Previewsworld have published the solicits for the IDW comics shipping in August 2015. Life after Combiner Wars brings us a an unlikely pairing of Tracks and Needlenose, another appearance by that black version of Arcee, and Beast Wars! Plus if the promise of those familiar faces is not enough, it has also been suggested we may see some other familiar faces in the Robots in Disguise cartoon comic tie-in...
Check out the solicits after the break. |

Thanks to fellow board member, roguesaint, we have an interview with Alex Milne from Women Write about Comics.
This is a very good interview, as Milne discusses his favorite tools for drawing comics, his favorite two characters to draw are a tie between Skids and Nautica, and that some of the hardest characters for him to draw are Ultra Magnus, for scale reasons, and Red Alert. We won't spoil the whole article for you, as it's a good read. Click the link to check out the interview, then join the discussion after the jump! |

Everyone's favorite TakaraTomy employee, Hisashi Yuki, has just posted a few new images of Legends LG-13 Megatron - Takara's version of Hasbro Generations Leader Megatron. One shows him packaged in robot mode, but the other is perhaps somewhat more interesting, as it shows Megatron back-to-back with what appears to be a possible Takara version of the Armada Leader Megatron.
Check it out and sound off on what you think of this after the break! |

Chris Sims of Comics Alliance recently had an interview with IDW Publishing's comic series Transformers vs. GI Joe writer and artist Tom Scioli. In the interview Tom talks about the creative process, the large casts of characters, building a fictional universe, and many more interesting things. He also reveals that he has written a comic adaption of the Transformers vs. GI Joe movie... which, of course, is a movie that doesn't actually exist! You'll have to read the interview to find out more!
Update: And not much later, part two of the interview has just been posted! |

Good new for those that are part of the Tranformers Subscription Service, your first figure is now arriving! The first figure is non other than Carzap! Carzap is a homage to the cancelled Takara G2 figure, and he even comes with a mini Kreo set homaging the Block Town set he was going to originally come with. The mini set even comes with a G.B. Blackrock. Carzap uses the Generations Thrilling 30 Bumblebee mold. Keep an eye on your mail boxes folks!

Deadline is reporting that new writers for the upcoming series of Transformers spin-off and sequel movies have been hired. Included are Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, Iron Man writers Art Marcum & Matt Holloway, Pacific Rim 2's Zak Penn, and Amazing Spider-Man 2's Jeff Pinkner.
The line up is impressive with folks who've done some serious work, Kirkman being the most curious but potentially exciting in what he could bring to the franchise. Fresh blood all around seems to be on the agenda for the Movieverse, discuss on the forums and let us know what you think! |

PREPARE FOR DEVASTATION!!! New images have come to us from Planet Iacon's Facebook Page of the SDCC/STGCC Exclusive Titan Devastator! This exclusive is sporting chrome paint, as evident on Mixmaster's cement barrel, and box design is awesome as well. It features a slip cover with Devastator's face on the front, and box's cover has Scrapper's shovel as the front flap!
The back of the box features a cool bio for Devastator: DEVASTATOR is a raging hammer of chaos, battling conflicting voices in his head one nanoklik, then crushing his targets the next. He is the perfect weapon, held back by one imperfection: the circuit-clogging conflict caused by bots unable to wield the very power that they themselves bring to life. The CONSTRUCTICONS struggle to successfully merge their thoughts into one cohesive action, making it difficult to focus the wrath of their combined form. Were they able to harness the full force of their collective power, they would give the DECEPTICONS a weapon capable of pounding entire civilizations into dust. As long as that threat exists, DEVASTATOR will loom as a shadow across the universe, an enemy the Autobots - and all the worlds they protect - must fear. "Prepare to meet your doom. Nothing can withstand the might of DEVASTATOR!" Discuss after the jump! |

New images from a hobby magazine started popping up on Twitter tonight. Among those images we get our first look at Unite Warriors Groove! We can clearly see that Groove is an all new mold for Unite Warriors Defensor! Also in the images we get our first looks at Adventures Powerglide, Cosmos, Drift, and a Steeljaw repainted into a Autobot police car.
Lastly we get a frontal shot of the Takara Amarda Megatron that was teased earlier today as well as Black Convoy from the Reveal the Shield Laser Optimus Prime. According to the magazine, both figures will be available, most likely as event exclusives, at the Takara Tomy booth during the 2015 International Tokyo Toy Show being held at Tokyo Big Sight from June 20th to the 21st. |

Thanks to TFW2005 boards member vproject, we've got our first retail sighting for a few Robots In Disguise Warrior Class Figures! Spotted in Manila, Philippines were the much anticipated Jazz and Sideswipe! Hopefully this sighting means good news for the rest of the world that we'll be seeing them soon as well.
Also purchased were One-Step Changers Fracture and Thunderhoof. Autobots may be dominating the Warrior Class to this point, but these Decepticons even the odds just a bit. Be sure to use our sightings forums to help fellow collectors when hunting for these new RID releases! |

Thanks to forum member T4mercustomz, we have pics of something cool and random. Family Dollar stores seem to be getting Kre-O Transformers 88-Piece Brick Boxes. These are listed at $5, and are likely similar in fashion to the previously released 73-Piece Kre-O Transformers Brick Boxes, which popped up at Big Lots. The boxes contain an assortment of brick pieces in Transformers friendly colors. Great for building play sets or expanding upon your custom figures.
See a few photos after the jump. |

The next DeNA Transformers: Legends event; Best Of Episode - Me, Grimlock, King!, is now live. This is the 2nd time this event was repeated. On June 1st, 2014 this very event was a repeat of the event which originally went live on May 17th, 2014.
ME, GRIMLOCK, AM STRONGEST! ME, GRIMLOCK, SHOULD BE KING!“ Over the course of several battles, Megatron and Shockwave have managed to get the idea into Grimlock’s head that, as the strongest Autobot, he should be the leader. "You always say that you are the strongest. Now prove it!” For the most part, Grimlock ignores this as he proceeds to smash in Decepticon heads, but the ideas linger. “NOT FIGHTING BORING. ME, GRIMLOCK, WANT FIGHT NOW!” Tired of the lulls in combat after the Autobots drive the Decepticons back to their hidden base, Grimlock finally decides that the best way to keep the fighting going is to take over the Autobots. He and the other Dinobots make their move while Optimus Prime and Wheeljack are out on a mission, quickly overwhelming their teammates and taking control of the Autobot base. “ME, GRIMLOCK, KING!” Now the “king” of the Autobots, Grimlock has the Dinobots begin preparations to launch a full assault on the Decepticons. Optimus Prime and Wheeljack, just returned from their travels, try to intervene, but are brushed aside by the mighty Dinobots. Meanwhile, Megatron and Shockwave prepare for the inevitable attack, looking forward to the destruction it will bring to their Autobot foes. “KING GRIMLOCK LIKE KICKING DECEPTICON BUTT!” Can Optimus Prime stop Grimlock before he goes too far? Will Megatron be able to goad their new “king” into destroying the other Autobots? Find out in TRANSFORMERS: LEGENDS - ME, GRIMLOCK, KING! |

TFW2005 member Kafuka Fuura has shared with us some images of the case of the Q Transformers cartoon blu ray. This case features the three main robots - Optimus, Bumblebee, and Lockdown - in CGI art on the front, and art in the style of the shorts themselves of all the various Q Transformers on the back. The disk is adorned with the mugshots of the various characters.
Also included in these images are a look at the Amazon exclusive items, three non-transformable and unpainted figures of Q Transformers Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Lockdown. Check out all the images attached to this news post. |

Since the reveal of the Takara-Tomy Unite Warriors Defensor earlier today, there has been some confusion as to the nature of the release of Defensor and the all-new Groove who is accompanying the set. We have undertaken a translation of the preorder page on Takara-Tomy Mall in order to hopefully clear things up for our readers. The key points are that, yes, this set is a Takara-Tomy mall exclusive in Japan, and yes, Groove is a new mold for this set which is being said is "unattainable overseas", whatever that actually means. Since we cannot use a web translator on the images on the page, we've just translated the text immediately after the banners - check out our translation after the break.

We've shown you the individual Combiner Wars Protectobots - but like any good special team, when they stand united, they become more than the sum of their parts. Rounding out our coverage of this great recent wave of Combiner Wars toys we have the gestalt formed of the five Protectobots - the mighty Defensor!
Fully combiner, Defensor is a solid robot - no hip issues like the Motormaster mold on this torso. In fact, the design of the combiner Defensor can best be described as a "wall" - his silhouette impresses the idea that if this guy is in front of you on a battlefield, he will hold the line no matter what. The individual Protectobots make fine limbs for Defensor, and special shoutout to the new guy, Rook, who aesthetically manages a shape similar to that of Groove, whose spot he took on the team (unless you are in Japan... ). Speaking of Groove, the Legends class motorcycle Protectobot forms a nice optional chestplate that locks in very solidly - no problems with him falling off like Blackjack. Overall, Defensor is an impressive bit of Combiner, being a nice, big, solid robot, carrying on the excellent work of the individual Protectobots. As individuals or as a group, this assortment is very good - but we could say that of the whole line so far, really. Check out our gallery of Defensor at the link below: Combiner Wars Defensor gallery |
