Thanks to an image of a Walmart Display assembled to advertise upcoming Transformers: Age Of Extinction toys, we have a clear look at Flat-Nose Truck Optimus Prime in Robot Mode. It seems as though it's a fun little nod to G1 Optimus Prime and since this is the 30th Anniversary year of the Transformers Franchise, the timing couldn't be more perfect.

You can also spot Bumblebee in his new robot mode and some placeholder product packaging with the current "Transformers" Logo.

Checkout the image, after the jump.

And now for something a little different. Hasbro has uploaded a new video to their YouTube channel featuring the Age of Extinction First Edition Optimus Prime and the toy's designer, Lenny Panzica.

While the video itself may be light on content or substance, we here at TFW2005 thought it would be nice to share with our viewers.

Stay tuned to TFW2005 as we bring you the latest coverage of Transformers as it happens, including New York Toy Fair 2014 coverage next week!

Now, it is our pleasure to reveal Transformers: Age Of Extinction Bumblebee 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Robot Mode.

The image comes courtesy of Disguise, but it was so small that we had to enlarge it to get a better look.

Here is something for the little kids. Montco Crafts will be manufacturing Pop-Outz based on the Transformers Franchise.

These "Pop-Outz" are small color activity boards which the kids can "pop-out" after coloring and use them as standees.

The company has manufactured them before, but going forward the product line will carry out the new Transformers Product Packaging.

Thanks to an eBay auction by delicateangel01, we have with us some images of Transformers: Age Of Extinction Bumblebee Arm Cannon Prototype.

This prototype is a part of Disguise Costumes' Halloween 2014 product line and is titled Bumblebee Deluxe Light And Sound Cannon. According to the sticker on the back of the packaging, this is a handmade prototype but thanks to the packaging, we have a general idea on the color scheme as well.

The prototype is sold out on eBay for $31.

Facebook turned 10 and gave everyone a chance to look back at their life on Facebook. It so happens that the Official Transformers Facebook Page took this as an opportunity to promote Transformers: Age Of Extinction.

The result is a very cool look back at the trilogy, albeit short, enough to touch the hearts of Transformers Live Action Movie Series Fans. Enjoy:

As the Wonder Festival 2014 Coverage begins to slow down for Transformers, we get to the strangest possible story from tonight. Teased a while back via Takara Tomy's webpage, the long teased shadow of a possible Megatron toy in their upcoming Takara Tomy ARTS toyline has been revealed to be something quite strange indeed: A Transforming Sega Mega Drive (Or Sega Genesis, for North American readers) that turns into a Generation 1 Megatron.

No, that's not a typo, and no you're not hallucinating.

Part of a partnership with SEGA, this upcoming release is part of a subline of Takara Tomy ARTS alongside Video Game Robotics HD and Microman Arts, and while the prototype itself is extremely rough, a recently placed sign by staff members working the display has revealed that the upcoming Transformers Crossovers/Device Label-esque toy will in fact transform from Sega Mega Drive to Megatron.

It is unknown if this toy is a one-shot release, or if this is merely a harbinger of what is to come into this fledgling toyline (One would hope an OptiSNES Prime would be there to combat Mega Drive Megatron) but stay tuned to TFW2005 as we bring you the latest (and sometimes strangest) news as it happens.

While the New York Toy Fair isn't until next week (and believe us, the TFW2005 Network will have you covered on that), Wonder Festival is currently going on in Japan, and while Takara Tomy isn't showing anything from the main Transformers lines, there are still plenty of new Transformers products to be found.

First off, Art Storm/Fewture Models (aka the guys who made that insanely detailed and expensive UltiMetal Optimus Prime) have shown off some new products: Namely, statues (At least as far as we know these are statues) of Grimlock, Optimus Prime, and Alpha Trion! They are also showing a GIANT Unicron Head replica, and Super Deformed toys of Optimus Prime and Rodimus Prime, topped off with their previously mentioned UltiMetal Optimus Prime.

Stay tuned to TFW2005 as we bring you more Wonder Festival 2014 news as it goes live.

The news just keeps on coming from the currently ongoing Wonder Festival 2014 in Japan, this time via CMs Corp who not only have on display their previously released Gutto Kuru Minerva and previously revealed Spike and Daniel Witwicky with Exo-Suits, but a teaser image of an upcoming release with a silhouette that resembles none other than Deathsaurus (Or Deathzarus or Deszarus or... look, he's got a lot of names.) from Transformers: Victory. It is not currently known how or what this teaser is foreshadowing, other than the possibility of Deathsaurus.

Thanks to Icespark of our 2005 Boards, we have news of the next TRU exclusive Masterpiece figure: Sunstorm! Sunstorm's code number in the TRU inventory system is 311207, he is tentatively priced the same as Acid Storm, $74.99, and he can be found in the system under the name "TRA SUNSTORM MASTERPIECE". You can't get much more specific than that!

There is no information at this time on release date or differences in paint apps between this and the Takara release. Stay with us for more information soon!

Thanks to Icespark of our 2005 Boards, we have an interesting listing for a new Grimlock toy in the TRU inventory system. The figure's name in the system is "TRA Stomp Chomp Grim," the item number is 951007 and the vendor number is A6145.

At this time we do not know what exactly this figure is, or even if it is for an action figure at all. The name implies a toy for younger children, likely for the upcoming Age of Extinction movie. However, the price is a whopping $79.99!

What do you think this listing if for? Reissue of Masterpiece Grimlock? A VERY large AOE figure? Perhaps a children's riding toy? Chime in on our thread with your ideas!

Thanks to an eBay listing by eBay member clamar2120, we now have a few photos of what might be the long rumored Generations Leader Jetfire toy. While the photos are very grainy and look to be altered, the resemblance to Generation One Skyfire/Jetfire is uncanny.

This release was originally leaked via a Hasbro Database error back in October.

Stay tuned to TFW2005 as we bring you the latest news as it happens, and stay tuned with us next week as our New York Toy Fair coverage begins!

EDIT: Thanks to a user on 4chan's /toy/ known only as Hound, we now have a full image of the upcoming toy, featuring his true colors, alternate head/mask gimmick, as well as his full booster pod weaponry set.

iGear have updated their Facebook page with new images of their Raptor Squadron Star-Burst, Sky-Wind and Thunder-Wrath. The trio are unofficial versions of the IDW Comics F-22 Raptor versions of Starscream, Skywarp and Thundercracker. These were originally shown back in July last year, but have now undergone multiple mold changes to sharpen the lines and improve the head sculpts - but are they still of interest now that Hasbro have released a Legends class version of this design?

Nelson; the admin of Michael Bay Official Website has "hinted" that the Theatrical Trailer for Transformers: Age Of Extinction will be "ready" next month. He has told this while answering that the scenes from the Superbowl Spot were not in a chronological order.

"That trailer is not in chronological order. Rumor has it the theatrical trailer will be ready in about a month or so."

For Transformers: Dark Of The Moon by this time last time, a Teaser Trailer and 2 TV Spots were already released. Which were then followed by the Theatrical Trailer late April.

If the AOE Theatrical Trailer will release in March, it's a bit tough to guess a movie it will release with. 300: Rise of an Empire is a certified 3D, 2D and IMAX movie... however its R rating may not capture younger audience. Next possible candidates being Need For Speed and Muppets: Most Wanted.

What do you think? If the trailer will indeed be released in March, which movie will accompany it? Leave your thoughts, at the thread associated with this news post.

The Takara versions of these fan favorite figures feature a more metallic and glossy finish to the decos, including a very slick looking paint job on Rhinox's weapons which gives them show accuracy.

Check out the images after the jump and let us know if you're holding out for the Takara versions!

Before this week gets too insane, with the New York Toy Fair event coming up this weekend, we here at TFW2005 have one last Wonder Festival 2014 story to share with you.

First off, we would like to post a correction to an earlier story: The recently revealed silhouette from the CMs Corps booth at Wonder Festival was not actually Deathsaurus, according to Autobase Aichi. The silhouette is actually of the titular robot Acrobunch from the 1982 anime series Makyo Densetsu Acrobunch, and therefore not an actual Transformers character or product. Many apologies to any members out there who may have gotten their hopes up and subsequently smacked back down.

Secondly, we have a bunch of high resolution photographs of many of the Transformers related products at the Wonder Festival event, including clearer shots of Ultimetal Optimus Prime, Fewture Statues of Optimus Prime, Alpha Trion and Grimlock, the GIANT Unicron head statue and more- Including previously revealed EM Gokin and ES Gokin Roadbusters, Sentinel's non-transforming articulated G1 Scorponok, a Garage Kit of Optimus Prime with Matrix and a Super Deformed Fortress Maximus garage kit!

Special thanks to personal friend WondAnon for doing me a favor and taking these photos specifically for our coverage. You can check out the exclusive photos by clicking the story header or by simply just clicking here.

Also, swing on by our sister site ToyArk.com to check out the other Wonder Festival reveals from toylines such as Revoltech, Figma, and ThreeZero! And stay with us here on TFW2005 as we bring you the latest toy coverage as it happens. And don't forget: This weekend is ALSO the New York Toy Fair, where our staff will be on hand to bring you the latest toy news for Transformers: Age of Extinction, Generations and more! Stay tuned.

Charticon, the unofficial Transformers convention of North Carolina, recently posted an update to their request from fans that we previously reported here. To refresh, the organizers posted a survey in which they asked any fan wishing to attend to give feedback and also detail things they'd like to see. You can read the full press release after the jump, but we'll give you a digest version:
  • Several attendee answers were highlighted, and the overwhelming responsive of fans LOVING the show;
  • the size of the convention as very favorable, with many fans preferring the show to "official" conventions;
  • a target date in August, which is similar to the last show;
  • many guests were requested by fans, and the organizers of the convention are looking to secure more guests along with getting the previous guests to return;
  • an opening/closing event is desirable, and the organizers making plans to accommodate;
  • attendees want a one-night concert scene;
  • fan art contests, such as tee-shirt designs and even a Fan Art Gallery for the show are being planned now;
  • cos-play was very popular, and much more is being planned;
  • Fan involvement with the assisting with operation of the convention was requested by a great many attendees, with the organizers looking for more ways to involve more people;
    [*more prizes, and more exclusives are desired;
  • trivia will return, redesigned for more involvement;
  • media room for Transformers movie and games will be accessible throughou the convention
  • the venue used was highly favorable, but options elsewhere are being considered as well due to request.
The big news is that the first phase of Charticon 2015 starts soon with a special event starting March 1 named the Charticon Club!

Be sure to check out Charticon's website, as well as their Facebook page and their Twitter feed. Stay tuned to TFW2005.COM for all of the latest news from Charticon and other Transformers conventions as well!
