There's always been a trend toward making young, baby or "chibi" versions of characters as long as we can remember - from Young Indiana Jones to the Muppet Babies. Now it seems via third party Dr Q, a subline of Dr Wu, Transformers is getting a new take on this concept, starting with Grimlock. "Babylock", as this unlicensed piece is known, is a take on what a baby version of Grimlock might look like - assuming Grimlock ever was a baby and not just built by Wheeljack and Ratchet in a cave on Earth. Check out the images attached to this post and see what you think.

The official Transformers Youtube account has updated with a pair of new video clips from the new show, Robots in Disguise. First up is a clip focusing on the more comedic elements of the show via the comic relief character, Fixit - though as the clip shows, there's much more to him than we do justice with in that brief statement.
Next up is a clip featuring Optimus Prime - you might consider this one a bit of a spoiler, so view with caution: The Transformers Youtube page has also updated with the clips previously posted on Transformers.com. |

Here is something rather cool we thought we might share with you. Geekologie reports that a software engineer, Craig Kovatch, has made an Optimus Prime stained glass window. More amazing, this is his very first such stained glass window! It's made of 122 pieces of glass, and looks suitably spectacular. Check it out and see what you think.

Further to our earlier report, Beyond Home Entertainment has now confirmed that they will be releasing a complete Season 1 DVD boxed set for Transformers Rescue Bots. The set collects all 26 episodes of the show's first season, and is expected to be released on 2 March 2015.
Beyond Home Entertainment has also posted a listing for a DVD "Serve and Protect", which is also due to be released on 2 March 2015, and is expected to feature 7 episodes, based on the DVD's runtime of 154 minutes. It's thought that these will be the first seven episodes of the show's second season, given that Beyond are releasing DVDs with the show's entire run in order. US fans, you may wish to find a way of importing these if you want the whole run of Transformers Rescue Bots on DVD, as Shout! Factory have announced they have no plans to do complete season boxed sets for the US. |

This one is a bit of a mystery, so take it as a rumor for now.
TV listings including Zap2it and LocateTV are listing that the next four all-new episodes of Transformers Rescue Bots are all set to air on 1 February. Four episodes, back to back, starting at 7am, if this is to be believed. The four episodes listed are Season 3 Episode 11 Did you see what I thaw?, 12 The Attack of Humungado, 13 Thieves Like Us and 14 Time After Time. Take this as you find it - the listings on Zap2it are unclear on the latter three episodes, and we have reports that at least one fellow fan is seeing the first four episodes in these slots on their DVR. But if you're a Rescue Bots fan, you may want to set these up to record, just in case new episodes do show up at the given times. |

Ever since All Hail Megatron, IDW's version of Thundercracker has been one of the most interesting characters in the Transformers comics, and it's a depiction that's earning him not one but two new toys this year. Today we're taking a look at the smaller of the two, the Legends class Thundercracker.
This Thundercracker is based on the F-22 design that was designed by Guido Guidi for IDW, and it's a straight-up redeco of the excellent Legends class Starscream mold that was released in early 2014. It's a mold that features a simple but pleasing transformation, and a decent range of articulation. The deco is excellent, and arguably works far better on this toy than it did on Starscream. While not as awesome as Powerglide or Bombshell, this Thundercracker is an excellent example of how to do a redeco. Legends class Skywarp to finish the Seeker trio, please, Hasbro? Check out the gallery at the link below and see what you think of this fun toy: Combiner Wars Legends Thundercracker |

Via the Planet Iacon Facebook page, we now have our first full look at Takara's version of Superion, the first offering in their new Unite Warriors line (Takara's version of Hasbro's Combiner Wars). It seems this will be sold as a gift set, being labelled as "UW-01".
As many had been speculating, he does indeed include the missing member of the Aerialbots, Slingshot, rather than his replacement Alpha Bravo. Slingshot, as many had also been speculating, is a redeco of Firefly with what looks to be a new head. The other individual Aerialbots feature many deco differences from their US counterparts for increased G1-accuracy, also with Superion possessing white hands and feet rather than the black ones of the US release. Also featured is our first look at Takara's version of Robots in Disguise Warrior Class Bumblebee, who also looks to feature a handful of deco differences from the Hasbro version. Check it out after the jump! |

Children's Museum of Indianapolis will be displaying a special exhibit for the Season 1 of Transformers: Robots In Disguise.
The exhibit will be on display from March 7th, 2015 till July 26th, 2015. This indicates the possible US airdate for the series (which aligns with the previously heard rumour). The site mentions the following: TRANSFORMERS: Robots in Disguise™ March 7–July 26, 2015 As Hasbro’s TRANSFORMERS franchise celebrates its 30th Anniversary, get ready for a museum exhibit that shows the fun and innovation that has gone into the creation of the iconic robots. This exhibit will showcase the heroic Autobots and villainous Decepticons, including favorites like Bumblebee, Optimus Prime and Grimlock. Since their introduction in 1984, TRANSFORMERS characters have converted from robots to vehicles, jets, dinosaurs, and animals. The excitement and fast-paced action of a brand new animated series, Robots in Disguise from Hasbro Studios will debut in 2015 and the exhibit will feature new characters that will be sure to inspire families to create even more new stories. What are the secrets to creating something that can move and twist and contort itself into an entirely different being? TRANSFORMERS fans of all generations can use their own imaginations and explore the design and engineering that goes into crafting these beloved characters. The TakaraTomy website was updated earlier today to showcase Transformers Adventure (their version of the new Robots In Disguise cartoon)! There's not a ton of new information yet in the preview page with the exception of an image of Takara's TAV01 Bumblebee figure (Warrior Class Bumblebee).
Over on the Takara Twitter handle, it was also revealed that Ryohei Kimura will be voicing Bumblebee in Transformers Adventure. Keep an eye on TFW2005 today as there is sure to be a lot dropping for Takara's Transformers Adventure toy line! |

Hasbro Studios attended the NATPE Conference in Miami (January 20th - 22nd) and highlighted the plans for their TV Programs. Among the list of TV Shows was Transformers: Robots In Disguise and Transformers: Rescue Bots. Hasbro Studios mainly focused on the US, Latin American and European segments and gave a vague idea as to when we will see the upcoming Transformers Animated Series.
We have with us the statement made and the poster from the conference. Hasbro Studios stated that it is focusing its sales efforts on its four franchise titles: Littlest Pet Shop, Transformers Rescue Bots, My Little Pony and the soon-to-launch Transformers Robots in Disguise. "All of our franchise titles are being exhibited globally, with the exception of Robots in Disguise, which will launch in a few months on Cartoon Network in the U.S., Latin America and Europe," says Gustavo Gomez, the company’s sales director for Latin America. "Our priority is to work with our partners to keep our audience engaged in our content through all possible platforms," Gomez notes. Considering all the facts and rumors, we can't state and exact release date for the series in US, Latin America and Europe. But we can speculate that the series will air in the April or May timeframe. If the series is aired earlier than that it would certainly be a treat for the fans. |

Thanks to the weibo page of redbeanwang, we have our first few images of Mastermind Creations Felissaber! This final, yet optional, component to their Feral Rex combiner. Felissaber is remold of Tigris (aka Rampage) as a saber-toothed tiger. The head of the tiger has been made to be removed and can be utilized as a gauntlet. This figure can be used as an optional arm on Feral Rex to make him more symmetrical. He would replace Talon as an arm, who can then be attached to the back of Feral Rex. These images indicate that he's just about ready to ship to retailers if he hasn't already!
