Mobage has announced the next Transformers: Legends event; Fire On The Mountain.
Autobots Gears, Cliffjumper and Silverstreak are headed to South America where the DECEPTICONS have unearthed the legendary “Crystal of Power”. It’s up to you to stop Starscream and Reflector from using it to build a devastating super weapon in “TRANSFORMERS: Legends – FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN"! |

A pair of new Transformers Rescue Bots toys have begun appearing at US retail. These are the duo of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee as dinosaurs! Optimus Prime is now a T-Rex, while Bumblebee is a raptor!
Both of these Rescue Bots are retailing for $11.49, making this a smaller "basic" release of Optimus Primal compared to the larger $35 one previously released. A big thanks to TFW2005 member Acid Wing for letting us know these have arrived in stores such as the Brooklyn Bay Parkway TRU. |

Mobage has announced some major changes to the Transformers: Legends mobile game.
First up is a new Deck Management feature. This will allow the user to create multiple decks and deploy appropriate decks to suit the Episode. Next is a new Weapon Abilities and Specialization Bonus. From next episode onwards, new weapon cards will be available with new abilities. The abilities include:
The three types of Specializations include the normal melee and ranged as well as a 3rd new type, Heavy. In battle, Heavy specializations will do more damage to Ranged Specializations, Ranged will do more damage to Melee, and Melee will do more damage to Heavy. And Finally... Battle Chest; an upgrade to the existing Space Bridge and changes the way you obtain the cards. Mobage states: Think of Battle Chest like a big box of 100 cards. You can get either 1 card, 10 cards, or 25 cards from the box. Once you get that card, it’s no longer in that Battle Chest. You can see what cards you’ve collected from the Battle Chest already by clicking the CARD LIST button. For more information, visit Transformers: Legends Blog. |

Some new Transformers comic fun packs are being sighted at US retail outlets. There are four comic packs, each one themed around a major player from Transformers: Age of Extinction, and those four packs are Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Grimlock and Drift. They each contain a comic (Spotlights Orion Pax, Bumblebee, Shockwave and Drift, respectively) along with a sticker, fold out poster and temporary tattoo. If you've never picked up these comics, be sure to check them out!

Takara-Tomy's Hisashi Yuki has shared a set of new images of the upcoming Convoy and Rattle figures from the new Japanese Transformers line, Transformers Legends, on his TFYuki Twitter Account.
The duo of Maximals, who are being released under their original Japanese names as opposed to the western names Optimus Primal and Rattrap, are redecos of the 10th anniversary reissue of Beast Wars Ultra class Optimus Primal and the new Transformers Generations Rattrap. Both feature new decos compared to their previous releases - and Rattle is perhaps a bit more show accurate than Hasbro's Rattrap. Check out the new images after the break and see what you think. |

For those folks who ordered the Transformers Collector's Club Subscription Service 2.0, the mystery figure has just been leaked via the Facebook page of Cybertron Cafe. Many fans have already speculated the identity of this secret and to many this will come as no surprise ... if you wish to not be spoiled at all, skip over this news post so you can have the figure revealed when your package arrives: the 7th figure in TFSS 2.0 is none other than Eject, the character most fans believed it to be.
Discuss the figure leak with the discussion link below and again avoid the attached images if you wish to not have it revealed to you. |

Some images have been posted by Felipe León Nájera in the Transformers Colombia Facebook group showing off a couple of new releases in the Transformers Hero Mashers line. The figures shown are Dinobot Slug and Soundwave, both based on their Generation 1 incarnations. Slug like Grimlock is shown in his dinosaur mode, while Soundwave is in his robot mode. These are both part of the "deluxe" series of Hero Mashers which include additional parts to further customize the figures - Slug has a Snarl tail and Soundwave has a Sideswipe arm. A portent of what is to come or just cool extras?

Lastly Felipe León Nájera of Transformers Colombia has shared some images of a Transformers Rescue Bots Silver Force two pack. The set contains redecos of the 3 inch PVC figures of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, who sport their signature colors alongside silver limbs. While not specified on the box this set has the feel of an exclusive to it - perhaps we shall learn if that is true and if so, where, from the San Diego Comic Con in a few weeks time?

Generations Sky-Byte is officially out in the wild, dropping in Hong Kong last week and set to start trickling out to US retailers later this month. I personally couldn't do the slow torturous waiting game, not knowing if my local spots would even stock him since they're still sitting on piles of Blitzwing and Springer. It's been a good run for RID this month, first PEDX04, then our Lucky Draw Fire Convoy, and now Generations Sky-Byte. Check out over 60 HQ shots of him at his gallery link below, then discuss on the forums!

Jagex have sent us an update about their Transformers Universe MOTA game. Continuing their celebrations of the game hitting its Open Beta stage, Jagex will be having a second double XP weekend along with other special events.
What are those events? First of all, the previously announced contests - to achieve a high skill score in one of three brackets, or to invite friends to the game - will continue to run through the second double XP weekend. Full details on the contests can be viewed here - Skill Score contest - and here - recruit-a-friend contest. Second, a further eight hour live stream session will kick off at 11am PDT / 2pm EDT. The first part of the session will involve Jagex's best internal players taking on all challengers from the community. The second part of the stream at 8pm EDT shifts to Jagex's US team and the game's combat designer Chris Bourassa, who will be taking questions via Twitch and giving a masterclass in playing as various characters including Catapult and Mismatch. As always you can check out all of this on the Transformers Universe Twitch stream. Last but by no means least, Jagex has issued a patch which addresses which some were reporting in last week's double XP weekend, including issues with the servers and the matchmaking. Full details on the patch are available here - Transformers Universe July 10th Patch. |

PESTILENCE much like the cyber laser he was forged from, is fast, exact and sharp. When many of these units are together, their AI become one and try to work as a team to destroy their target. Wearing 2 turbo boots on each side of it’s super structure helps PESTILENCE get that jolt of speed needed to knock-down it’s prey before snuffing out it’s spark or dragging it’s shell of a body to TOXIN for some experiments. Due to it being a drone, it’s not used to unique situations or bots that are straight up unpredictable. While in groups, their AI will try to work together, but also makes all surrounding units function in a similar fashion, making the pack as a whole very easy to read. Concept Artist Josh Nizzi has posted some amazing concept art from Transformers: Age Of Extinction. The concept art is near identical to the final products we saw onscreen.
Among the items, we get a closer look at "Two-headed" Shockwave, Optimus Prime in action and the Dinobots; Grimlock and Slug. The art also reveals an injured Optimus with a missing ear. The content also sheds some light on as to why we have two different shields with the two Leader Optimus Prime toys; It appears as though the large shield was inspired by this particular concept art by Nizzi. The three Knights from the Knightship Armory is also revealed, as well as some several unused concepts including a different head for Lockdown and a very punk looking Crosshairs. Speaking of "unused", it seems as though the Silver Knight Optimus Prime is an unused Power-up for the movie just like the previous DOTM Trailer Armor. We also get a clear look at all the Cybertronian Weapons and Spaceships we saw throughout the 4th Movie. We've mirrored the images with this news post. Check 'em out, after the jump. |

Amazon.co.jp has updated with an image of the cover to the Transformers Masterpiece Complete Guidebook. The book is seemingly set to chronicle all the Masterpiece series releases so far from MP-1 Convoy through to MP-22 Ultra Magnus. The cover shows a selection of the Masterpieces stood together including MP-22 Ultra Magnus and MP-21 Bumblebee, which gives a good idea of just how tall (or short in Bumble's case) these toys are. It's a fantastic group shot we very much look forward to recreating in our own displays - check it out and see for yourself.
