“HLJ rolls out the black carpet this year with additional discounts off our already low discounted prices on just about everything in the catalog! Sorry, we can't do books and other printed materials, but everything else is fair game. And remember, that's not just a simple discount off the retail price...that's an additional discount off already discounted items, many already steeply discounted! So, there are plenty of outstanding deals to be had! Anything with a "Black Friday" tag on it will show the special Black Friday sale percentage and sale price right there on the item page. iGear have unveiled a new reworking of their PP-05 Specialist mold. The Defence Specialist is an unlicensed version of Protectobot First Aid complete with new First Aid inspired deco and a new head modeled after the Protectobot. It is also shown with three additional heads, all based on the Autobot Ratchet - one based on the cartoon and one based on the comic, with a third head giving Ratchet a distinguished "aged" look by way of a beard. This one is listed as available now - so presumably iGear have already released him!

E-Hobby have posted the first story chapter of Transformers Cloud online. The story chapter is accompanied by an illustration showing various characters, the majority of whom are drawn from existing Transformers classic-themed lines, with Optimus Prime and Megatron being the new Transformers Cloud exclusives.
There's one exception though - to the left of the image Hot Rod (called Hot Rodimus in the story). He's not an existing toy. He seems to be a Rodimus themed redeco of the Generations Voyayger Springer mold. Could this be a teasing first look at an upcoming Transformers Cloud exclusive, or just something the artist threw in because the script called for Hot Rod to be there? Watch this space for more news. |

Some images posted via Weibo have given us our first look at the Platinum Edition Year of the Horse Starscream. He is a redeco of the Transformers Cybertron Supreme Starscream, one of the largest Transformers toys from last decade, sporting a Generation 1 inspired deco. In fact the deco also seems to take a few cues from the Legends Class Starscream which was given away as a freebie with pre-orders of Transformers War for Cybertron (check out some images of that one here). Check out the image of this new Platinum edition figure at left and see what you think.

This one is another rumor for the rumor mill, so take it with a pinch of salt.
2005 Boards member Moroni Prime noticed that on the Kre-O Nation site, when creating your username you are offered a list of Transformers names, all bar one of which are existing Kreons. The one who is not? Tailgate. Does this mean that a Kreon Tailgate is in the works, or does it just mean whoever was tasked with picking out the list of Transformers names just like the name Tailgate and put him on the list (we should point out the list draws heavily on characters from Transformers Prime, the movie series and the War for Cybertron game - and Tailgate was a character in Transformers Prime). That being said, there is a Windcharger Kreon out there, so a white redeco may not be beyond the realms of imagination. For now though, take this with a grain of salt. Image attached to this story taken from the signature of 2005 Boards member SPLIT LIP, because More than Meets the Eye Tailgate is awesome. |

Perfect Effect have posted some new images of a color testshot of their upcoming Warden not-Fortress Maximus. Warden transforms into a head for the original Fortress Maximus but can also transform into a tank in his own right, and comes equipped with a gigantic cannon which is bigger than he is - and this gun can be used as a hand cannon by the original Fortress Maximus too.

78dm.net has revealed 3 black and white images of Transformers: Age Of Extinction Toys featuring Hound (code name Duke), Swoop (Code name Paulie) and Bumblebee.
It’s interesting to note that the images confirm some of the coded names revealed via Hasbro Customer Care Official Web Page. Our members decoded the names back then and are right on the money regarding Hound and Swoop. The toys belong to the previously revealed Power Attackers sub line of the main Transformers 4 toyline. The new toy images reveal the possible confirmation of who the Dinobots has sworn their aligence to. Perhaps ending a long debate at our Movie Forum. The toy image of Bumblebee also confirms the previously revealed License Magazine images, thus completing the confirmation of Autobot trio; Optimus Prime, Grimlock and Bumblebee. Checkout the images after the jump. |

We're back with our next gallery from the upcoming Generations IDW Deluxes Wave 3, and this time we've got a Predacon for you. We're not talking about the dragons from Beast Hunters or the original five from Generation 1 either, we're talking about the Beast Wars Predacons and Hall of Fame Fan's Choice winner Waspinator!
Waspinator is one of the two complete new molds in this assortment of Generations Deluxes. He is an excellently done little deluxe toy, and very accurate to the look of the CGI model of the character in the show in robot mode. The beast mode suffers a little with exposed robot hands, but is otherwise an excellently realized beast mode. In beast mode, Waspinator's insect legs can be adjusted to allow him to balance on them - which was something very few insects from the Beast Wars era could accomplish. In both modes Waspinator's wings can be made to flap at the push of a button, which is a cool feature but I'd have liked a way to lock them in the "up" position for flying poses. In robot mode, Waspinator's knees are a little restricted, which does limit his poseability a little. Overall though these are very minor flaws which are easy enough to overlook. Waspinator is a solid release with an excellent design and a brilliant likeness to the show design of Waspinator. If you're a fan of Beast Wars or just a fan of Waspinator as a character, this is one toy that you will want to pick up. As always, open up the link below to see our gallery and judge for yourself: Generations Deluxe Waspinator Gallery |

By way of this post on 78dm.net we have our first look at three Transformers 4 Age of Extinction toys. Shown here for the first time anywhere are toy pictures of Bumblebee, Hound (under his codename Duke) and Strafe (under his codename Paulie). These are labelled us as a part of the Power Attackers / Power Battlers subline, which from the leaked Hasbro toy list a while back we know is not the main line - by appearances these three are from a Fast Action Battlers styled subline. All three sport nice chunky and simple looking transformations, but also have some nice details on them. Check them out at the link above.

Rounding out our look at the Generations Deluxe IDW Comics Wave 3 is a look at Skids! Skids is a talented Autobot - a theoretician by training, he is also an "outlier", an Autobot with an unusual talent, which in his case is the ability to learn at an exceptional speed. He was picked up by the crew of the Lost Light suffering from memory loss and joined their quest to search for the Knights of Cybertron. As such he is a very special toy, because not only is he the last of the 1984 and 1985 cars to get a Classics update, but he is also a member of the Lost Light crew, which are always welcome releases.
Skids is a really fun toy. He is not flawless, because he does have a bit of limited movement in his shoulders and his backpack does sometimes make him a little tricky to balance. But he also has a very sharp look, strongly conveying both the concept of an updated version of Generation 1 Skids and also capturing the feel of the character from the comic. He also has an absolute mountain of weaponry, including two double-barreled shoulder cannons, two shoulder mounted banks of missiles, 8 missiles per shoulder, twin lasers in each arm which swing out to either side of the wrist, plus liquid nitrogen rifle and the nudge gun. The latter two weapons can combine into a larger weapon. Almost all these weapons can tuck away as well, so Skids can be displayed in a nice variety of configurations. All in all, Skids is a good release, and a lot of fun. He is very much the spirit of a Classics update of the original toy, and the sheer amount of guns makes for lots of posing options. If the shoulders had a little more freedom to move, he'd probably be perfect. Even so, with his wave now hitting US retail, I cannot recommend this one enough. He's worth hunting down and adding to your collection. Check out the gallery at the link below and see for yourself. Generations Deluxe Skids Gallery |

By way of Toyworld.com.hk, we have some scans of the December edition of Figure King magazine. The headlines here are that the decos of the Japanese Armada Starscream and Mini-Con Team are now revealed. The Mini-Cons are largely unaltered from their US releases - Starscream however has a black cockpit, thinner red stripes on the trim of his wings, additional off-white detailing on his boots and red feet, among other changes. Generally the changes make him more closely resemble the animation model of Transformers Armada Starscream.
Along with the coverage we previously reported on of the new Transformers Cloud Optimus Prime and Megatron, there is some coverage of the December Japanese Generations series releases Sandstorm and the Legends Class Megatron, Starscream, Chop Shop and Waspinator four pack. Rounding it all off is a look at Masterpiece Smokescreen, and a look at the Kabaya Gum DX Wave 2 set of Overlord and Road Caesar - with the Brainmasters and Powermasters seemingly being intact in spite of the reduced sizes of the kits! |

"Discussing war politics between the autobots & decepticons over dinner w/ #michaelbay s4te #transformers4" Mr. Aoki recently collaborated with Linkin Park to deliver a song for their latest album "Recharged" (not counting Underground 13). Site sponsor TFsource has sent out a catalog for the holiday season and it contains some looks at new 3rd party unofficial Transformer products. First up, is the next project from Mastermind Creations. Terminus Rapidus will be a Quickswitch homage and has cleverly been teased before in the form of their "Steelian Scientist" teasers (Cyclops, Doctrinus Scope, Physicus Tempest) which were all Mastermind Creations way of showing the various alternate modes. This doesn't mean these figures won't be released, just that Terminus Rapidus is most likely first. To top off this exciting news, Mastermind Creations has sent us a clear picture of the prototype!
Also shown in the TFsource catalog is our first look at the individual images of Maketoys next combiner, Quantron. This is our first look at the individual vehicle modes of the groups next combiner homage of G1 Computron. You can join the discussion for the Maketoys Quantron in vehicle modes in the thread here, or click on the title bar to discuss Mastermind Creations Terminus Rapidus |
