Via Mr_Elljay on Weibo, we have a look at FansProject's Smart Robin redecoed to resemble the Transformers Zone character, Sonic Bomber. This is, we believe, a future re-release of the mold, potentially as an exclusive, although details so far are sparse. For now, check out the image of this potential upcoming new release.

Via PreviewsWorld we have our first look at some of the characters who are being included in the third assortment of Transformers Tiny Titans. The series seems to be embracing all Transformers continuities, as we have seen from the previous assortments including the likes of Superion and Topspin alongside newcomers Thunderhoof or Quillfire - and the third assortment seems set to take this further, with not releases not only based on Generation 1 characters but also Beast Wars. Seen here are three of the upcoming figures, featuring Generation 1 Optimus Prime and Shockwave along with Beast Wars Megatron (yesssssss...)
Additionally, via Hasbro.com we have a look at Fracture from Robots in Disguise. |

Thanks to T_soiya on Twitter, we now have our first look at Takara's Transformers Legends LG13 Megatron, which is the Generations Leader Megatron figure done up in a relatively similar, albeit a slightly different, color scheme.
Notable differences include the lack of red on the inner arms, the plastic on the joints being cast in grey rather than red, having the orange, purple, and red chest detail paint apps removed, and also having red paint added to the sides of the torso. Is this small amount of differences enough to get you to spring for the Japanese version of this figure? Let us know after the jump! |

Earlier today we saw brand new Tiny Titans revealed, including Generation 1 Optimus Prime and Shockwave, and Beast Wars Megatron (yesssss). This evening we received yet another reveal for more Tiny Titans figures!
Some notable names from today's line up include: Robots In Disguise Drift, Fracture, and Fixit, Beast Wars Megatron, Generation 1 Optimus Prime, Shockwave, Wreck-Gar, Repugnus, and Doublecross (a couple of the figures are still hard to make out). Via Mr Elljay on Weibo we have a look at two more upcoming unofficial transforming robots from FansProject. First up is a redeco of their MADLAW to resemble the Masterforce character Sixknight - a logical reuse of the mold and given the rarity and price of the original, one that is sure to please fans.
The second is a reissue of their unofficial Headmaster Chromedome, Code, in colors more closely inspired by the Generation 1 Chromedome. For both releases not a lot is known beyond "these are probably happening". It's possible they may be some kind of online exclusives - all will be revealed in time. |

It's time for some more in-hand galleries of the Combiner Wars toys, and with the recent announcement of a Menasor set for Japan, now seemed like a great time to take a look at the Stunticon Japan is not getting - Offroad!
Like Alpha Bravo, Offroad is a newcomer to the established combiner team, and his bio even pays tribute to that fact. He's visually got Wildrider's deco in truck mode, but in robot mode he has a nice shade of turquoise to break up the grey, which works great for him. Offroad also shares a bunch of cues with Generation 1 Crankcase, which some fans have picked up on, particularly in his robot mode. As a toy, Offroad is good. He's got a full range of movement other than ankles in his legs, including a waist swivel. The arms feature a similar range of movement, but the sides of the truck on his shoulders can catch on the front of the truck on his back - but not as much as you might think, they actually have a very good range of movement. What I particularly love is that the head is on a balljoint, and has enough movement to be posed looking up or down, or even cocked sideways, which together with the wonderful personality captured in the headsculpt really gives Offroad a lot of character. As you might have guessed, I really like this one, not only as a member of the Stunticons, but as an individual toy in his own right. Even if he gets displaced from my Menasor by an eventual Wildrider, I'm still planning to keep Offroad in my collection display for his own sake. Check out the gallery and see for yourself: Combiner Wars Offroad Gallery |

Master Made's 002 Titan was shown off at the Lunar Toy Store booth during NJCC today. The SD version of not-Metroplex was a little more refined from last time, but still in the test shot phase. He had a heft to him with diecast and a sturdy plastic frame. Check out some in-person shots from the show after the break!

Courtesy of the Weibo page of Toyszone, we have a look at a potential upcoming limited edition release of Iron Factory's Sonic-Tech Figure. This possible exclusive is a repaint of their recently released, Legends-scaled Blaster figure, except in Twincast colors. The design of this figure pulls it's influence from IDW's Spotlight Blaster comic. No, mention where or if this set will be exclusive or just how limited it may be, but keep checking back for more updates.
In the meantime, follow along with this announcement in the ongoing discussion thread in our 3rd Party Discussion forum. |

Fansproject has updated their Facebook page with an udpate regarding the next release in their Lost Exo Realm series, Volar aka Swoop! For the last few months, it would appear that this figure would be coming with a red colored G1 toy accurate torso as opposed to a G1 cartoon accurate, blue chest. The good news, is that Fansproject has listened to the feedback and have decided to include an optional blue torso in with this release, so fans can choose to display Volar with their own personal preference. The bad news however, is that including this optional torso has delayed the figure until mid-April.
Keep checking back for more updates, and join in the discussion in the third party forum. |

Amazon Japan has opened up preorders for a few figures set to release this April from the Takara Transformers Adventure line. These preorder pages show off new images of Takara's TED06 Big Optimus Prime (looks to be one of the simple transformation figures), TAV14 Ultra Magnus (a version of the Beast Hunters Voyager Ultra Magnus), and finally TAV13 Nemesis Prime (a black repaint of the Warrior Class Optimus Prime mold).

Friend of TFW D-Drive has sent us some truly awesome news! It seems like a Generations Slingshot and Wildrider - using the names Quickslinger and Brake-Neck - might be on the horizon and arriving in our collections this side of the summer!
While searching the Diamond site I found these 2 listings. TRANSFORMERS GEN DLX QUICKSLINGER AF CS TRANSFORMERS GEN DLX BRAKE-NECK AF CS It would appear Brake-Neck/Wildrider and Quickslinger/Slingshot come in cases of 8 of the same figure, retail for $17.99, and have a ship date right now of May 27th 2015. It's worth noting that Quickslinger and Brake-Neck are previously established substitutes for Slingshot and Wildrider, used for the Bot Shot and Kre-O versions of the characters in the past. |

The Play With This Too Kickstarter is entering it's final week! They are shooting for $80,000 in seed money to get the ball rolling on their Lost Protectors line of action figures which feature a lot of throw backs to some of our favorite lines. Full details are available over on the project page, with tons of items available for unlocking if they get that last minute push. We wish them good luck and encourage everyone to check it out and pledge if you dig it.

I’d like to thank you all for coming out to the Spring NJCC 2015 action figure toy show. The turn out was incredible as action figure collectors ruled the day in Cherry Hill NJ! I hope everyone enjoyed meeting new people and seeing old friends. Personally I feel this is the best dealer room we have ever seen. I walked away with a lot of Marvel Legends and Marvel Universe figures, and got caught up with my G.I. Joe collection as well. The best part of the con is being among fans who enjoy Action Figures and Toys just like you.
Special thanks to our guests MARK BELLOMO, DAN KHANNA and all the positive and amazing dealers we have at New Jersey Collectors Con. Our next show is Sunday August 2nd 2015….. Hope to see you there! |

IDW has released a full preview of the first part of the Combiner Wars crossover. Windblade #1 picks up where Transformers #39 left off and takes us to the lost colony world of Caminus! The preview only has the one extra page compared to the iTunes preview from the weekend, but it's a good one! We've also got the alternate covers, a subscription variant by Livio Ramondelli and a very cute and heartwarming retailer incentive, which you can see to the left.

The official Transformers Facebook page has just posted something many fans will be delighted to see - following up on our news from yesterday, they've now teased the rumored and highly-anticipated Combiner Wars Quickslinger and Brake-Neck, who are the renamed Slingshot and Wildrider.
The photo that's been posted reads "The rumors are true." They also say "Yes, they’re coming. You know the names: Brake-Neck and Quickslinger. Want to see the faces?" This also gives us a peak at the figures' packaging. A few TFW2005 boards members - artiepants and Shin-Gouki - also put the image into Photoshop, giving us a small glimpse of their vehicle modes. As many had been expecting, it looks as though Quickslinger will be a redeco of Firefly, with Brake-Neck being a redeco of Dead End. You can see for yourself after the break! Keep an eye out, as it looks like we may be getting a full reveal soon! Update: Aaand that was fast - they've now been fully revealed, confirming our previous speculation: "Ask, and you shall receive. Here are the Generations Combiner Wars Quickslinger and Brake-Neck. They’ll be joining the battle and hitting online retailers in May!" Mark your calendars for May, folks! It also sounds like they may be online exclusives - we'll keep you updated as to which retailers will be carrying them if so! |
