It looks like WB-01E Fierce Attack "Onslaught" the final figure in Warbotron's WB-01 "Bruticus" combiner will be getting it's release soon due to several members on the Weibo site posting pictures of the figure in their hands. The members WHEEL_JAEHEE, Blood Messiah & Micky_hEr晔 have also posted pictures of WB-01F X-ray Warbotron's "Shockwave Kit" that comes with additional weapons for all five combaticons plus a small transformable Shockwave figure. It looks like some assembly will be required for said figure, also it's not clear on how to get this extra "Shockwave Kit" yet but you can put your order in for WB-01E at your favorite retailer with the links below.

Continuing with the surge of Third-Party releases prior to the Chinese New Year, we have in-hand, in-package pictures of the newly renamed ToyWorld Evila Star (Astrotrain) courtesy of ToysZone on Weibo.
Scaled to be either a very large Classics figure but more likely to fit into your Masterpiece collection, Evila Star has a toy-accurate aesthetic rather than cartoon accurate. It features some very impressive engineering to create three very convincing modes. They look so great that you'll be hard pressed to pick your favorite. Hasbro's Jerry Jivoin was gracious enough to sit down with Ben's World of Transformers at Toy Fair for an interview, mostly concerning Combiner Wars. He discusses the design process of the line, and gives some hints about the Fan Built Combiner - mostly notably stating that a gender option will indeed be included.

The Maestro of Mayhem (or should we say Bayhem) is turning 50 years old today. Director Michael Bay is known to the Transformers fans as the director who introduced the Transformers Franchise to the modern audience.
Michael Bay worked for the four Transformers movies for over 10 years. Mr. Bay was just 40 years old when he took the directorial duties of the first live action Transformers movie under the guidance of Steven Spielberg. Speaking of which, this February marks the 10th anniversary of the script written for the 1st Transformers Live Action Movie. So we can say Happy Birthday to both Michael and the Transformers Movie Franchise as well. |

The TFExpo Facebook page was updated to announce the show returning for its 5th year this August 14-15 in Wichita, Kansas! Also announced were two great guest announcements: Dan Gilvezan and Buzz Dixon! Read on for more details as well as registration infomation.
TFExpo returns for a fifth year! Our 2015 show will be held August 14th and 15th at the Holiday Inn Wichita East I-35 here in Wichita, Kansas (Kellogg and Rock location). This year's show celebrates not only our favorite transforming robots, but all Action Figures and 80's Toylines. And to help us commemorate our fifth show, we're bringing in none other than fan favorite Transformers: Generation 1 Bumblebee (Transformers) voice actor Dan Gilvezan! Dan will be speaking and signing autographs throughout the show. But that's not all! Dan will be joined by one of the creative forces who helped shape many of our childhoods, writer Buzz Dixon! Mr. Dixon wrote episodes of Generation 1 TRANSFORMERS, G.I. Joe, and many more 80's Toons and beyond. He'll be hosting a Writer's Workshop at TFExpo as well, so stay tuned for details on that. |

Something fun to close out your day with is a bit of Generation 1 trivia to share with you, courtesy of The Spacebridge Facebook page. In this post we get to see a rare look at a Powermaster Optimus Prime design sketch, which shows off the planned Headmaster gimmick that was later dropped.
Here's the full blurb with some great information about the Powermaster Optimus Prime figure and its originally planned gimmicks: Trivia Tuesday! - Did you know that Powermaster Optimus Prime was originally planned to be a POWERMASTER + HEADMASTER + TARGETMASTER! The Headmaster part was dropped late on, this explains why the large head is removable and why the trailer has a compartment in the back with a ramp. Originally "Roller" would have become Optimus's head and be stored in the back of the trailer when in vehicle mode. Here are some rare design pictures showing the Headmaster. No pictures of his Targetmaster gun have been found (yet), Hasbro staff who remember working on this recall two identical transforming guns were planned. The first patent for this toy still shows the Headmaster. I'm going to do a big update this week on G1 toy concept art, stay tuned! Pretty cool? Feel free to share your thoughts by clicking the discussion link below! |

Both of these elements are uniformly blue on the US version.

Long time friend of TFW The Spacebridge has shared something exceptionally cool on his Facebook page. Many of us are aware that the Action Masters assortment were among the very last releases that came out in the Transformers line in the US - and a few final releases made it to Europe in 1991.
But, as with any line cut short, designs were made that would never see the light of day. That is where The Spacebridge's post comes in. He has shared eight pieces of artwork showing some Action Masters that never made it off the drawing board - and some are rather cool. These bits of art show Action Master versions of Ultra Magnus - who would have come with a trailer in a similar size class to the Optimus Prime one, which could split into two separate battle vehicles. Combiners Bruticus, Superion, and Predaking all were concepted, with Superion and Predaking having motorbikes that turned into gunnery stations, much like the Prowl that was released in 1990. A Perceptor was also concepted, but like Bruticus there is no hinting at what he might have came with. All the figures are shown with additional armor / weapon parts in a second robot sketch, which suggests this would have been the overall gimmick of these Action Masters, after the transforming partners of the initial releases and armor of the European ones. Check out the images and give some major thanks to The Spacebridge for sharing all of this with the fandom at large! |

Hasbro has partnered with Toys R Us to hold a round of voting via Twitter to decide the special powers of the Fan-Built Combiner. The powers which are being offered are Teleportation, Earthquake, or Gravity Control. To vote, you simply tweet @ToysRUs before the end of February with the hashtag of the power which you would like the Fan-Built Combiner to have access to.
While this is probably a purely cosmetic thing, and it will probably at most will only affect the bio and the comics, it does raise the interesting possibility of having a Combiner with some truly unique abilities. Get on Twitter and have your say! |

Ever since Generations Leader Thundercracker was revealed, a repaint as Starscream seemed to be more likely to happen than not. This theory was further, solidified, if you will, by the revelation of the Transformers #41 cover, which has Starscream based on the leader Thundercracker design, with a crown.
Toys R Us Australia has a listing up for Transformers Generations Leader class figures. While images of Megatrons are shown, the listing is technically for all leader class figures. Meanwhile a biography is up for Starscream: Starscream commands one of the most fearsome military units from Cybertron: the Seekers. The squadron has brought him great power and glory, but that means nothing as long as Megatron is the one who rules the Decepticons. Until Starscream can claim that throne, he will have to be content to be king of the Seekers. The war between Autobot and Decepticon rages on, and with Starscream in the fight, the action gets more intense all the time! This awesome Starscream figure is a massive force for evil in robot mode with a blaster on each arm and an appetite for destruction. But when it’s time for a screaming air assault, he converts to jet mode! Get ready for a whole new generation of Transformers mayhem with this incredible Starscream figure! Oddly enough, this is up before the likes of other figures previously revealed, such as Thundercracker, Megatron, et al. So maybe we'll see leader Starscream revealed soon? |

The next DeNA Transformers: Legends event; “Knights Of Unicron” is now live!
Here's the official description from the Transformers Legends team: Even before they were the hottest band in the universe, the Knights of Unicron were still the stuff of legends. Loved by fans from Antilla to Zarak, these true metalheads shredded like no one else could. With the powerful riffs of MEGATRON and SOUNDWAVE, and the crazy vocals from OPTIMUS PRIME, nothing was going to stand in their way, not tonight! After years of melting faces and blowing roofs off of houses, the Knights of Unicron found themselves in need of new talent and possibly a new pecking order. MEGATRON and OPTIMUS PRIME both vied for the position of frontman and lead singer, each claiming to have the touch. Into this entered young AUTOBOT JAZZ. An up and coming musician known for his smooth grooves, AUTOBOT JAZZ was eager to prove himself in the Cybertronian music scene. He went to the Knights of Unicron audition with his friends LASERBEAK AND RATBAT in hand, to show the Knights what they could do. Will AUTOBOT JAZZ and LASERBEAK AND RATBAT make it into the band? Will they win, if they dare? Can the group stand withstand the turmoil within their ranks? How will this look on CH1’s “Behind the Digital Audio File”? Find out on TRANSFORMERS Legends - “Knights of Unicron”! Dear TRANSFORMERS Legends Fans, Please be aware that with the arrival of the Ultra Legendary reward cards, like the mighty MENASOR, the difficulty of our events have increased to rise to the challenge of these and the other, more powerful cards! Roll out, TRANSFORMERS Legends Team Check it out after the break. |
