Ever since we saw the first few Age of Extinction promotional images of Optimus Prime riding Grimlock have you constantly been quietly wishing to yourself, "I wish I could make that image cover an entire wall in my house"? Well, good news everyone! While searching TRU UK's website for Age of Extinction toys, 2005 board member mttyns came across this gym. An 8ft x 10ft wall decal of Optimus Prime riding Grimlock from Walltastic! From the description on TRU UK's website:
"Transform your bedroom with this awesome Transformers Wallpaper Mural! Walltastic is the next generation of interactive designer wallpaper murals for children. This unique alternative to traditional children’s bedroom accessories is an easy and cost effective way of decorating children's bedrooms, nurseries, playrooms and games rooms. Walltastic is a wallpaper backed wallcovering that covers any wall area up to 8ft x 10ft. Each product comes in 12 panels which means it is easily applicable and flexible according to how much space needs covering. It comes rolled up similar to wallpaper." The wall mural retails for 44.99 gbp. Strangely enough, the item is available for delivery, yet not sold online or in stores. Toys R Us' US website does not offer the product as of yet. Check out the image after the break! |

Following up on our earlier reported Age Of Extinction toy sightings, we have another confirmation of Deluxe AOE figures being purchased at US retail. The first wave of Generations Deluxes, which include the Dinobots Slug and Scorn, and the Autobot Crosshairs were purchased at a K-Mart in Oregon. Other reported purchases have also been recorded in California.
It looks like the street date will continue to be broken, so again, happy hunting TFW! |

According to an article by a Norwegian News Site, Aker Solutions MH OCH 300 Operator Chair has been used for the upcoming Michael Bay movie; Transformers: Age Of Extinction. No, the device was not used to move machinery but the device itself is a part of the movie.
What we are about to say next may be considered as a Spoiler. But by now, we believe almost everyone knows the synopsis of the movie. For those who don't know about the MH OCH 300 Operator Chair, it is a state-of-the-art operator chair which remotely controls machinery such as Drillers and even Ships. According to the revealed plot of the 4th Transformers movie, humans control man-made Transformers. Now, we all know what everyone is thinking right now… Could this be "that" device? The manufacturers does not reveal any info. But they had this to say: "They called on April 1 last year at. 22.30 in the evening. We thought the it was a joke, but responded affirmatively that they could borrow and use the chair in the movie. In June last year we sent two chairs to Detroit and got them back, gently used and without a scratch with enthusiastic comments. Paramount guys were totally "blown away," says Frankt Robertsen." |

Moving from strength to strength, Hasbro introduced a new Transformers cartoon, one that was written in the west and co-produced with Cartoon Network. This new series was called Transformers Animated, and went with a radical change to the established art style of what had gone before, polarizing opinions from the very first glimpse of the series – though clever writing meant it quickly became a well-loved show. Its toyline was delayed, though, thanks to retailers demanding more movie toys on store pegs. Fans who disliked the new take in Transformers Animated were not left out in the cold either, as Hasbro recognized the success of the Classics series and brought out a new Classics styled series under the name of Transformers Universe, which blended redecos with Classics style reinterpretations of the original characters. Last but not least, IDW proclaimed “All Hail Megatron” as they carried out a soft-reboot of their Transformers continuity.

Entertainment Earth just updated their Transformers section with new official in-package images of Funko's Transformers 4 Age of Extinction Pop! Vinyl figures. The images belong to Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Autobot Drift.
We've seen these guys so many times before. We've seen them at their prototype stage, and we got a first finished look at this year's Toy Fair on Funko's display. What's interesting is that, on Funko's Toy Fair catalog, there was a silhouette of a third figure which they labeled as ''Mystery Villain''. And now we see the figure is actually Drift, labeled as Autobot. So the plot thickens. The figures will be available in May. Check out the images after the jump and be sure to follow TFW as bring you the best news, first. Update: Images removed at the request of Hasbro / Entertainment Earth |

Transformers entered its 25th year and celebrated with a big bang – in the form of director Michael Bay’s signature explosions, with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Revenge of the Fallen was not the only big thing to come out in 2009, since Hasbro rebranded the Universe line as a full-on 25th anniversary celebration incorporating new versions of characters from Beast Wars and Transformers Armada as well as reinterpretations of the classic characters. Transformers Animated concluded with its third and arguably greatest season, although the ending was somewhat soured with the knowledge that the series was cut down prematurely. IDW marked the 25th anniversary in their own fashion, by giving Transformers an ongoing comic series, while in Japan, Takara-Tomy introduced the world to the Alternity…

Automobile News Site; The Fast Lane Car had the opportunity to review the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 used for the upcoming Michael Bay movie; Transformers: Age Of Extinction.
The car in question is the Vehicle Mode of Lockdown; a bounty hunter with a thirst for Autobot blood (well… Energon). According to the site: "Not only does the Aventador LP 700-4 has the presence of a stealth fighter or a transformer, but it will also give you goosebumps with that exhaust note! Never mind the 700 horsepower @ 8,250 rpm from the 6.5L V12, the 7-speed automated manual transmission, and Haldex IV all wheel drive." Courtesy of the weibo page of third party group X2Toys, we have our first full look at the robot modes of their figures that homage the Generation 1 Autobot Clones Cloudraker and Fastlane. This next release from X2Toys appear to be slightly taller than a mainline release deluxe Generations figure, so they should be nicely fit into a Classics/Generations display.

The caption reads: "The calm before the storm.... Lockdown doesn't stand a chance against a room full of LA musicians" It seems as though he is getting ready to record the Score of Transformers: Age Of Extinction today. Judging by the comments posted, even the musicians seems to enjoy what Steve Jablonsky has written. One of the musicians who came to the recording commented: "We're having a terrific time and it's a lovely, emotional score to play. Beautiful writing" Update: Another photo was uploaded moments ago with John Finkleam, Bruce Fowler, Steve Jablonsky and Jeff Biggers at the Sony Pictures Scoring Stage. As Transformers entered its 26th year, a new continuity dawned. Dubbed “the Aligned Continuity”, it was a multi-media reboot of the franchise comprising the novel Transformers Exodus, the video game Transformers War for Cybertron, and the new fully CGI animated cartoon series Transformers Prime. The toyline transitioned from toys based on Revenge of the Fallen to a newly rebranded “Transformers” line, commonly referred to as Hunt for the Decepticons. Combiners got a whole line dedicated to them – sort of – with Power Core Combiners, and Classics returned for a third outing with the Transformers Generations line. IDW’s Transformers comics continued, with two very important miniseries released alongside the ongoing comic – Last Stand of the Wreckers by Nick Roche and James Roberts, and the movie continuity based miniseries Transformers: Sector Seven by John Barber.

Transformers Colombia strikes again, this time with official images of Construct Bots Age of Extinction Dinofire Grimlock and a K-Mart exclusive electronic Titan Optimus Prime.
The Titan Optimus Prime as noted is a K-Mart exclusive release. It's one of the super-simplified non-transforming toys that Hasbro has been developing for this movie line, with very primary plastic colors - red upper torso, and blue legs. It's apparently got some sort of electronic sound effects, and also comes with Optimus' sword. Discuss on the Boards! The Construct Bots Grimlock we saw on show at Toy Fair 2014 in February. It's the largest Construct Bot to date, with light up electronic features and a mini Optimus Prime to ride on his back. These are the first official pictures of the toy that we have seen. |

The King of Evil is a pair of alternate heads and some foot upgrades for Toyworld's not-Megatron Hegemon. The two heads consist of a stoic face and a rage face.
