bombs.” The source said the explosion will take place Wednesday afternoon around the silos on S. Damen Avenue and W. 29th Street in the Pilsen area. This is the same site where “Transformers” recently blew up a bridge, while at the same time setting off an impressive fireball.” TF4 filming will continue on Washington state, and then China. We wish Michael Bay "Good Luck" and thank him for the awesome spectacle at Chicago. Previous reports suggests that actor Mark Wahlberg will also complete his Principle Photography for the movie and will move to film Ted 2. As Chicago Tribune stated: "Leave it to Michael Bay to go out with a bang." |

Mastermind Creations is on hand at the Guangzhou International Comic Con and they've brought something special for fans of unofficial Transformer combiner toys! Shown in a very impressive looking display are all five Feralcons shown in both beast and robot modes. This is our first look at colored prototype images of R-02 Talon (Divebomb), R-05 Fortis (Headstrong) and R-06 Tigris (rampage) standing alongside the final product images of R-03 Bovis (Tantrum) and R-04 Leo Dux (Razorclaw). Standing behind those five figures is the big man himself, Feral Rex. Shown in several poses including holding his massive sword out flat with both hands and standing at his full 12 and a half inches.
The next figure due out is Leo Dux and should be out late this month or early November. Check out the images, courtesy of Mastermind Creation's Facebook page by clicking the title bar. |
