Rounding out the official images we have received from Hasbro, we have a look at the Transformers Hero Mashers. It's a series which takes from many eras of Transformers including Drift from Age of Extinction and the Generation 1 Optimus Prime. These non-transformable toys can interchange their parts - or "mash up" - to create unique robot designs!

Two different assortments were listed in the official images we received:

Hero Mashers Figures Assortment - includes Bumblebee, Springer, Starscream and Age of Extinction's Drift

Hero Mashers Battle Upgrade Assortment - includes Optimus Prime, Megatron and Bulkhead

Activision has sent us two screenshots to go with the announcement of their new Transformers video game, Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark. This game which will feature both Fall of Cybertron and Transformers Age of Extinction coming together in a single adventure is coming later in 2014. In these screenshots we have Fall of Cybertron Optimus Prime blasting away, and Age of Extinction Grimlock unleashing his flame breath on Earth amid an industrial area. Read on to check them out.

By way of Game Informer, Edge of Reality will be developing the console versions of Rise of the Dark Spark, not High Moon Studios. Edge of Reality previously worked on bringing Mass Effect 3 to the WiiU, and helped Bioware develop Dragon Age Origins. The 3DS version will be developed by Wayforward (Developer of games such as the Shantae series, Mighty Switch Force, Ducktales Remastered and the 2009 A Boy and His Blob reboot), and will be a Tactical RPG game.

Comic book website Bleeding Cool has sat down with fan-favorite Transformers writer James Roberts for a lengthy interview. In it, he gives details about the early days of his writing, about his involvement with Transformers, provides some commentary for what has happened in Transformers: More than Meets the Eye thus far, and even gives a few teases for what's in store in the comic's second season. The latter of course means that this interview does contain some possible SPOILERS for future events.

Check it out after the jump, then discuss in the thread!

Renderform have announced their next two customisation kits for your Classics Transformers toys. These next releases revisit some of their earlier projects. RF-014 Spy Jack is an alternate head for the Walmart exclusive Universe Skyfall, modeled on the look of the head to the original Generation 2 Skyjack. RF-015 Nightshade is an alternate head for the Toys R Us exclusive Universe Darkwind, based on the head to the original Generation 1 Darkwing. As mentioned both of these kits are newer versions of kits that Renderform has done previously - these new ones feature even better detailing than the originals.

Renderform are also doing a bunch of variant sets, all limited to 10-15 pieces. They are Mach Red V2, a red Spy Jack set; Spy Jack Stealth Edition with clear guns; Agent Spook, a silver Spy Jack set with metallic guns; and Mach Viper, a red version of the Nightshade set. Check out full details on the Renderform homepage.

More Transformers toy goodness coming to you now! Hasbro has sent us official images of the not-cancelled-after-all Kre-O Transformers series. These Age of Extinction Kre-Os are now moving in a different direction to the earlier Kre-O sets and are focusing primarily on Kreons - the build sets, for example, consist of Kreons with buildable Dinobots or smaller bases, with the Lockdown Air Raid set giving us a buildable spacefighter craft that seats a Kreon.

That's not all though as these new official images include a look at the four new Age of Extinction custom Kreons, the four new Age of Extinction combiners, and the fifth wave of Kreon blindbags - which, while advertised in the files as movie sets, are very much still Generation 1 inspired and include Kreon minifigures of the likes of Jetfire, Mindwipe, Nightbeat, Dead End and Highbrow!

The full listing of what we have for you here is as follows:

Kre-O Build Sets - Cell Block Breakout, Dinobot Hauler, Dinobot Charge, Galvatron Factory Battle, Lockdown Air Raid, Grimlock Street Attack, and Street Chase

Movie series Custom Kreons - Drift, Lockdown, Optimus Prime and Ratchet

Movie series Kreon Combiners - Grimstone (Mollox, Ironeye, Crackback and Iquanox), Lazerbolt (Freezeout, Bullhorn, Floodgate and Roadhound), Obsidian (Freefall, Hemocron, Bullwark and Stronghorn), Volcanicon (Farside, Power Surge, Liftoff and Lugmutt)

"Movie series" Micro Changers - 12 different ones shown, some of whom may be new characters to go with the new Kreon Combiner sets. The names have been confirmed as (left to right) Wingspan, Fangwolf (based on Cybertron Snarl), Jetwash (based on Generation 1 Jetfire), Silversnout, Misfire, Mindwipe, Nightbeat, Trypticon, Jarugar (from Transformers Victory), Highbrow, Torosaur and Skrapnel.

Activision has put out a press release on the newly announced new Transformers video game title, Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark. The release bills the game as a complement to the upcoming Transformers: Age of Extinction, as well as a follow-up to War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron.

Some key points from the press release are as follows:
  • "Over 40 playable characters" will be featured in the game.
  • The titular "Dark Spark" is an ancient relic as powerful as the Matrix of Leadership. The story is described as an arc between Cybertron and Earth, "jumping worlds as it weaves the tale of the hunt for the ancient relic".
  • Gameplay is "nimble, fast-paced running-and-gunning combat paired with traversal and vehicle action across open battlefields for large-scale, dynamic conflicts."
  • Escalation mode with its wave-based, survival-style gameplay with four player co-op returns and there will be recognizable adversaries to fight here.
  • Single-player and multiplayer will feature one unified, persistent character development path, with experience earned in any part of the game unlocking new options including new characters, weapons and abilities.
  • The game is coming out on current generation and last generation consoles - Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4 and Playstation 3, as well as the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS. A Windows PC version is also planned.
Click here or read on to view the original release. Also check out the cool new screenshots attached to this story via CVG US.

More photos from our team at Toy Fair 2014 for you. We have some images of the many various licensed Transformers items that Tech4kids are making. These include things like slingshots and mashable figures with disturbingly large heads, to a nice Bumblebee Light Guardian that in style resembles the Unleashed figure from the 2007 Movie. There are also some Bumblebee themed "Hulk Hands" in the works by Tech4kids, amongst other items.

Check out all the images attached to this post, which includes a look at some nice promotional artwork of the new forms of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee as well.

If you are heading to a theater on June 27th to watch Transformers: Age Of Extinction, you just might receive a Transformers 4 Cup and a Keychain Topper. This information is brought to us by 2005 Boards Member GabrielPrimel; who brings us exclusive news all the time.

The topper opens up "transforming" into a keychain… which is pretty cool. Optimus Prime and Bumblebee toppers are confirmed so far.

But, do keep in mind that the promotion will only be available at selected theaters.

Check out the promotion poster, after the jump.
