The Spacebridge has added some cool new images to his Facebook gallery of Prototype Transformers Images. Shown off in this update is a rare look at a Generation 1 toy prototype - the prototype of the Generation 1 Dinobot pterodactyl Swoop, which was used on Swoop's box photography. This prototype when compared to the final version has a few changes, including less rounded wingtips, and gold chrome parts on the dinosaur feet, lower jaw, and missiles - all of which would be flat red plastic in the final release.
Also in this update is a rare look at the unreleased Transformers Energon Megatron redeco, which would have come with a pack-in of the World's Smallest Transformable Transformers Soundwave. These images are the unphotoshopped versions of what would have been the official photos of this toy, used on the packaging photography. Like the unreleased Optimus Prime this toy never saw the light of day outside of a few isolated prototype leaks, so check out this rare look at this pair of aborted Energon Leader-class redecos. |

The Spacebridge has shared some more images of some very rare early Transformers lore on Facebook. Back in the 1980s, Takara had intended to release the second series of Minibots - Cosmos, Beachcomber, Powerglide, Seaspray and Warpath - in alternate decos, much as they did with Astrotrain. These rarely seen images showcase what those alternate decos would have looked like, and include a grey Powerglide with green limbs, a Beachcomber and a Seaspray with red elements where the US releases had grey and white, respectively, a green Warpath and a blue Cosmos. The latter two decos would eventually be released by e-Hobby in 2004, along with a different alternate deco to Powerglide, an image of which was shown in an early Takara catalog (image originally posted on the TFwiki)
Be sure to check out more images of these rare Transformers prototypes in The Spacebridge's Prototype Transformers Facebook gallery. |

Amazon.com has updated their preorders for the upcoming Beast Hunters deluxe wave 6 figures. This wave of deluxes will be the first wave of the upscaled Cyberverse toys. These new images show robot, alternate mode and in package pictures of the way. The new packages feature a promotional tagline of having only five steps. A new initiative with Hasbro to simplify the figures for younger fans who may have had trouble over the last few years with complicated Transformations. The wave consists of two Autobots and two dragon Predacons. The packaging images of the two Predacons do not clarify or not whether these upscaled Cyberverse toys will combine like their Legion counterparts. At least, not yet.
You can check out the new images of Smokescreen, Bumblebee, Twinstrike and Windrazor by clicking the title bar. |

eHobby has sent out an e-mail announcing a partnership with TakaraTomy mall. They have announced a new Transformers side story entitled "Transformers Cloud". More information will be available on the 15th of November. Not much else is known at this time. This could be new exclusive toys or just fiction. Time will tell. Keep it on TFW and make sure to check back with us on the 15th for that additional information.

Planet X has updated their Facebook page with new colored pictures of their upcoming unofficial Fall of Cybertron Swoop figure, PX-02 Caelus. This unofficial Swoop figure is looking sharp and homages the video game figure extremely well. The pictures show off the figure in both modes as well as comparison shots with Generations Voyager Grimlock. It's scheduled release date is early next year.

Amazon.ca has updated their product listings for Generations Legends Class two packs Cosmos with Payload and Skrapnel with Reflector with new official images including official in-package images - be sure to check them out! Cosmos and Payload are a part of the third assortment of "Thrilling 30" two packs along with Swerve, while Skrapnel and Reflector, who turns into a tiny camera that larger Transformers can use, come in the fourth assortment with Tailgate and Groundbuster.
For those who are understandably confused on the names - Skrapnel was originally shown off under the name Sharpshot, the name the character used in Transformers Fall of Cybertron. However for this release, Hasbro is calling him Skrapnel - only one letter removed from what the guy was known as back in Generation 1, Shrapnel. |

An image from a recent trade show reposted on JoBlo has revealed something cool - and ever so slightly spoilerish - for Transformers 4 Age of Extinction. The image shows off a bit of artwork featuring a mechanical dinosaur - one of the Dinobots, "Ivan" also known as Grimlock. But that's not all. Look a little closer if you do not mind being spoiled, and you'll see a sword and shield wielding Optimus Prime riding on Grimlock.
If this piece of artwork - which we imagine might be for the toyline, possibly a Toys R Us or Target display - translates into the film itself, it will be an awesome and draw dropping battle spectacle. |

What we want to share with you now is a promising new third party project. This one does not infringe on any of Hasbro's existing IPs - it is a completely new project. Introducing BMOG: Bio-Mechanical Ordnance Gestalts. These Zoid-style beasts are part mechanical animal and part building system. They can break down from their combined mechanical animal forms into a selection of weapons, all with 5mm pegs, which allow the different sets to arm up your Transformers (or any other toys you might have with 5mm peg holes) or indeed you can combine the various sets to make larger beasts or robots.
One other point of interest are the people behind this project - Trent Troop, Greg Sepelak, and Alex Androski. Trent and Greg you might know for their work with Botcon license holders Fun Publications, and they have also worked with Hasbro before, while Alex Androski is formerly of Hasbro too, having worked on the Transformers Universe and Revenge of the Fallen toylines. So this project has some serious pedigree behind it - find out more about BMOG at the BMOG homepage, or read on by hitting the discuss link below to read Trent Troop's latest release on this crowd-funded project. |

Hobby Ark Toy Store has posted some new information about the rumored Year of the Horse Special Edition Transformers on Facebook. The pair, reused or redecoed versions of Transformers Cybertron Supreme Starscream and Year of the Horse Optimus Prime, are both being suggested for a release in early 2014. That's not all though, Hobby Ark has also passed along the following bits of information:
Year of the Horse Starscream Price=SGD$135 (about $108 USD), ETA=Dec13/Jan14 *Various metallic paint application to the figure *Special edition box *Supreme class figure Year of the Horse Optimus Prime Price=SGD$160 (about $128 USD), ETA=Dec13/Jan14 *Smokestack, grill and window in Gold colour *Various metallic paint application *Special "Autobot Year of Horse" faction logo *Special edition box *Masterpiece figure What is interesting in this listing is that the replacement of silver chrome areas with gold on the Year of the Horse Optimus Prime may homage one of the Lucky Draw Convoys Takara released years back. We will not know for certain, though, until pictures of these special editions are released. |

Some in hand images of the upcoming Transformers Generations Voyager Rhinox have been posted over at ACtoys. This Voyager Class Beast Wars Classics figure upsizes Rhinox from his original Deluxe Class toy, and gives him not one but two chainguns of doom. He is one of the single most awesome looking Transformers to come along in a line that has consistently wowed with its Voyager class this year; and these images suggest Rhinox is starting to make his way out into the wild in Asia, suggesting western fans including this newsie should not have to wait too long to get their hands on this mighty Maximal.

Augusto Barranco has uploaded some concept artwork he did for Transformers Prime to his Deviant Art page. The concepts include several shots of Dreadwing's ship, shown only briefly in the series itself, as well as the iconic setting of the bridge of the Decepticon warship Nemesis and the gorgeous artwork used in series for the flashbacks in the season 1 finale, showing the early days of the war for Cybertron and Primus' original 13 Transformers.
