It begins! We have our very first sightings of the new Transformers Robots in Disguise toys hitting US retail. The first assortment of One Step Changers, which includes Underbite, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, and Strongarm, have now started to hit Toys R Us stores on the west coast, in locales such as Las Vegas and Los Angeles!
For those hunting, Toys R Us' item number is 231943. A big shout out and thank you to TFW2005 members Silvershot and mbenjamins95 for the heads up! |

Another sighting for the all-new Transformers Robots in Disguise series, this time in Europe! It has been reported that the Warrior series has hit retail in Smyths Toy Store in Dublin, Ireland - and with Smyths stores also in some parts of England and Scotland, there is a good chance that fans all across the UK might be able to enjoy these toys soon! Wave 1 of the Robots in Disguise Warriors includes Grimlock, Strongarm, Bumblebee, and the Decepticon Steeljaw.
They're priced at €19.99, which is a slight markup over the Age of Extinction Power Battlers series. A big shout-out and thank you to TFW2005 member Ironhide4 for the heads up! |

Takara-Tomy has announced that from mid-Decemver they will be partnering with Toys R Us Japan to offer a special campaign accessory - the Temenos Sword, a movie-accurate deco of the sword that comes with the recently released AD-31 Armor Knight Optimus Prime. Named for the Knights Temenos, who are name dropped in Age of Extinction, this accessory is limited to 6,000 pieces, and as with so many of these giveaways, will be available from participating branches of Toys R Us Japan with a purchase of 3,000 yen or more on Transformers products (while stocks last!)

Thanks to Tag Hobby, we have been provided several in hand images from the Combiner Wars demo that was held on December 6, 2014. Of particular interest in these new images are shots of the Legends figures Powerglide, Bombshell, Thundercracker, and Windcharger. Thundercracker and Windcharger are also shown as part of the combination gimmick, both attaching to Optimus Prime's chest as a sort of shield. Also provided are several more in hand shots of Optimus Prime and Silverbolt, along with their different combinations, to hold us over onto the Combiner Wars hit retail shelves in abundance.
Check them out after the jump. |

The website of Michael Bay has just uploaded a brand new video titled The Finishing Touch. This behind the scenes video goes into detail about, you guessed it, the finishing touches of the blockbuster Age of Extinction. If you have nothing on your agenda for today or an extended lunch break, give the video a watch as it's over 22 minutes in length. Plenty of detail to go over given the nearly three hours of action AOE has!

blacklai of TFND is continuing to post more images of Transformers: Robots In Disguise toyline.
This time he is bringing us out of package images of RID 2015 Warriors (previously known as the Deluxe Class) Wave 1. We have a really nice look at Bumblebee, Strongarm, Grimlock and Decepticon Steeljaw. Thanks to the packaging, we also have a good look at how the transformation is going on. Instead of the usual instruction sheets, we now get the instructions on the back of the packaging itself. The new Warriors transform in just 7 to 10 steps; even less steps than the AOE line. |

Once again it's time for another TFW2005 Reveal.
Hasbro has applied for a new Trademark at the United States Patent And Trademark Office. But this time the trademark doesn’t directly refer to the Transformers Franchise unlike previous reveals. This one is sort of indirect. Titled as Mini Mashers, we can speculate that the line would consist of miniature Hero Mashers figures which would include (speculated) Transformers and Marvel characters. The trademark was filed on December 4th, 2014 under the Trademark ID 86467419. Trademark Description: "Toy kits containing a plastic toy figure and detachable plastic body parts for affixing to the toy figure to form various caricatures" We do not know when we'll hear about this officially but Hasbro has been revealing their new lines as soon as they are applied as trademarks in recent years than previously (RID was revealed just weeks after filing the trademark whereas Airachnid took 3 years to do that). News Post Image: Transformers Hero Mashers Megatron. |

Concept artist Jay Howse has shared some work which he did for Jagex on their Transformers Universe MOTA game. The artwork he has shared consists of a bevy of CGI pieces, covering a range of characters, from mainstays of the franchise like Ratchet, Prowl and Wheeljack, to additions from the lore of Transformers like Warpath, Chromia and Scrounge (complete with what looks like a special arm). The artwork is rounded out with some completely original designs, such as Break-Neck and Vectorium, plus some vehicle mode designs including a vehicle mode for the Autotrooper.
The artwork is fantastic, and some of the pieces such as Warpath show the textures and the progress of the piece, meaning it is also a good lesson in how a piece like this is developed. Be sure to check it out! |

MP-21 is officially out and making it's way to the hands of collectors all over the world. This is a release G1 fans have clamored for since the Transformers brand revival of the late 90s early 2000s, and one that many said would never happen due to licensing issues with Volkswagen. Well, it has, and TFW2005 has a full high resolution gallery of MP-21 Bumble (Bumblebee) done up and ready for viewing today. Read on to check some quick thoughts and key images, then hop on over to the full gallery linked below for over 90 shots of Bee in action!
This is also the first of our new "Sponsored Galleries" features here at TFW2005, so we'd like to thank site sponsor TFSource for providing the figure for us to shoot. You can grab MP-21 Bumble from them right now; they are in stock and shipping! Check here for the full TFW2005 gallery: Transformers MP-21 Bumble Full Gallery |

Thanks to site sponsor BigBadToyStore, we may have just learned of a new character reveal for the Robots In Disguise (2015) cartoon and toy line. Potential spoilers ahead if you're trying to avoid character reveals ...
In the first series case listing of the Tiny Titans figures, there is a character card with the Thunder-Hoof name attached to it. The image of the figure is still a little too small to make out the alternate mode, but the character is definitely a Decepticon and likely some type of beast-former, probably the deer based design going on those antlers. The sharp eyed might also notice some Generation 1 creeping in with Cliffjumper and Prowl (though the figure with Prowl's card looks more like Bluestreak). This new toy line are small figurines, non-transformable, and can be purchased from BBTS via the case or by single blind bags. Check them out after the jump! |

First Ireland, and now the rest of the UK! The new Deluxe class analog for the new Transformers show, Robots in Disguise, has hit UK retail. As before, these guys are in Smyths toy stores - this time in Longton, Staffordshire. Smyths seem to be the chain to check out if you want a Bumblebee, Strongarm, Grimlock or Steeljaw to add to your collection. They're priced at £14.99, so are roughly the same cost as a Generations Deluxe in UK money.
A big thanks to TFW2005 member Payres for the news tip! |
