Unique Toys are showing off their next project after their Predaking at the New York Comic Con. They are releasing an unofficial, unlicensed version of the Decepticon commander Galvatron, which they have named Messiah. A resin hardcopy prototype is on show, standing on a CGI concept sheet showing the colors and a glimpse of the alternate form.
Check out a picture of this project, courtesy of NurseMidnight via Twitter. Update - Unique Toys also has prototypes of an unofficial Blaster and Sharkticon (the latter courtesy of Radio Free Cybertron) on show. Both closely follow the original Generation 1 toys but are more detailed. New images provided by boards member Hailstarscream also shows that the not-Galvatron is named Mania King, rather than Messiah. |

An update on our previous report on Harmony Gold's attempted suit against Hasbro, over the San Diego Comic Con 2013 exclusive GI Joe VS Transformers Jetfire set. According to papers posted on PACER and reposted by Generals Joes, the case "is dismissed in its entirity with prejudice".
Effectively what this means is Harmony Gold and Hasbro have settled the case out of court. What that settlement entailed is not set out, chances are the general fandom public will never know. |

TFW2005 friend and sponsor BigBadToyStore has just listed pre-orders for a reissue of the highly sought after Masterpiece Grimlock MP-08 figure! According to BBTS pre-order listing:
This figure includes a bonus coin that converts to a crown and flame cover that goes on his sword. The box will be the same as the original MP-08 box. The figure is currently listed to be due out in January of 2014. What do you think - good opportunity to finally have this Masterpiece figure? Edit: TFW2005 friend and sponsor TFsource has also put up a pre-order listing for this reissue. |

Last week, we brought you the news of Autobot Hound in Hong Kong for Transformers 4: Age Of Extinction. It was told back then that some of the cars will arrive later as well.
Today, thanks to Global Car Wanted, we’ve learned that Bumblebee (Chevrolet Camaro) and the Pagani Zonda has followed Hound and has arrived in Hong Kong. Check out the pics, after the jump. |

IDW have issued a press release about the new Transformers and G.I. Joe crossover miniseries, which we can now confirm is going to be its own, standalone continuity. The press release mentions that the series will be coming next summer - artist and co-writer Tom Scioli says of the series: "We're asking big questions. Is war an inevitable condition of life? What is free will? What is the future of man and machine as the line between them becomes increasingly blurred? The G.I. JOE team is trained to deal with dangerous situations and this is the ultimate test of their training. The TRANSFORMERS characters push the boundaries of what shapes life can take in this infinite universe of ours. Perhaps it will be a machine that teaches us what it is to be human."
In a tweet, Tom Scioli adds to this by saying "This Transformers vs. Joe script is the closest I've come to attempting the scope of what Kirby was aiming at with New Gods." We've been told previously this would be a series on a cosmic scope, and co-writer John Barber says that "it harkens back to classic comic traditions—and to the origins of the TRANSFORMERS and G.I. JOE characters—but feels constantly, irrepressibly new!" The series is coming next summer, as a part of the anniversary celebration of both Transformers and G.I. Joe - be sure to pick it up when it hits comic stores! Read on for the original text of the press release which came to us via Comic Book Resources. |

A new listing on Amazon.com provides us with a small tease at a bit of 30th anniversary of Transformers tie-in merchandise. What is listed is a light-up Optimus Prime bust which comes with a 48 page book containing quotes and pictures from the original 1980s cartoon. It is set for a 14th of May 2014 release - mere days after where the 30th anniversary itself falls. The list price is $12.95. No pictures or other information is posted on there yet, but it seems like this will be the first of many items released to coincide with 30 years of the robots in disguise.

This year's membership renewal freebie from the Transformers Collectors Club was Depth Charge. Depth Charge was a Maximal from Beast Wars, who journeyed to Earth in pursuit of his nemesis, Protoform X, aka Rampage. In the same style as Fun Publications' past Beast Wars "Dawn of Futures Past" Botcon exclusives, Depth Charge here is realized with a vehicular mode, using the Hunt for the Decepticons Terradive mold.
Timelines Depth Charge is a great figure and really works well on the mold. This is a straight-up redeco - there is no new head tooling or anything involved, just new colors - but the deco works so well that there is no questioning that this is a version of Depth Charge. The jet mode also perfectly recalls the manta ray alternate mode of the original Beast Wars Depth Charge, and even the trident accessory, with its connotations of the sea, works well with this toy. Timelines Depth Charge is an amazing deco on an already great toy and is worthy of a place in any collection, either as a stand alone piece, or as a companion piece to the Botcon 2006 Dawn of Futures Past set or next year's Transformers Collectors Club exclusive, the aforementioned arch-rival Rampage! Check out our gallery and see why this fan is raving about this toy! Transformers Timelines Depth Charge Gallery |

Yahoo News is reporting that a big battle is to take place in Hong Kong for Transformers: Age of Extinction. According to the site, Transformers 4 filming will take place in Victoria Harbor, Central Bank of China Tower, Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center, Wan Chai District, Sham Shui Po District, the Kowloon Peninsula and the old areas. But the crew is still in process of obtaining permission to film in certain areas.
Also, Xinhuanet is reporting that Michael Bay is to arrive later. The shooting will go on for 10 to 14 days. The article also reveals a minor plot detail (which you can read, after the jump). |

Fun Publications have sent out a few updates on the Transformers Figure Subscription Service tonight. First and foremost, a reminder to those considering buying this years set, which includes Chromedome, Rewind, Fisitron / Ironfist, Treadshot, Barricade and Thrustinator - the deadline to sign up to buy these toys is this Thursday, 17 October 2013. Sign up in advance and the last figure in the six will include a mystery bonus figure, which will not be sold on the Transformers Collectors Club store!
Second on the subject of sixth figures in the set, the sixth release in the first set of Transformers Figure Subscription Service figures will be shipping out soon. Ultra Mammoth, an Ultra Magnus themed redeco of the Big Convoy toy from Beast Wars Neo, rounds out the first year of the set. If you have changed address in the last 30 days you need to inform the Transformers Collectors Club before 21st October at 8am Central Time with your new address details. Lastly, the fourth release in the Figure Subscription Service, Breakdown, has gone up on the Transformers Collectors Club store for purchase. Breakdown is a very handsome redeco of the Universe Sideswipe mold using the tooling of the Botcon 2010 Generation 2 Breakdown - if you're on the fence, check out our gallery of Breakdown to get an idea of why this is one cool little toy. |

Latest images from Hong Kong seems to suggest Dino / Mirage will return for Transformers: Age Of Extinction. The robot made its debut on Transformers: Dark Of The Moon and quickly went on to become one of the favorite bots from the Live Action Movie Franchise. Though officially called as Dino (in honor of the late song of Ferrari Corporation Founder) he was known as Mirage on various merchandise including the Official Game, Comic Book and SpeedStars Toy Car from Hasbro.
The vehicle mode of Dino / Mirage on DOTM was a Ferrari 458 Italia; known as one of the best Ferraris ever made by Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear (and Hammond… and May). However, the spy photos from Hong Kong are of a 2014 Ferrari 458 Italia Speciale. If it is indeed Dino / Mirage, then he too may have received an upgrade like his cool buddy Sideswipe of Transformers 3. Stick with TFW2005 as we bring you more info. Image courtesy: NextMedia. |
