2005 Boards member Jigga has shared some new images of the mysterious Transformers Prime Arcee redeco with us. This redeco is somehow connected with Botcon - it comes in a bag marked "Botcon 2013" - and it shares a deco with the recently released Trans-mutate exclusive. You might also notice she's sporting a Maximal emblem, like Trans-mutate.
Some are speculating this might, somehow, be a Botcon 2014 exclusive which is leaked. Our view though is that the TCC would not devalue one of their own exclusives, especially not so close to the time of its release. Our thought is that this is probably a mold color test - possibly to see how well the mainline Robots in Disguise version of the Prime Arcee toy looked in the colors. That said, given we knew last year that the TCC's Trans-mutate was going to use the First Edition Arcee toy, perhaps what you are looking at here is a case of Hasbro's factory getting their work instructions wrong and using the wrong Arcee for a limited first run of Trans-mutates. Whatever the real reason is, check out the pictures that Jigga has kindly provided, attached to this post. |

Amazon Japan has revealed images of Takara's July Movie Advanced products, giving us our first look at their Hound, Galvatron, Drift, Strafe, Slash, and last but not least, the highly-anticipated Black Knight Grimlock and Lockdown figures!
The Movie Advanced line is part of Takara's Transformers: Age of Extinction toyline, and is their version of Hasbro's AOE Generations line. They all differ from their Hasbro counterparts in one way or another - some of said differences are somewhat minor, though the biggest and most interesting case of this is Black Knight Grimlock, which has had its color scheme changed drastically from the Hasbro version, perhaps providing us with the most screen-accurate representation of the character yet (though it's still not 100% accurate). We also get a much better look at Lockdown here, and it appears that the world-famous gunface may indeed be achievable! You can view their pages individually at the following links: • AD-20 Black Knight Grimlock • AD-21 Hound • AD-22 Galvatron • AD-23 Drift • AD-24 Strafe • AD-25 Slash • AD-26 Lockdown And these are the Lost Age figures, pulling from the simplified Hasbro releases with new paint jobs: • LA02 Grimlock • LA04 Grimlock • LA05 Hound • LA06 Drift • LA07 Crosshairs • LA08 Scorn • LA09 Lockdown Check them out and discuss after the jump! |

First pics are starting to roll in from this year's Tokyo Toy Show and courtesy of Planet Iacon and Tag Hobby we have our first looks at Masterpiece Ultra Magnus in color, as well as Cloud Shockwave and Rodimus. Shockwave looks to be a repaint of Generations Voyager Whirl in purple with clear weapons, while Rodimus is a repaint of Generations Voyager Springer. Keep an eye here for coverage from Tokyo Toy Show in the days to come!
Update - Trailer mode of Magnus (edit). New pic added, check it out! Update 2 - in person shots of Evangelion Prime added, courtesy of TagHobby. Update 3 - some additional shots from the Takara Tomy booth of the AoE figures. All shots are currently tiny, stay tuned for better shots throughout the weekend. |

Following up on the recent reveal of Takara's Masterpiece 18S Silverstreak, we now have a pair of new images to share with you. These two new images come to us courtesy of TFYuki on Twitter of course! For your viewing pleasure tonight we have a comparison of MP18 Streak with MP18S Silverstreak. Showing off the stark contrast between the two figures (not to mention those fancy rocket launchers on Silverstreak's shoulders). The second image shows us that Silverstreak will come with a sticker sheet with a pair of Autobot symbols in two different sizes. Perfect for those with a size preference.
Check out the new images after the jump! |

Towering over six feet tall, this is clearly a piece missing from everyone's man cave and/or living room. Modeled after his appearance in the original cartoon series, the statue comes with the following:

New trailer for Transformers: Age Of Extinction has shown up on various Chinese media sites. This new trailer is similar to the Official Payoff Trailer but with several new scenes.
The new scenes include Li Bingbing asking Stanley Tucci "What else have you not told me?", Chinese actor Hang Geng taking off his Sunglasses and looking at the sky and the Ministry of Defense scene (A General stating: "The central government will fully support Hong Kong"). We can also spot the Trumpchi e-Jet as well as the actress Ji Pei-hui. Oh and... Grimlock chomps a silver Vehicon. Thanks should go out to 2005 Boards Members OptimusJet for capturing the video and StarGazer for translating the content. |

Previously we brought you the news of Transformers: Age Of Extinction Release Dates being changed due to the FIFA World Cup 2014. We heard the bad news of dates being pushed back for countries where Football is a major sport. However, very recently we saw that UK fans were lucky to have their release date brought forward to July 5th.
Now, we have received a word that the Australian release date has also been brought forward to June 25th. However, the luckiest ones are the people living in Egypt; who will get to see the movie on June 23rd. As for those who are not so lucky… Venezuela on August 15th. Since there are some early releases, prepare for Spoilers and Reviews. You are warned. You can check out the updated Release Dates on the Official Paramount Website. |

An article posted on variety.com has revealed some very interesting new details about the new Transformers cartoon set to launch on The Hub in spring 2015. Of the new details, we have learned the title of this new cartoon, which will be Transformers: Robots In Disguise. We might have had a hunch this was the case back when we reported of Hasbro's trademark application for "Robots In Disguise.
Also included is a new image of the animated designs of some characters including Bumblebee, Sideswipe, and Fixit. With this image we're starting to see the aesthetic of this new show develop, which as a mix of Transformers Prime and Animated in the characters. The article went on to describe the new animated show: [The] show takes place years after “Transformers Prime,” when Bumblebee is summoned to save Earth from a new faction of Decepticons and assembles a rogue team of young Autobots that includes a rebel bad boy bot, an elite guard cadet, a bombastic Dinobot and hyperactive Mini-Con to capture their new enemies. Each new bot is a fully capable action hero but inexperienced in working together in a team, forcing Bumblebee to become both squad leader and coach, Hasbro said. The show will feature voice actors such as Darren Criss, Constance Zimmer, Mitchell Whitfield and Ted McGinley. Also from the article: "[the] creative team includes kids programming vets Jeff Kline (“Transformers Prime”) as executive producer; producer Adam Beechen (“The Adventures of Chuck and Friends”); and Steven Melching, a writer on “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” who will serve as the show’s story editor." Wow! What do you think of this news? Does the Fandom need to come up with another abbreviation for all of these Robots In Disguise toy lines? Are you excited for the direction? Discuss it all with the forums link below! |

More news coming in via BigBadToyStore preorder listings, this time for the Age of Extinction toy line. The easy stuff to identify first is we have listings for wave 3 of the voyager class, which include the Dinobot Slog and Autobot Drift (in his other form which we reported on a while back).
Now the real interesting stuff comes from the wave 3 deluxe listings. We'll put spoiler tags around the figure listed just in case no one wants to be spoiled in the slightest. The listings include the deluxe Generations Bumblebee and Generations Snarl, but also includes a "MV4 Hot Shot." We're not entirely sure who this character could be, but we have seen several reports of the Sonic RS Rally Car in the AOE film. Would it make sense for Hot Shot to take on this vehicle alt mode? Discuss and speculate the listing after the jump! |

Remember when a certain Transformers Generations wave was delayed (some feared this meant cancelled)? We sure do, but we're happy to report any fears over not receiving more Generations toys (specifically Crosscut in this case) can now be put to rest. Friend and sponsor BigBadToyStore has put up preorder listings for the delayed Crosscut, along with some more wave mates such as Nightbeat, Jhiaxus, and the ever popular Windblade! You can preorder them by the case or individually.
This is great news for all fans of the Generations toys as this means the delayed toys are still coming out within a reasonable time frame. Fingers crossed we receive more updates soon for the delayed Generations Arcee and Chromia. |

Great news everyone! We have a new report of new Transformer toys hitting the pegs for you. This time, it's the focus of our most recent TFW Gallery, Generations Rattrap! He was scored by 2005 Board member xterry at a Target in California. No word if his wavemate, Tankor, was also on the shelves but if Rattrap is out, it's a safe bet he is as well. Make sure and check out our gallery on Tankor as well!
Make sure you update your local buddies in our Transformer Sightings forum as new stuff continues to hit retail stores. |

Our good friend and artist Ken Christiansen told us that he will be at this year's BotCon.
"As usual, I'll be selling prints, sketchbooks, original artwork, and taking commissions in the Artist Alley. Commissions are first come first serve, each day of the con. I will be taking on 6 more Pre-order commissions for pick up at the con. Contact ken@badflip.com, if you're interested. I'll have two new prints with me, plus the original paintings for sale, Grimlock, and a GI Joe/TF crossover! Also, I'll be at a Transformers event, hosted at Emerald Knight, Comics and Games, the Wednesday before BotCon, in Burbank. I'll be signing comics, and I'll also have original art, prints, and sketchbooks for sale as well. Jim Sorenson, Livio Ramondelli, and a gang from Transformers Prime, will be there as well! Pretty cool." You can find out more info via his Blog. |

Compared to the huge reveal on Variety this is merely a footnote, but we thought you guys might dig this advance look at the logo for the new Transformers cartoon series, Transformers: Robots in Disguise. It's using a variation of the current bare-bones style logo, but it has a clean and back-to-basics look much like some of the designs for the new show teased thus far. This news comes at you via the official Transformers Facebook page.

Something big may be afoot, ladies in gentlemen, as in addition to all of the recent Masterpiece Ultra Magnus news, TFYuki has taken to his Twitter to post what seems to be a few teases for the 30th Anniversary Masterpiece Fan's Choice winner, Masterpiece Star Saber! The first image shows the original G1 Victory Stars Saber's foot on top of what appears to be a sketch of MP Star Saber - but then, he goes on to post two more images of what very well may be a full-blown prototype of MP Star Saber's foot on top of said sketch, showing an interesting "evolution" type deal (he has ankle tilts now!)
But that's not all! TFYuki then goes on to lay on us the following tease as well: "So everyone, tomorrow at the Tomy booth at Tokyo Toy Show 2014 'Let's Say Go!'" This means that we could be extremely close to a full reveal! Keep checking back to TFW2005 as we keep you up to date on all the latest Tokyo Toy Show news. Let's say go! |

Transformers: Age Of Extinction Advance Ticket Sales are happening at the moment and Hollywood Reporter predicts that the movie will cross US$ 100 Million Domestically at it’s debut.
The site says that the 4th Michael Bay Transformers Live Action Movie will defeat the record set for this year by Captain America: The Winter Soldier. "Those with access to tracking suggest the fourth installment in the action franchise will hit or cross $100 million in its North American debut, besting the $95 million debut of Captain America: The Winter Soldier in April. Projections could easily be revised upwards as the movie's release nears and Paramount makes its final marketing push." Good Luck, Transformers: Age Of Extinction! |
