Transformers: Rescue Bots Season 2 began today and what better way to celebrate it than with an Interview. 2005 Boards Member MaxxieOD had the pleasure to interview Nicole Dubuc; Emmy Award Nominee and Script Writer for Transformers: Prime and Rescue Bots. The interview was conducted by Heatwave and Boulder and you can checkout a very cool artwork brought to us by MaxxieOD as well.

Heatwave: Areia L. Carroll asks "With Transformers Prime now over, are the writers thinking of any ways to further tie the shows together since they have been said to be in the same universe? Something like Agent Fowler, Unit:E or even Ratchet having cameos?"

Nicole: The writing team is always trying to think of ways to put Easter eggs in Rescue Bots that tie it to the Prime universe -- a lot of people have noticed the "I hope there's no such thing as a Skyquake" line Blades has, or the implication that Morocco was trying to sell off technology to Silas. I can't spoil anything that's coming up, but know that we're still treating the show as existing in Prime continuity and we pay homage/reference that whenever we can. At one point in season 1 there was a chart of where the Rescue Bots episodes happened in the Prime timeline. Now we lag the Prime events by quite a bit, obviously.

You can read the rest of the interview at the Thread associated with this news post.

It has been a tradition of Entertainment Tonight (ET) to broadcast a special Sneak Peek of Transformers movie Teaser Trailers before they are officially unveiled. It so happens that ET is continuing their tradition this movie year as well.

According to their official website, ET will broadcast a special Transformers 4 Sneak Peek at 7PM Tuesday, March 4th.

So, get your recording devices ready… we will officially see a sneak peek of the upcoming Transformers: Age Of Extinction Trailer. However, it's best to be prepared to get disappointed as well, since previously ET only showed just few seconds of footage and the announcers talked while the video is playing. But, at least we'll see some footage.

Transformers: Age Of Extinction Teaser/Theatrical Trailer is scheduled to release somewhere near March 7th.

As always, our eagle-eyed newsie TunaKaan spotted something really cool. We can finally put an end to the whole "Is the next Transformers: Age Of Extinction Trailer A Teaser or a Theatrical?" debate.

Paramount International Official You Tube Page has created a Playlist for the next Transformers: Age Of Extinction Trailer. Unfortunately, there is no thumbnail yet and you can’t see the playlist on your PC.

The playlist confirms that the next trailer is The Teaser Trailer. To view the name you would require a mobile device with a large screen (tab, phablet etc.).

We are yet to see the new trailer. Based on the facts we have a good chance of seeing it on or before 7th March, 2014

Yahoo! Movies just revealed the very first character poster for Transformers 4 Age of Extinction.

The poster showcases Mark Wahlberg as Cade Yeager who is a single father and inventor. Looks like Yahoo! is once again planning to reveal something big alongside these poster reveals which is most likely the teaser trailer which is set to debut this week.

Or maybe it'll be revealed during Entertainment Tonight's Transformers exclusive tomorrow at 7 PM.

The Rules Have Changed.

UPDATE: Now thanks to Michael Bay's Flickr page, you can enjoy the poster with the highest resolution.

Dark Cybertron is almost over, my friends - and that means, while the two ongoing comics - More than Meets the Eye and Robots in Disguise - will be picking up and continuing on in their second seasons, another series will be joining alongside them - Windblade.

And now, coming to us from Comic Book Resources, we have a brand new interview with the comic's writer: Ms. Mairghread Scott. In this particular interview, she once again doles out previously-stated information concerning the Fan-Built-Bot's upcoming comic, and some new tidbits, such as who the main antagonist will be, how other Cybertronians will view and treat her, when the series will take place, her previous Transformers-related works, women in the comic industry, her own future, and more.

Be sure to read the full interview and discuss it after the jump.

Michael Bay's Official You Tube Channel has been updated with the Title Sequence of Transformers: Age Of Extinction. The animation is completely different than the previous trilogy where the name "Transformers" appear on screen after a transformation. The new animation sort of hints a dawn of a new age with a sleek, simple look.

Also, the Teaser Trailer release time has been changed to 7:30 PM EST March 4th; an hour earlier than what was previously told.

Dark Cybertron will soon be reaching its conclusion - and now, thanks once again to Apple's iTunes website, we have the brief iTunes preview for Transformers: Robots in Disguise #27, the eleventh part of the epic crossover event:

Transformers: Robots in Disguise #27 - Dark Cybertron Part 11
DEATH OF A HERO! BUMBLEBEE! RODIMUS! ULTRA MAGNUS! PROWL! One will fall in final battle with SHOCKWAVE! This one is for all the marbles, folks—it just doesn’t get any bigger than this!

The full issue will be released shortly, but for now, if you don't mind some minor SPOILERS check out the preview and discuss it after the jump.

Also, some fans may be interested to know that, in this preview, we see Jetfire appearing in his Generations Leader design. In addition, we see three more characters which have been reported to be getting upcoming toys: Hardhead, Brainstorm, and Arcee. Could this be our first look at what those figures may look like?

Thanks to 2005 Boards members SydneyY for the translation and Type-R for the original scan, we have the opportunity to read the full text of the interview with Shogo Hasui from the April issue of Figure-oh magazine. Besides some of the same details we've learned before, there's a lot of interesting new information here, including:
  • why they decided against light-up ears for Wheeljack
  • details of Wheeljack's transformation
  • hints about Bumblebee as the next MP and why he was chosen to be paired with Wheeljack

It's a really fascinating read and you can read the whole thing after the jump.

Thanks to General Tekno of the 2005 Boards for pointing us to this Bleeding Cool interview with Simon Furman about the upcoming conclusion to ReGeneration One. In this interview Simon discusses how the story has progressed compared to what they might have come up with way back in 1991, what it has been like working with Guido Guidi, and surprises with his comments about the death count for issue #100.

If you enjoyed the Teaser Trailer for Transformers: Age Of Extinction, you may have noticed a phone number to call (the phone number above, to be exact) on a billboard stating "Remember Chicago". If you called that number you'll receive an automatic reply, followed by a website to visit: transformersaredangerous.com.

This is the Viral Marketing Campaign for Transformers 4. It's common for movies to do so nowadays and the previous Transformers movies also did such campaigns.

For now, we are only treated with a poster stating "Transformers Are Dangerous". But we will see more stuff in the coming future leading up to the release of the movie on June 27th.

Site Sponsor Captured Prey stopped by and shared an update. Check out the first part below, and read on to see their entire newsletter including Pre-Orders!

Greetings once again, fellow TFW members!

We're pleased to announce a new initiative at Captured Prey, the Moon Base Program! The Moon Base Program is our answer to the folks who have asked us over the years if we have a retail location they can visit. Unfortunately, we've had to tell them we don't in the past, but now, we don't! Moon Base locations will be in the vicinity of our home base in Louisville, Kentucky. This past week we were updated with final product images of Before and After's Six Sigma figure - an update of Sixgun for Generations Titan Metroplex.

Today we can pass along some new info thanks to preorder listings from our sponsors TFsource and BigBadToyStore. There are two versions of the figure, one with black arms which is meant to go with the US version of Generations Metroplex, and the red arms which is meant to go with the Japanese Generations TG23 Metroplex. Also shown is a new image of Metroplex's tank "Slammer."

You can find preorders for this 3rd party add-on figure with our sponsor links below, which is due out in March/April.

Here's an update for all of you Transformers Rescue Bots fans. Recently we reported on the titles and airdates of the initial six season 2 episodes, however there was an oddity with episodes 5 and 6 both seemingly being shown outside the show's normal timeslot.

Zap2it has now updated with new times for episode 5, A Virtual Disaster, and episode 6, Spellbound, which are now airing on 3/29/2014 and 3/22/2014, respectively (yes, they seem to be showing out of sequence - or maybe Zap2it just has them round the wrong way?)

In any case, here is what the list of upcoming episodes and their airdates looks like:

3/08/2014 One for the Ages - This Saturday!
3/15/2014 Tip of the Iceberg
3/22/2014 Spellbound
3/29/2014 A Virtual Disaster
