Comic book writer Georgia Ball will be taking over the regular writer's duty for the IDW Transformers: Robots In Disguise (2015 Animated Series) comic books, after Issue #0.
The writer announced this on her Tumblr account: "This was actually announced Easter Sunday at Wondercon but the word hasn’t gotten around: I’m writing this series after issue #0. My childhood parked in front of Transformers G1 is now justified. I can bring Starscream back from the dead right?" Joining her is the talented artist Priscilla Tramontano for an all-girl team. Georgia Ball also mentioned that the comic series is not a re-telling of the existing episodes. |

Brazillian Transformers fans Transformers Dioramas has shared some images from the 32nd ABRIN Latin America Toy Show. The highlight of their coverage are some images of the Combiner Wars Titan Class Devastator, who looks to be roughly the size of a small child when held up by an adult - yes, he is that big!
A big thanks to W. Alex Silva and Transformers Dioramas for sharing this with the fandom - check out some of their other coverage of the event. |

Via wwevskof of ACToys we have a look at the Platinum Edition versions of Blitzwing and Astrotrain. The two feature unique new decos, which are thought to be inspired by Flywheels (for Blitzwing) and Transformers Victory's Machtackle (for Astrotrain). It's worth noting that Blitzwing has had his missile launchers removed for this release.

E-Hobby and Takara-Tomy Mall have added new images showing off the Unite Warriors version of the combiner, Menasor! The Japanese release of the Stunticons from Combiner Wars, Unite Warriors Menasor is based more strongly on the Generation 1 cartoon designs, down to the silver-white arms on an otherwise black Motormaster toy, the lack of stripe on Dead End, and other changes. The set also forgoes Offroad in favor of a Dead End retool for Wildrider, meaning this is one giftset that incorporates all five main Stunticons, as they were in Transformers Generation 1.

We're back with another gallery of the Combiner Wars Stunticons, and this time, we're looking at the smallest member of the group, Blackjack! Blackjack is a double homage - he's named for and based on a Generation 1 Micromaster, but in his role as the chest of Menasor, he also references the black drone car that came with the original Motormaster.
Blackjack is a cool little toy. He's got a decent amount of articulation, including a neck and ball-jointed knees, which we do not see often in the smaller toys. The transformation is decent, though nothing particularly outstanding or new, and keeping with the melee theme of the Stunticons, Blackjack comes with an axe which can be mounted on the rear of the vehicle to provide a spoiler. Overall, Blackjack is a nice little figure, and a great complement to the Stunticon set. Check out our gallery to see more of this Classics Micromaster: Combiner Wars Blackjack Gallery |

Simply Toys Singapore have posted the official images for one of the next upcoming Platinum Edition sets of Generation 1 reissue Transformers, the "Seeker Squadron". The set collects Dirge, Ramjet, and Thrust in one single box, and going by these small images, all three have their classic colors. While the images are small, they give an idea of what to expect, and show off the nice artwork adorning the box itself.

Today we've got the final in-box product images for FansProject Volar and Velos (Swoop). They show the accessories, instructions and verify a few extras in the form of swappable chests for either a red toy-accurate or blue cartoon-accurate look, plus replacement hips for FansProjects' earlier release, Columpio.
These guys should be shipping out to your retailer and hopefully will be joining your Classics/Generations collections very soon. |

Once again courtesy of W. Alex Silva and Transformers Dioramas, we have a look at the upcoming Titan pricepoint Combiner Wars Devastator. These new images are once again from the ABRIN 2015 Latin America toy show. This time, we have a showcase of the details of the figure, including where the various parts and limbs connect to one another, and other such detailed. While Devastator himself is still not fully transformed, these are a great and insightful early look at the next release in the Titan pricepoint.

During the Joecon 2015 Collectors Club Roundtable (run by the same folks as Botcon), they mentioned a new addition to their club offerings. They will be releasing Transformers Prime Soundwave repainted as a Stealth B.A.T. (Battle Android Trooper). B.A.T.s are robot, Termninator like troops controlled by Cobra in the G.I. Joe lore.
They will also be offering an "Old Snake" version of Cobra Commander, as seen in the Transformers episode "Only Human".This goes along with their previously seen Marissa Fairborn and Afterburner, using a G.I. Joe figure mold and non-transforming G.I. Joe vehicle. Check out full Joecon 2015 coverage for more details over at HissTank.com |

Transformers garage kit accessory manufacturer Renderform have recently celebrated their fifth anniversary, and in doing so, have revealed a whole slew of new releases.
Chief among these are two different heads for Combiner Wars Menasor - Road Shogun, a samurai themed head based on a combination of designer Venksta's own thoughts and the Generation 1 designs by Studio Ox, and Road Bandit, a more Generation 1 cartoon inspired version. All three are being done with a choice of light-piped or painted eyes, and three different expressions. The Combiner Wars Stunticons are also the subject of five new weapon accessories, based on the guns used by the Stunticons for their Generation 1 toys. Beyond this there is also a full on garage kit for the Prime Thundertron family of molds to give it a more Optimus Prime inspired head; limited run new versions of popular sword weapons Banshee Blade and Fury Blade; a limited second run on the Generation 1 themed Jetfire air rifle; and going back to where we started, a Menasor head - though this one is a prototype for an unmade Animated Menasor set, and is a nice bust to display with your Botcon 2011 figures. Check out all the latest Renderform releases on the Renderform homepage. |

Genetic of TFND has come through again, giving the fandom a look at the upcoming Combiner Wars First Aid. First Aid is based on his appearance from the More than Meets the Eye comics, so he'll be a great addition to any collection of Lost Light 'bots, as well as the Protectobots.
First Aid is a remold of the Stunticon, Offroad - though remold is perhaps not a strong enough term, because First Aid here is a complete reworking of the toy, with every single vehicle panel redone, to the point that all the two toys share is the transformation scheme and the accessories - it's that well done. If this is what Hasbro is bringing forward for mold reuses in the future, we say, bring it on! Check out a selection of the images attached to this post. |

Rounding off the Combiner Wars Stunticons, here is their leader, the malevolent Motormaster! Motormaster is an extensive remolding of Combiner Wars Voyager Optimus Prime, to the point that most of his upper body / front of truck has been redone.
Like Optimus Prime, Motormaster is a stocky figure, with solid articulation. The brawny build works for the character, in our opinion, and the remolding keeps him from being "just" a grey Optimus Prime. He's got new weapons - a blade and a blaster - which merge into a larger sword. What we particularly like is the reworking of the Menasor form chest cavity, which features something which just might be inspired by Age of Extinction Galvatron molded in the space occupied by Blackjack when Menasor is fully combined. Overall, Motormaster is another solid offering in the Combiner Wars lineup. He's brawny and powerful, and has the right kind of commanding aura when displayed with the other Stunticons. Check him out and see what you think: Combiner Wars Motormaster Gallery |

E-Hobby have announced they will be carrying a new exclusive release - a Scourge themed version of Combiner Wars Voyager Optimus Prime! This Grand Scourge is a black and gold version of Combiner Wars Optiimus, and is a homage to a pla-kit released in the Super Link line in 2004, picking up on the Transformers Energon Optimus Prime references in this toy.
Grand Scourge comes with a huge cleaver of a sword, named "Matrix Breaker", repurposed from the Ultimate Beast Hunter Optimus Prime. He's due for release in September priced at 6,500 yen, and will also come with his own (Japanese) comic to explain his backstory. |
