DeNA has quietly updated their Transformers: Age Of Extinction mobile game with a new Boss Battle; Galvatron.
About the Boss Battle: While the AUTOBOTS are distracted trying to defeat LOCKDOWN and his soldiers, Galvatron is secretly waiting to strike against the AUTOBOTS when they are at their weakest. If his endless missiles don’t slow players down, Galvatron’s devastating punch just might. Players must take down Galvatron and the onslaught of his army of Stinger soldiers by equipping their team with the best gear available. This will be the most challenging battle the AUTOBOTS have seen yet. You can download the game for Android and iOS. |

Hot on the heels of yesterday's TFcon Chicago reveal of Toyworld's Devilstar unofficial Astrotrain, third party group DX9 has revealed their own unofficial Astrotrain on Weibo.
Named "Chigurh", a play on the sound a train makes, this unofficial Astrotrain is set to stand 24 cm in height and boasts metal parts, "rotateable wheels" and "twistable waist". ToyWorld has released some color images of their unofficial Dinobot Sludge through online store Chingmungmung and via Weibo users Toyszone and MrElijay. These new images show the not-Sludge in both his modes, and reveal that the Dinobot's sword stores in the neck of the brachiosaur mode - there's also some nice poseability on the dinosaur head.

Tag Hobby has posted up scans from the latest edition of Dengeki Hobby magazine. This month's issue has an impressive two page spread dedicated to Masterpiece Bumblebee, showing off both modes, the facepate options and a nice side-by-side shot with MP-10 Convoy for a size comparison.
This is followed by a pair of pages showcasing some of the next releases in the Takara-Tomy Transformers Legends line. The first shows off the next releases - Tankor, Raodbuster and Whirl, all with tweaks to their decos compared to their US releases. The page following has the trio of female Autobots, and again the tweaked decos are evident in these images. Read on to check it all out! |

TFW2005 boards member DecepticusPrime has shared a very intriguing piece of information with us. While scanning through the Leader class Transformers items at the store he works at, he found the AOE Leaders, the 2 upcoming Leader Megatrons, and Leader Thundercracker. This is all, of course, old news. However, upon scanning through, he also found a listing for a new, previously-unknown item - a Leader Class Ultra Magnus.
Take this with a grain of salt for now, but if true, what exactly could it be? Might Hasbro finally be giving us a "complete" Ultra Magnus with full Magnus armor? Will it be G1-based, IDW-based, or something else? Or could it simply be another white redeco of one of the past Leader Optimus Primes? Whatever the case, if legitimate, there is a good chance we'll be hearing more about it the closer we get to Toy Fair in February. Feel free to speculate after the jump! |

I can't access tfw2005.com at the moment. It says it's been moved to a new server?

Yup, I can't get to TFW2005 either. I am also getting the message it "moved to another server". I also noticed that there is a maple leaf icon. I say Blame Canada. :P

Our server company is doing some maintenance and moving servers. To do that, the sites had to come down for a bit, which they are doing 1 at a time. It should be back online in a bit, once things are finished.

The third party/independent group DX9 Toys revealed today on their Weibo page new additions to their line of Legends sized figures, this time around being cleverly named War in Pocket. The first three figures shown are homages to the Decepticons introduced in the 1986 movie: Cyclonus, Scourge, and Galvatron. No names are currently known for the figures, just the release numbers of X-04, X-06, and X-07. You can see some past Legends size releases of DX9 Toys with their Speedo (Blurr) and Guartinel (Ironhide).

TFW2005 members SydneyY and Type-R have both been so gracious as to provide us with a translation of the previously-reported issue of Figure King magazine. The information given here contains lots of fun and interesting factoids, the bulk of it having to do with the fembots and Armor Knight Optimus Prime. To briefly summarize some of what was covered...
• Fembot info: - Arcee was designed by Hironori Kobayashi (of Masterpiece fame) and Yuki Oshima (of Kiss Players fame). - The descriptor used for Windblade is an "Oiran" rather than a "Geisha", and also that she was indeed inspired by Nijika from G1 as many had suspected. • Armor Knight Optimus Prime info: - Details on his new face-swapping gimmick - General details on new molding/accessories - How he's been packaged to mimic the promotional material. • Other general info: - Details on Takara's latest promotions - Upcoming releases - An interview with Hironori Kobayashi will be featured in the next issue of Figure King magazine. You can check out the full details after the jump! |

More cool news on the Masterpiece Transformers front - Hisashi Yuki of the Takara-Tomy Transformers team has received the test shot of Masterpiece Star Saber and has kindly shared a picture of it on his twitter account. It's not the finished article - it's for Mr Yuki's evaluation, so he'll probably go back with some suggestions for further tweaks. But for those following the progress of the latest Masterpiece, check it out!

Apple's iBooks has posted a three page preview for IDW's Transformers #35. This preview only lasts three pages but there is so much continuity getting nods in these three pages alone! It starts with Spike and a man named Garrison Blackrock - aka the legendary G.B. Blackrock character created for the old Marvel comics - and ends with a much-demanded return.
Check out the preview and join us in getting excited for this comic when it arrives on 12 November - the Days of Deception have begun! |
