A small update coming through for third party company X-Transbots, but one that gives us our first image of a colored prototype for their Andras figure (a Masterpiece inspired Scourge figure with Targetmaster). Facebook user Uranusdd posted the image of the colored Andras to his timeline showing off the progress this project continues to make. Is this one stacking up to your liking?

Thanks to TFW2005 boards member griffin-of-oz for letting us know of Mega Optimus Prime's release in Australia. This figure features a black and red color scheme and transforms in 3 steps (although it's been suggested by some in-hand reports it's more like one step).
Who's picking this one up? Sound off in the thread! |

Good news, UK Transformers friends - it looks like we are also getting the new Robots in Disguise Legion class toys. Fixit, of Robots in Disguise Legion Class Wave 3, has been purchased at the Macclesfield Tesco store by TFW2005 member OptimushedPrune. Hopefully this also means that his casemate Underbite is out and about - though since we had solid-packed cases of Warrior Drift for a while, don't count on it!

The always lovable TakaraTomy employee, Hisashi Yuki, has just tweeted out a new image - one which seems to confirm previous fan speculation; that Takara's Unite Warriors Devastator will indeed come with some G1-style guns for each of the individual Constructicons to wield - something that is not being included with the normal Hasbro or SDCC versions of this release. These appear to be all-new, presumably exclusive molds created specifically for the Takara version.
Stay tuned for more, as we have confirmation that Unite Warriors Devastator will be shown off in full next week at the Tokyo Toy Show! |

In an exclusive interview with Collider's staff writer Christina Radish, Mark Wahlberg mentioned that he thinks Michael Bay will be back to direct the 5th installment of Transformers film when asked about Bay's return to the franchise. This despite of Bay's earlier statement saying he will leave the directing chair for someone else to fill.
Together with the recent recruitment of a writers team, what would this spell for the future of the Transformers Cinematic Universe? Sound off your thoughts with us on the forums! |

DX9 Toys have updated their Facebook page with final product images of their take on Rodimus Prime, Carry. Carry is scaled to stand roughly the same height as Masterpiece Optimus Prime, and has a certain Studio Ox-ish vibe going on in his design. He comes with a Targetmaster and a photon-eliminator rifle, but the real thing to take note of here is how this Rodimus transforms from robot to space winnebago without needing to remove the trailer - it integrates into the robot mode.

Prepare for devastation!
It seems we have a new Transformers video game to look forward to. Gaming site Pure Xbox has leaked some images and information of what is coming to us next from Activision. Transformers Devastation, as it is known, is a cel-shaded brawler with a very slick artstyle recalling the look of the original Generation 1 cartoon. From the images we can see the Autobots in the game include Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Sideswipe, with Optimus and Bumblebee looking like they may be playable characters. Decepticons shown include Megatron and Devastator, the latter of whom absolutely towers over Optimus. Generic Decepticons armed with swords are also shown in droves, and they seem to resemble the Generation 1 Decepticon Runamuck. There is evidence of combat involving both guns and also close-range melee weapons, such as a pair of swords on Sideswipe and Optimus using his energy axe. Further details are unknown, but Pure Xbox reports this game is heading to Xbox 360 for certain. We'd imagine that Activision will not ignore the current generation, or the Playstation, so we'd imagine that Xbox One, Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 versions must also be on the cards. Allegedly, this game will be officially unveiled at E3, so we hope to see more then. For now, check out the images which we have mirrored here for your viewing pleasure. Is this finally the Generation 1 cartoon inspired game we've all been dreaming of? |

Thanks to TFW2005 member maxlovesamber for snapping an in-store picture of Transformers: Robots in Disguise One Step Changers Autobot Drift and Decepticon Fracture at a Toys "R" Us in Columbia, Maryland. These two figures make up Wave 3 of the RID One Step Changers, and as their name suggests they transform in just one simple step.
Keep checking TFW2005 for all of the latest Transformers news and updates, and happy hunting Transformers fans! |

Best Buy Canada have put up preorders for the new Transformers video game, Transformers Devastation, which we first learned about earlier today. From these listings, we can confirm that:
There's also a few more new images attached to the listings - one of which shows a purple Ramjet, so it looks like the Decepticon Air Warriors are also in as enemies to fight. |

Courtesy of Distribuidora de Brinquedos Hobby, we have a look at some more official images of upcoming Robots in Disguise goodies. There is a look at the Decepticon Hunter, the shapeshifting sword used by Bumblebee and the other Autobots in Robots in Disguise - and true to its on-screen version it switches from roleplay sword to blaster.
There are also some images of the Mini-Cons assortment - some of these official images we saw after Toy Fair, but there are new ones including all eight toys in their packages in there. The images on the linked pages are very large - we've uploaded some optimized ones here for your viewing pleasure. |

Fans Toys have released some new images of their upcoming Masterpiece style Insecticon, Bombshell. Grenadier is a faithful recreation of the original design with a G1 cartoon spin on it, and roughly the same size as Masterpiece Bumblebee. It's coming in two versions - cartoon grey deco FT-12, and toy purple deco FT-12T.
Check out the new images attached to this post. |

This is very cool. Remember that one Masterpiece figure that was cancelled, then it wasn't, then it was cancelled again but had a different paint deco and no collector's coin ... and it was still really hard to get? Well, thanks to the Facebook page of Kool Kollectibles, we have a look at the cancelled collector's coin for Masterpiece Exhaust! Unfortunately the image doesn't seem to indicate any sort of official release. The best that we can gather is these coins may eventually, slowly, find their way into second hand sellers.
For now, enjoy the mirrored image of what could have been if not for the legal difficulties of getting MP-23 released. |

Via Autobase Aichi we have an in-hand look at the Robots in Disguise Deployer set, Drift with Mini-Con Jetstorm. Drift is a big, chunky toy, simple in poseability - he is unapologetically a gimmick toy. However, these images do show that the Mini-Con launcher does stow in robot mode, so the robot mode profile at least avoids the awkward launcher sticking out by his foot all the time.
The Mini-Con, Jetstorm, is seen here without his armor, a side of him we rarely get to see in the official photos to date. There are also some comparison shots between this Drift and the Warrior class version - giving more of an idea of the size of this new toy. Check out the images attached to this post. |

Following suit of his rival Drift, Robots in Disguise Deployers Fracture and his companion Minicon Airazor has found their way into another gallery by Autobase Aichi.
Fracture's vehicle mode is pretty close to the on screen model, albeit with a side car to incorporate the Deployer gimmick. With the minicon in place, it does create a more convincing driver-less bike. In robot mode, Fracture assumes more of a slender profile compared to his rival, however the Deployer gimmick is much more egregious in this case. With all things considered though, his robot mode, along with Airazor's as well, represents the character pretty well. Check out the images, and let us know what you think after the jump. |

Game Informer has published an article detailing their Previews Editor, Matt Miller's hands-on experience with the up coming Transformers: Devastation. Describing his time going thought the playable demo, the article reveals a few more details about the title developed by Platinum Games.
> The Project is being head by Kenji Saito, who also directed Metal Gear Rising Revengeance. Many team member from Platinum are Transformers enthusiasts who are excited to work on their beloved franchise. > Following the tradition of Platinum, this game takes you from a corridor like environment to a wide open space for the larger scale fight. > Both Melee and Ranged weapon are found in the game. Characters can equip up to 4 weapons at a time. > Sequences allow the player to head up a ram in vehicle mode, transforms, then attack in robot mode. > Character leveling system with stats hearkens to G1 character Tech Spec (strength, intelligence, speed, endurance, rank, courage, firepower, and skill. ) > A Weapon crafting system to create upgrades from items you will find from the environment. Sounds like Platinum is really dedicated to creating a full experience beyond just the story mode, and I'm sure you will be able to see this and more in the footage scheduled to be revealed tomorrow; Tuesday 16th June, 2015 at 6PM Eastern Time as we reported earlier. You can check out the article here, then join in on the discussion on the boards. |

Hisashi Yuki of TakaraTomy has gone on Twitter and shared images showing the packaging and a slight preview of the instruction booklet of Transformers Legends Black Convoy and Armada Megatron. It appears TakaraTomy will continue their tradition of using black and white color scheme for their exclusive products, which continues to give them a premium and impressive look.
If you haven't heard already, these figures will release at the TakaraTomy booth at the Internationl Tokyo Toy Show this weekend being held at Tokyo Big Sight in Japan. Check out the images after the jump. |

On the Horizon of Hasbro Generations Devastator's release, comes a new challenger in the third party toys arena named Generations Toys with their first project GT-01 Gravity Builder, homage to G1 Devastator. Courtesy of TF Upgrader via Facebook, we have prototype images of this combiner team in the combined robot mode, as well as individual vehicle and robot modes.
Each individual member of the combiner team features many points of articulation and individual weapons. They also turn into their respective vehicle modes equipped with what appears to be rubber tires. When combined, the Gravity Builder figure will stand about 38 cm (approximately 15 inches) tall, which appears to be about the same height as Warbotron's WB01 Bruticus Homage Combiner figure. Unfortunately, no release date or pricing information is available right now, but we will be sure to let you know when it surfaces. So, what do you think of the new third party group going into the ring? Check out the images and share your thought with us on the boards. |
