For our next gallery, we're showcasing Generations Nightbeat! The Autobot sleuth makes his debut in the Generations line as a retooled Generations Bumblebee, sporting a new head and a cool blue deco.

While Nightbeat does not do anything to address the issues we have with this mold, he does bring out the very best in it. The new head and the deco really set the toy apart from the previous Bumblebee and Goldbug versions of the mold. Plus, if you want to distinguish him still further, you can use the alternate robot mode transformation Million Publishing showed off for their GoShooter which gives a more Generation 1 look, as well as evoking the feel of a trenchcoat - perfect for a gumshoe like Nightbeat.

Check out our gallery and see what you think of this new classics-style Autobot detective:

Krok is a redeco of the Generations Deluxe Class Megatron, part of the Thrilling 30 releases, and will feature an all new head sculpt. His Arms Micron partner is a redeco of the Micron Dai.

Provided in the update by the TCC is also artwork done by Casey Coller and Evan Gauntt.

More images and preordering information for TFSS 3.0 should be following in the coming weeks as the TFSS 2.0 winds down with the final two figures.

UK Transformers, G.I. Joe and Action Force convention Roll Out Roll Call 2014 will be taking place on the weekend of 11th and 12th of October 2014 at the Jury's Inn in Southampton, England! It's a 30th birthday celebration for Transformers and a 50th for G.I. Joe, and they're even fitting in Masters of the Universe!

There is a great guest list for you to look forward to meeting including the legendary G.I. Joe writer Larry Hama, the ever-awesome Transformers artist Nick Roche and colorist John Paul Bove. Emilano Santalucia who has done many MOTU and Transformers toy designs will also be in attendance as will Boss Fight Studios - the sculptors behind Star Wars, GI Joe, Transformers and many more Hasbro lines, along with their own work. Top guys and freelance third party toy designers Ceno Kibble and Cassy Sark will also be in attendance along with G.I. Joe Declassified's Gary Head. Plus you will also have the chance to meet James Eatock of Cereal Geek, illustrator / designer Eamon O' Donoghue, writer of "Fall of G.I. Joe" Karen Traviss, illustrator Jessica Bradley Bove and the podcasters Back to the Eighties and The Full Force.

That's not all, because in association with Fun Publications, GI Joe and Transformers Subscription Service and Member figures will be available at the convention, at a cheaper rate than buying them direct online! There will also be some Masters of the Universe convention exclusives offered.

All this and Mattel, as with previous years, are supplying this year's exclusive Convention figure - Goat Man!

There's lots of good stuff in store for the weekend and maybe, just maybe a special treat in store for Visionaries fans...

Be sure to follow Roll Out Roll Call on Facebook for more information, and head on over to All the Cool Stuff to pre-register for your place at this year's convention!

Jagex have posted an update on transformersuniverse.com bringing us up to speed on the latest happenings in the exciting Transformers MOTA game world!

The update kicks off with a rundown on tweaks to the game's matchmaking and making the game more welcoming to new players - including the introduction of a VR training room for you to hone your skills with your chosen characters.

Closing off the update we have a rundown of new features in store throughout September and into October. These include:

A challenge system - introduced on Wednesday! This system lets you lay down challenges to other players - but this is just the first iteration of the system with lots of plans to add more depth and rewards as time progresses.

17 September will see a new map added to the Elimination game mode, Drummond Gorge, which is said to offer a different set of tactics and challenges. At the same time, the outer base maps are due for a visual upgrade.

This will be followed on 24 September with the Santa Vega TDM being upgraded to address some of the known issues with the battle map, and to make the central part of the map more friendly to vehicles.

1 October will introduce an all-new game mode - Recon! Recon is a capture the flag mechanic where you cannot transform while you have the flag. It is initially rolling out on a dedicated map for that mode, with others to be added over time.

And of course, there are new characters coming! The previously revealed Outsider and Pandemic are coming in September. They will be followed in October by two characters whose names you may know, Flamewar and Chromia! Flamewar and Chromia will be the first 'bots based on Transformers lore to be added as playable characters - but not the last if that Knock Out tease was anything to go by...

Check out the full update and learn more about the game at transformersuniverse.com!

The five new characters revealed include the previously teased Pandemic, along with the awesomely named Contagion, Pitstop and Outsider. The fifth member of the lineup is a familiar face - Transformers Prime's Knock Out! The narcissistic Decepticon doctor looks very close to his Transformers Prime design with a bit of Jagex's own visual flare added in. TFW2005 member Maz dropped us a line to let us know that he has some in-hand images of the Protectobots Emergency Response three-pack's Streetsmart on his blog. Streetsmart along with the rest of the Emergency Rescue pack are reuses of Transformers Prime toys, in this case the Beast Hunters Prowl tooling. At this moment in time it's not clear where this set is intended for a release, though the general thought is these could be Asian market releases or as-yet unannounced store exclusives.

In the meantime, check out these sharp in-hand images!

Rounding out our look at the current crop of Generations Deluxes, here's Crosscut! Crosscut is another character who did not previously exist in the established lore - he's based on the alternate Diaclone version of Skids whose sole Transformers release before this toy was as an E-Hobby exclusive, which is where this character's bio comes from.

As a toy, we're happy to report that Crosscut appears to not suffer from the hip-related issues that dragged Skids down. The new head tooling is pretty sharp and accurately captures the look of the original Diaclone head, and the use of metallic red paint on the toy is a nice surprise. Functionally, this is the same toy as Skids though, so all that was good and bad about Skids other than the aforementioned hips is present here.

All in all, a nice homage to the pre-Transformers origins of the brand, and a good addition to any Generations or Classics shelf. Check out our gallery at the link below to see what you think:

The cards have a glossy, metallic finish on them, and can be kept within a hardcover "book" / album. According to the back of the album, there are seven cards in the complete collection.

Check out images of the album and some of the cards attached to this post.

It has begun! Thanks to TFW2005 boards member Namekjohn, Generations Jetfire was located at a Virginia K-Mart, which will retail for $44.99. This figure is one of the most highly anticipated figures due out this year, so let's help each other out by reporting finds in your local sightings thread.

Who's going out hunting today? Sound off after the jump!

Via the Funko Pop Mania Facebook page, we can bring you word of the latest Pop Vinyl Transformers releases planned by Funko. Next up are a pair of Walmart exclusives based on Transformers Age of Extinction - there's a Bumblebee vinyl, and a red version of Bumblebee to represent his evil twin, Stinger. Bizarrely, Stinger uses the non-battlemasked head, rather than the one with the battlemask he used throughout his scenes in Age of Extinction. This is probably because he's just a straight repaint of Bumblebee, but it still looks odd. Check out the image and see for yourself.

Our sponsors TFSource dropped us a line to let us know that Mastermind Creations will be releasing a new version of their Terminus Hexatron (aka unofficial Sixshot) this November.

Terminus Hexatron Continuum, as he is being called, is said to feature some new tooling including a new head sculpt, new blasters and new chest wings, plus a metallic finish with 70% of the body paint coated, plus the wheelcaps and weapons chromed. The box will also be reworked with new artwork. It's worth noting though that this version will not include the shuriken, katana or comic.

This one is up for preorder now - check it out at the links below:
